I can't wait for her and I to make them together. BUT...when you made your ice cream cone cupcakes....that brought back hilarious memories from my sons 7th birthday. I shared the idea with a friend whose son shared birthdays with my son and we were going to make these for their baseball team! Mine came out pretty good, I had one or two tip over, My friend showed up with a tray full of tipped over cones and the cake batter cooked all around them! IT WAS A DISASTER! We laugh about that about every year on the boys birthdays! (They are now 32 and 33!) Thanks for the crafting ideas tonight and for the fun memory! God Bless

Great job! I do wish Pinterest had been around when my girls were little! I use to create so many hand made cakes and things for them and there classes when they were little. I still love doing diy's but don't do as many as I use to. Now I make mostly Stampin' Up! cards as I am a new DEMONSTRATOR just started a year ago and trying to get my business up off the ground. But I will still do some Dollar Tree DIY projects when I can like Fall is here and I am ready to do something for Fall even though everyone has been doing them for months I like to wait till about now. Isn't it funny all little girls seem to like Unicorns and purple or pink colors. I have two little granddaughters (sisters) I made them themed pillow cases for Christmas and both were Unicorns & Now little boys love Paw Patrol. I love what you did with the beads, and that you sealed the glitter, and I love the double use you could use for utensil and later crayons, pencils and such. So Clever. The 3tiered plates and cake plate were so precious. I would have loved to see your daughters face when she saw what you had made for her. She is a very lucky Princess.

Except none of them live near me. The pillow case idea came from this you tube ua-cam.com/video/C7yrDQ7G9so/v-deo.html. I used unicorn fabric for the girls and mindcraft? for the10yr old grandson and Paw patrol fabric for the 3 youngest. It was so fun to do. It is called french seams which sounds fancy but it is only straight stitching and very easy. The kids loved them now they each have their own pillowcase. I don't do you tube (I only watch) I have learned so much and I am 79 (80 in april) Oh yeah and I talk too much.

You can make the ice cream cones taller by making additional mini cupcakes. Ice the top of the caked cone and sit the mini cupcake upside down on top. Icing as you want. Everything was awesome. Had to be a great party.

Quick Tip: use a small flat head screw driver to pry up the staples. The screwdriver will work like a staple Remover. That easy. But the crewdriver needs to be small so the flat plart will be thin.

The plates for the light pink one came from Michaels. They were $2 and then I used a 40% off coupon. The plate for the dark pink one came from Walmart. It was $.50. Try a staple remover to remove the staples in the dt canvas

You can ball up little aluminum foil balls and put on either side of your cones for stability. :)

Where did the light pink plates come from?
I got one of the platters came from dollar tree and the light pink ones came from Michaels. They were different colors and I spray painted them the pink colors. 🦄 💖 thanks for watching! 😊
How many coats did you use on the plates ?
It’s been over a year since I made this but I believe I needed 2 coats and then a little extra under the bottoms because I wanted the coverage to be super even 🙂 thanks for watching!

Did she say where she got the plates?
Hi! I got the plate for the dark pink try at Walmart for $.50. The light pink plates came from Michaels, I believe they were $2 each and I used a 40% off coupon which brought it down to almost dollar tree coupons. Hope that helps! Happy crafting 💜
