Question, is your motor mounted directly to the swing arm? Or is it mounted to the go cart frame?
I mainly ask as I’m building one but I mounted mine to the swing arm and I’m a little worried that not having the engine under some suspension is going to mess up some stuff

Hey, it should be fine if you mount it to the swing arm as long as you have some sort of rubber mount to absorb some of the shock. If you mount it on the frame, you just got to make sure that when the swing arm moves, (up and down) the chain does not tighten and loosen. I’ve got mine mounted to the swing arm and it has some rubber bushings between the swing arm and the engine mount.

@@kingbuilds8thanks! Yeah I do not currently have rubber bushings to soften it. Looks like yours is doing well.

@@Jcamo28 You're welcome! I can tell you now, it it well worth finding proper bushings, because my go-kart vibrates to much. I was in a rush, and just stacked a bunch of rubber washers under the bolt, and it helps, but not ideal. One of the exhaust welds might have already had a crack, but broke from all the vibration.
