Same, I live in Texas with giant wasps that come in red, black, blue, and as soon as I see one, I teleport out of the area😭 I think I’d be a little more calm around them in the bee suit but I’d need my headphones or something cause I don’t think I can deal with that damn buzzing noise😂
One stung me in the butt and I started exterminating them from my yard. Then one brushed up against my dog(didn’t sting) and now I will chase them with a stick.I have managed to hit one midair with a pvc pipe and kill it.
I have no clue how I've come to enjoy your videos so much since this type of work was never an interest of mine but im definitely glad that I came across your videos a little over a year ago. Keep up the good work.....Also crazy idea, could you see what effect does spraying brake cleaner on them will have, whenever im working on a car and any type of spider, bug, etc comes around I spray them with it and it seems to kill them. Not sure how it will work on hirnets or bees and i hope to never personally find out 😂
For anyone interested in the powder, all it is is diatomaceous earth. Its a bacteria that grows in the water (most people come across it in fish tanks, especially with new tank syndrome, people tend to get diatom out breaks. Its a silica based bacteria that looks like brown algae. When its dried, it turns into this powder which get into the joints/wings/abdomens of bugs (any kind) and causes micro cuts and also acts as a desiccant and dries their bodies out. So by walking through it, it gets in between their body parts, building up and causing tiny cuts, and then dries them out, killing them without the need for pesticides or sprays of any kind. You can pour it on ant hills, or any type of pest. Its literally called "diatomaceous earth". Hes just using a brand name at prob 2x the cost lol. But any hardware store should have it
I respect what you do because I know the dangers of it! I've had an experience once where I went into a shed on my dad's property that had been unused for awhile. And 'Stupid ME', I didn't really look around inside First before entering and just went for the item I was sent to retrieve. Well, I found out 20 seconds later that I was now SURROUNDED by 3 large nests worth of those 'Crimson and Black' feral wasps! and the moment I realized it, I could only think to myself: "Sometimes and for some jobs... there just ain't enough RAID in the WORLD!
awesome video! I like how it’s so up close. I did notice that a lot of your commentary is hidden by the angry wasp attacks. would you consider a lavalier (sp?) mic that you can clip inside your hood so we can hear what you’re saying? regardless, keep up the good work.
I live on the west coast of Canada and have faced those bald faced hornets (super aggressive) and yellow jackets over the years. Not fun. Did a tour of duty in Latvia in ‘22. One fine summer morning on base I was hanging out by our hard shacks and first heard, then saw an asian giant hornet land not 10’ from me and was blown away by its size. Got as close as I dared and snapped a pic. First and thankfully last time I laid eyes on those puppies. Have you ever had to deal with any of those in your trade?
Great video - big fan. I hope that whatever is going on in your personal life isn’t hitting you to hard and I just know that with your lovely happy personality that you will be free of burden sooner than later! 🤗 Sending you a hug from 🇨🇦
Hey Wasp Hunter, i gave you the spray adhesive idea awhile back. I think i may have another good one. I have an electric bug zapper from amazon and its really powerful. If you could position it right in front of the hole, and then bang the nest might be good.
Exactly! Don't give a hoot what anybody thinks. Keep doing it your way. Sticking your finger in that hole was awesome! These videos are so entertaining. Thanks again.
Good job sir, you are correct, you want them to fly back to their entrance, or at least looking for that entrance. If you bagged the nest right away, there's 100s of the foragers out, and they'll swarm trying to figure out wtf happened to their nest.
How the heck can a hornets nest grow that big so close to home without being noticed. You would think they would've stung someone walking by it before it ever got half that size
great video! when you grab them like that do they ever get you through the gloves? i figured either you are just use to the stings or they were not penetrating all the way through the gloves. I used some tempo dust over the weekend on a nest under my house, I gave them a few good puffs and crawled under my house and there were about 50 dead ones on the ground. Is there big difference between tempo and drione?
I’ll say the hornets have more brain cells than anyone complaining about the sound. It’s blatantly obvious that the sound is buzzing from the wasps and not static or whatever else these smooth brains think that sound is 🤦♀️
So in this video I just noticed some earwigs running around when you were ripping the outside off. Do the hornets not mind them? Or can hornets not hurt them?
I'm wondering if those home fogger bombs in a can would work on those things? Also the tennis racket was funny as hell. You could hear when you hit them!
I've been a nature lover since a kid, bug collection included. I've never seen the huge nests you deal with UNTIL yesterday, when a neighbor showed me. Won't be parking under that little tree for a while!
This guy cracks me up with the voices and humming but let’s not forget he is providing a very useful service. Maybe You should consider making a 3hour movie and call it one flew over the wasp nest l for one would watch. Good luck.
The nests are getting big this time of year! I wish I know how to find them in the woods easier so I can observe them, and collect the vacant hive in the winter. They are incredible works of nature of a very dangerous insect.
That nest is HUGE and so low, I can’t believe nobody was stung even walking on the sidewalk or god forbid kids riding their bikes and making noise setting that nest off.
What is your preferred brand of dust? I've taken out 4 in ground yellow jacket nests in the last month in my front and back yard, I want to try dust for the next one. Great video! You are always so relaxed in these
I accidentally stepped on a ground hornets nest few days ago. Didn’t realize it, within seconds I was covered and wound up stung 16 times, from my face to my ankles.
Dad told me that my brother had bought him a salt weapon. I said, "An assault weapon?" He said, "Yeah, a salt weapon." I responded, "So an assault weapon?" To this day, that is the dumbest and funniest conversation I've ever had. He ruined his brand new TV by trying to shoot a fly. 😂
lol 😂 I bought a small tennis racket that I have on my porch that I use for wood bee 🐝 tennis. They are perty quick but I get one once in a while. They aren’t as aggressive as wasps but they can sting because i stepped on one in my socks and the rascal stung my toe.
If they were swarming and you happened to use the Drione to do a Lebron pre-game Chalk toss.....would all that Drione floating in the air be enough to kill them as they are flying thru it trying to sting you? Or does it need to be more concentrated than that?
Wasp hunter....I'm from your area 40+ years in Rockford cool to know your from my home region 5 years old I moved out of Illinois. It became to rough in my area now living in Alabama love it here Illinois is too corrupt for me anymore just ask the folks from Dolton!!!
Amazon has a rechargeable bug racket that runs on 2 3700mah batteries! Holds charge for months and really cooks em. I have never tested it on myself. Sparks like a stun gun!
You know, as much as I hate wasps and hornets, I’ve gotta give it to them. Without fear, they attack a being 100x their size to protect their home in the face of certain death. They all do their job in the hive without greed or want. Makes you wonder how much humans could achieve if we were more like the wasps 🤔
I'm always amazed at how calm you are with all those wasps. If I see one near me, I'm a mile away in 2 seconds
I’ve done thousands of nests you deff get used to them after awhile
Same
Nah I’m 509999999999 miles away in 0.1

