Watch the Full Edit: • Marcus Kleveland skied... Marcus Kleveland... you're a mad one for this one. Absolutley killing it on the skis, so gosh darn toasty God bless buddy
He may be a pro snowboarder but he obviously skis a fair bit, the sports aren't so similar to just start hucking big tricks on your second day. Having the confidence to go huge helps a lot tho, and he obviously has that in spades
@@fredrikschanche6208 Why would he mean it that way? He probably means that he doesn’t know how to stop after a trick not he doesn’t know how to stop on his back, that would make no sense.
@@JetPlays1 you can see earlier in the video that stopping, even from switch is no problem, i think i said it because he fell and is used to put both his feet down to make the board grip the snow, thats not possible on Skis…
I also ski and snowboard, and know that this is impossible to do if you are not skiing regulary. Transition from ski to board is easier, but from board to skiis... Watch other snowboarder try skiing. The way this guy carv, and ski from behind , than transition to front, that cant be done evin after few years of skiing , this one day trip is ridiculous
@@lukapapan5563 I wasn't bad at skiis when I was younger, fell in love with snowboard later and tried to ski again, my skiis crossed at the first turn.
@@LaChips806 Of course, evin im skiing 20+ years, when i got on snow for the first few days of winter im not comfortable. I can't skii backwards fast or do tricks, at first. And this tricks are learned, whole set on exercise to land backwards from jump. It is just so funny for me that people in comments think that this is posible in any scenario...
@@lukapapan5563 Can confirm. I've been snowboarding almost 30 years and just started skiing this year. 8 days and a lesson from a pro and I'm about ready to start hitting easy blacks. Definitely not gonna be riding switch into jumps in the park, haha! If you click on the full edit link in the description it sounds clear he's skied before (pretty obvious) but not in a while. Which is still SUPER impressive. But that's why he's a pro.
bro everything you were saying was so new to me - feels like a different language. I'm just a reg boarder.. but your commentary killed it. It was like i was watching a famous tv commentary.. but like the best ever. So def keep it up -youre going to be big
It really does translate. Took me 2 days total to learn 270s out both ways and a front swap plus little rotations on jumps. I mean sure they're kinda little sketchy but I was starting to get kinda consistent and comfy with the skiis until the season ended. Switch riding is still kinda tricky tho
In Norway it's common to go cross-country skiing as a kid. I'd say, at least for the time I grew up (born in 96), more than half of the kids in my area had this experience. It's not quite the same but it gives you a feel for what it's like to have skis on your feet. I dunno how much the lad had been doing this but wouldn't surprise me if the transition went smoothly, he's obviously super talented
He knows how to take off the kicker... The hardest stuff in ski acrobatics is not to land, but to take off the kicker in a very good way, then the landing becomes a pleasure.
i mean, you say that snowboarding and skiing are so different on rails, but you'd be surprised with how much it helps, i mean i am a mountain biker and i was able to do blacks in the alps and blue/red slopestyle lines in just 2-3 days, even though the foot position, hands, weight distribution, the process of jumping, contact points etc are so different, for example, i was parallel skiing in about 30 min. i will say that i did nothing well or great, for example, i did a lot of starfishes when jumping, put my skis at 90 degrees every time i wanted to slow down even a little, and I'm pretty sure i never managed to keep my sticks close together, never the less, i did it all, with out any spills (the first few times), and the slopestyle stuff i did better than my dad who has been skiing for over 30 years. just being good with something strapped to your feet, whether that is moto, surfing, skateboarding, MTB, BMX, or even road biking, will help a lot with learning to ski, especially cornering. so i can imagine that knowing how it feels to go from snow to metal makes it 10x easier to do it on skis
I think he landed his first double cork on skis but if I’m wrong I know he skied a lot in his youth because he gave up on snowboarding at the age of 3 and then started snowboarding again but kept on skiing little bits here and there.
Dude I honestly have no fucking idea what you’re saying, but seeing how happy you are commentating on something that you obviously fuck with so much makes me happy as fuck. Thanks for that.
"you could put this guy in a skiing slopestyle competition and he could podium"... Come on ! I mean I'm a skier and he's way better than I'll ever be but that's a bit much And that was even before his first double lmao Love the video though, keep them coming !
Can someone please explain at 4:10 how or why it’s considered a double cork 1260? To the beginner in the park, it just looks like a flat 1260 to me and I don’t see the flip. No hate just genuinely curios and trying to learn
Its because of the axis of his body. When you look at his head it is not directly over his shoulders like you'd do standing up or a normal three. It slightly forward causing the rotation to be corked, if you notice how his head is especially around the 2nd and 3rd rotation is slightly forward basically facing the ground.
I'm honored you even took your time to do this! Thnx bud, you are a legend!
Heyyyyyy, Marcus!
Yoo! Thanks so much buddy, stoked to see what you can throw on a sitski
Question ski or snowboard
1. Tree runs?
2. Snorkel days?
3. Resort laps?
4. Street?
Did you ride skis prior to this?
you are a legend sir
Was kind of expecting him to struggle, and I have never been so wrong in my entire life
I didnt expect you here something rad im a big fan xd

