- In the interest of keeping people's spirits up during our psy party drought here's some footage of summer on the river...
Btw I did figure out the logic of the warning buoys - eventually.
1. When heading upstream keep the red buoys to port and green to starboard ( correctly correllating to the intetnational navigation light colours )
2. When heading downstream the opposite applies.

Ahoy Cap'n - nice handbrake turn there : D
:)
Beautiful place! Enjoy!!!
Thanks, I did :)
Relaxing stuff! :)
Glad you enjoyed
Thank Christ mate, I'm here with my dispraxic dyslexic brain leaking out my ears. Thanks man I've been looking all day as I'm doing this stretch this weekend. Childhood teddy is in a backpack by the door just in case!
:) Good luck
Very relaxing videos to watch, thanks :)
You're welcome!
Love these vids!
Btw: It's more like the Redbull extreme narrow boat races with all those bollards! lol!
I'm glad you find them entertaining!
Sorry (in advance) Billy the colours of the 'pylons' are actually pretty consistent, heading upstream leave the green ones to starboard (or you might run aground;) and the red ones to port (there is always one - right?). Beautiful vlog man and I don't covet your boat at all, she's a beauty.
There's no need to apologise especially when you're correct! I did figure it just after I said that in the vid - as I mentioned in the video description. I then looked up the nav rules for rivers which are: 1. When heading *upstream* keep the red buoys to port and green buoys to starboard (as per the international navigation light colours )
2. When heading *downstream* the opposite applies.
I really love your boat related content Billy :D Super interesting. Since when do you have that boat?
Good! I'm happy if I can do something to keep the troops entertained during this miserable time. I've been living aboard for 20 months now
@@BillyCosmosis It`s so cool that you are living your dream.
Can you park the boat any place?
Yes and no. Unlike the canals, the river Thames is more restricted. If you want to go ashore or use shops or facilities, there are designated mooring areas. If you don't need to go ashore then you can do as I did several times: find a nice quiet spot and tie the bow line onto an overhanging tree branch.
