I'm not personally one for these simplified FM/PM products, since I like full control over the engine, custom algorithms, etc. But I really appreciate their existence to help bring these cool timbres to more people in more accessible ways :) and I personally think you did a better job with these macro knobs than the Digitone! I know there's more and more FM/PM Eurorack products lately, but I think this stands-out among a lot of them. Especially when a few of them rely on having screens, which isn't really the Eurorack style (as far as I'm concerned, anyway - I know some people love putting whole trackers in their racks). This does a great job of urging the user to be guided by their ear.
I foresee a great percussion synth here. Next to my 12 channels of almost only percussion I can't say this is the voice I need, but it's definitely the voice I want 😅
I laughed loud enough for my neighbor to hear me through our apartments’ wall when I was encouraged to “SMASH THAT BELL” 🔔*dong*🛎️. NOISE ENGIE keeping it cute💕😘 on this side, we so very thankful for what you do & how you do it
Thank you for the suggestion! We'll take that into consideration. In the meantime, here's a modulargrid of this demo case: www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/2388715
Thanks, now I want tacos. Bastards. In all seriousness, I need to shuffle a few things around, but an Alia module is at the top of my short list. Question: in a future iteration, would you consider implementing a forward-facing USB port for firmware swaps without having to pull the module? (Yes, I realize the front panel is already pretty crowded.)
Thanks for the suggestion. Since the user also has to have access the two buttons on the back of the module for a proper firmware install, that would make it more of a challenge. But we never rule things out!
@@NoiseEngineering Hey, I just pulled the trigger on an order from Detroit Modular - got Manis Iteritas Alia, and Befaco Muxlicer & Mex coming! I'll probably hit y'all up for faceplates pretty soon.) I'm curious to see what happens when I push it into dark, evolving drones and gritty soundscapes...