There has to be a petition to get you commentating at the X-Games
Agreed 100%
100% coming from a snowboarder . That’s saying something lol never skied in my life but been subbed and watching his vids for a while
@@jayydz5833 I'm a Snowboarder myself 🤙🏻
Absolutely 100% 4 show
Intro: "He is good at Snowboarding"

You must be one of those guys who thinks the skier's code is either a joke or a friendly suggestion.
As someone who both skis and snowbards the level of skill this man has on both is not ok

I take pride in doing both also but my level is WAY lower than this dude.
"He's swerving on his skis like Gordon Ramsey sears his steaks mannnnn"
poetry
The fact that he didn’t react to the ending “I don’t how to stop” is really a tragedy
"SOMEBODY SPONSOR THIS MAN!" *him wearing a redbull helmet*
Now ask him what's more fun in a zoom interview
You could literally throw this guy on a ringette stick and he could still toss a treflip
markus kleveland started out a skier and switched there's other vids of him skiing and it's still incredible
I don’t think anyone thought it was his first day, but to be this good at skiing when you’re one of the best snowboarders is pretty insane
I would say the fact that he's one of the best snowboarders would imply he would be a really good skier... he has amazing strength, reflexes, etc...
Love your vids homie just caught on this year big fan 🙏 love the energy you put out into the world, blessings!!
IM SO GLAD YOU DID A REACTION TO THIS HAHAH I WAS WAITING
if i could go my entire life without hearing another name for ski tricks ill die happy

“A stiff twigggggggggg” got me laughing a bit
Dude obviously has some experience on skis. I'm guessing he started on skis and transitioned to board. No matter what, he is insanely talented.
Facts. No way that was his first time.
he grew up with a mountain in walking distance so im guessing as a kid he was just on the mountain everyday probably doing both

First time seeing your vids man is mad funny 👍
This just goes to show that snow is the best thing ever.
There’s a saying that “Norwegians are born with skis” .. this is the proof 😜
damn that was a sick critical misty rainbow moose knuckle rodeo rotation
lmao the names are hectic

Obviously he's a skier at heart
"Someone sponsor this kid", I think one energy drink giant already called dibs on that!
Then there's Matej who can triple on snowboard lol
He’s just insane
when riders republic comes out this man is going to take over youtube
I'm not going to lie when I watched this for my first time I thought he was actually a pro skier!
Skiers going to snowboarding never look this goood.... mmmm says it all right there!
*Someone sponsor this man*
*he probably has over 100 sponsors*
Now you gotta do this but opposite with matej
"He is a good snowboarder" bro he is the World champion😂😂😩
Randomly ran across this page, i can hear this guy talk for days lmao
"somebody sponsor him" redbull: U serious
Have a look at Emiliano Lauzi, Pro Snowboarder and great skier from Italy
Can we get this guy to announce the XGames? I think he needs a career bump lol.
I watched marcus kleveland vid when he posted it. I was so surprised
He said in the vid that he used to ski alot
Who here doesn’t even know what he’s even saying your just here to watch the video. Lol 😂
And you will stay and you will learn and you will enjoy still as much if not more. Amazing vibe
Where did u get that sweatshirt?

😮💨 i totally thought from that title it was goddamn Johnathan bunkhouse clickbait of him trying to ski
I would love to actually see a pro snowboard who never tried skiing before
I stopped snowboarding and started skiing
Some dudes are just naturals
What’s the song in the beginning?
Yes he is good at snowboarding
Guy can tricks guy can't stop

Isnt it more forgiving 2 go big with stiff skis? They kinda push u u centered even doe u land nose or tail heavy?
he said I have no clue how to stop after trying to do a trick some of us will never be able to even dk
Nick it’s safe to say he’s skied before.
i now hes good on a snowboard but skis...
this kid is good
The commentary is as good as the skiing lol
what are his skis called ?
would be insane if he went all in at skiing and win snowboard x game and ski xD
Going from snowboarding to skiing gives you a massive advantage. It's so much easier to pick up every aspect of it which is dope.
Man can throw doubles but he still doesn't know how to stop properly on twigs. What a guy
4:59 bro just collapsed there.
but have u seen matej snowboard? or birk ruud snowboard. there wild on snowboard
I don't understand ant of the things he says but. I love it

- Yes.
Now give him some cross county skis
Now you could compare it to Matej Svancer snb video from Hochkönig! It's absolutely insane too!
Does anyone else just think it sounds like he is making up random names for everything? LOL
why it end so quickly? and you didnt say gooodbye or somethin
Noti gang is the best and remember that the good lord loves you
