Lucy and Reneé surprise the fans with a reunion in New Zealand!
In the middle of the pandemic, Lucy managed to take Reneé down NZ for a guest appearance in her series "My Life is Murder". It's their first time acting opposite each other since Xena Warrior Princess, if you don't count a comic 1 minute cameo on the movie "Bitch Slap" back in 2007.

It absolutely was a love letter to the fans and I absolutely got emotional. Love these two so much. It’s so great to hear how good of a time they had working together again. Meeting them at cons these last few years has been a highlight of my life.
They can put a crap show together, their unique chemistry would still make it a most enjoyable thing to watch. They're just something else together, something I cannot really put my finger on, it's like magic
I cannot begin to tell anyone how happy this reunion makes me honestly. I still pray I get to see a Xena series and/or movie before I die.

I agree; just one thing, if there is a Xena series or movie and they are not involved in it someway, I would , with reluctance, pass on it!
The only way to be happy....purchase the DVD box set. You will be in Heaven!!!

Day 1 Xena fan here! Its so crazy after all these years. Their bond till this day is still strong. They truly are SoulMates not in sexual way, obviously. It brings me full circle watching this.

I am not an expert but I am a fan that is on the outside looking in and I can see the magical making of something that will be successful because I have a point of view that Lucy lawless cannot see. I fully believe if the writers are careful and the directors are careful they can pull this one off again like the last successful series that they made together but, I do insist that you are going to have to be very careful on how you handle it because of the fact the same fans that made the first series successful can make this series successful. And that means money for everybody.

Ha ha I have to laugh when Lucy said "I don't like peanuts" that's an obvious dig at her former co star Kevin Sorbo aka Hercules. He's a right wing nut who said the U.S. insurrectionest were really antifa dressed up as tRump supporters. She responded "oh no peanut they are your flying monkeys you wind up like toys to do as you want!" Love it. Guess there won't be any Xena /Hercules reunion. Good!
And Renee saying “it’s great for the memory” as if saying at least Hercules gave us Xena to look back on 😂

Make-up on this series is not great.
Make up problems but maybe was intentional for her character that was quite "extra".
Whichever gay did Renee's hair+makeup here needs to be fired and their license revoked
