I never think to reduce that small to make a cane, and I definitely have to remember that I don't always need to back fill with translucent.

To make the two petal canes I use in that video? I don't have a tutorial but it is two blends - one of teal and one of purple. I cut each blend into 5 pieces. One petal was 3 strips teal, 2 of purple. The other was 3 of purple and 2 of teal.
I'll see if I took a couple pictures for my own notes and I can make a post about it.
