Don't forget to reset the pressure on the gate on the back
There are different versions of the Rolleikin for 2.8 and 3.5 cameras, make sure to get the right one. There is also an older version with a back to replace the normal one (newer cameras have already an adjustable pressureplate for 35mm film -- if yours hasn't, you need this old version of Rolleikin). It is also a good idea to install the included masks for the viewfinder, so you can see your composition in the viewfinder.
Thanks so much! I just got my Rollei so thought would try the 35mm adapter! :)
Thank you for the video.
I was searching for this video a long time ago. Thank you so much .🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
well explained n great video thank you 😊
Yes! Very useful; well explained.
Thank you so much 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
How many shots can be taken with 36 sheets of 35mm film when the adapter is attached?
Very Good Movie....!!!
Does this allow you to take 35mm panoramic images?
Don't forget to change the film pressure plate (inside the camera) into the right position for 35mm film instead of 6x6 films!!
is this exist for Baby Rolleiflex ?
Thanks for sharing this great content!
Hi
Could you help me with my problem ?
i bought a Rolleicord Model 2 from 1938 but with a 35 adapter in the screen how can i remove it ?
Thanks !!!
What if I don't use the backer? Would it shoot on the sprockets? Would it work?
I don't think it's gonna work.
Thank you for the video. Very useful. Do you know if the Rolleikin kit is compatible to all Rolleifex or just a few specific models? I am still researching on which Rolleiflex to buy; definitely not the 2.8F as I am not a collector.
I believe so. But the film knob is probably different on other model. You may be lucky to find one with film knob already installed on the camera. you just need to buy a kit
Why would anyone buy a Rolleiflex 6x6 camera and shoot 35mm in it? Insane! Get a Rollei 35s for that. Or even a Nikon FE with a good 50mm lens if you want to restrict yourself to just one focal length. The Rolleikin is such a joke, if you think about it.
I see your point. I think back in the day, having both rolleiflex and rollei 35 is an expensive investment not everyone can afford. So rolleikin is the cheap alternative for 35mm solutions for rolleiflex.
It could be a good backup or emergency sollution if you’re travelling with only one camera. Imagine running out of film with the only possibility of buying 35mm stock in a local shop.
The 80mm 2.8 Planar Zeiss is a legendary lens and Rollei made it for 35mm Rollei RF in LTM along with 40mm 2.8. That Rollei Planar m39 mount 80mm lens cost $4000-5000 in 2023, so shooting 35mm with 6x6 camera is a cheap option. The other option is to modify your 6x6 Planar Zeiss 80mm lens into Leica mount by MS Optics but that also cost $1000's plus makes your 6x6 a piece of junk. Rolleikin costs about $100 and you have a possibility to shoot Planar 80mm lens. The comparable 80mm lens also costs at least $1000. You are talking using small 35mm cameras and Nikon 50mm and Rollei 40mm lenses not the 80mm focal length and unmatched sharpness.