Probably paid off by Big Hornet
I like how he just squishes them in his hand 😂😂
That shit makes me cringe

I have a UA-cam short of brake cleaner I posted a few days ago check my channel and search shorts. It kills the whole nest fast
@@wasphunter7131 Will do
Thank you

Not bacteria. Its silica, the tiny shells of ancient zooplankton
Your videos are so entertaining and addictive. I absolutely love your videos 😂❤
You are so brave . It scares me when you smash them in your hands I’m always thinking the stingers will go through your gloves. 😬😬
That poor camera LOL!
They did not like it at all this time lol
6:16 “goodbye little buddy” proceeds to get crushed
Or the “Nooo don’t kill me” before he crushes one 😂
😂😂😂😂
Giving credit where credit is due, hornets/yellow jackets sure know how to engineer a strong nest support structure.
I just purchased a Chapin rose duster model just like yours! You are their best advertisement!
So fucking rude.

What suit do you use to keep you protected from these hornets? 😮

I have to admit, it is unbelievable how smart they are. I appreciate the sounds. Thank you sir for your videos.
Great sound!!!
Greetings from Biloxi Mississippi. 😘
The sound effects are excellent!!!

Awesome vids dude..just wondering..what state are you in and how much do you charge for a clean out of a nest??
That is really low
Yeah anyone could accidentally bump into that and be in bad shape.

Use a mouse glue trap and wave it around.
