It would have been nice for you to tell them what variety they liked at the end for the video reveal, that way I wouldn't have had to go back and rewatch just FYI
Thank you as always Charles for providing great gardening content. I love that you provide so many taste test videos for more context before investing so much time into a fruit bearing tree.
You inspired me to do my own taste and video with Wonderful, Parfianka, Desertnyi, Erin and an unknown sweet. Glad I did! Side by side you really get to taste what makes each variety unique.
Always happy to inspire others! THANK YOU!! Also, just subscribed to your channel- you’ve got a ton of helpful & educational fruit tree care lessons! Thanks again, Charles 🌱👍
I got those two varieties. Glad I made a good choice. Between the pomegranates, the figs, the grape vines and the mulberries I'm really running out of space. 😅
I personally love wen a fruit variety doesn’t taste like the usual expected variety the weird completely different tasting variety of all fruits is what I collect personally
So the conclusion is everyone liked Desertnyi? But what is absolute favorite? I have a wonderful fruiting first time this year, and a plantation sweet i just planted in spring is flowering, and Parfianka and a Desertnyi waiting to be put in the ground. My other question is which is the best sweet ? Eversweet , utah sweet, plantation sweet, A . C. sweet i know there is another one . 😊
can anyone please sell me seeds of these different varieties or tell me a goo website i can order them as they legal to import the seeds to my country thanks
Hi , I wanted to plant 3 pomegranate trees in zone 6-B,NJ Parfianka ,wonderful , Salavaski , do you think they will grow I I wrapped their trunk with burlap in the winter ?
@@Jo-YuriLover The Russian red pomegranate tree can thrive down to 0 degrees F (-18C) and is a great option for tropical fruit growers in the northern United States.
@@Jo-YuriLover I think Salavaski is a good one for colder zones. Parfianka and wonderful are marginal for your climate. Maybe OK with the right microclimate and protection.... but good luck.
'Syunt' is supposed to have soft seeds, some soft seeded pomegranates have a crunchy yet delicate shell, the delicate shells are the only real hardness to the seeds. This is just a guess since I have not tried 'Syunt' yet.
Wonderful pomegranate variety being so widely planted is not a positive characteristic. People want varieties that have a much more rich flavor than wonderful so encourage other varieties because biodiversity in varieties is very important

Agreed that the format with no summary really detracts from the video.
The comments are the best part of this post.

Thank you SO MUCH for that compliment Odette! That’s the goal & I’m glad you found this lesson helpful!

Desertnyi are excellent pomegranates! For me they come 2 months before Parfianka and extend my pomegranate season to 4 months.

What a wonderful collection!@cristhianzerimar
@@growyourownavocados That's awesome. I'm short on space but if I arrange properly I might try to squeeze in a sweet variety.

Agreed
I appreciate you guys doing this. This was very helpful.

November 2022 Pomegranate Sale @ ivorganics.com/ *while supplies last
Dang missed it..
I have been looking for two now maybe 3 trees, Desertnyi, Eve and now Arianna
I have a pomegranate tree but I don't know the variety, someone brought it from Italy, it has big and tasty fruits .
Probably Dente di Caballo, very popular there.
How does it compare to parfianka?
Cool a italian pomegranate 🇮🇹

Hi , I wanted to plant 3 pomegranate trees in zone

Salavaski , do you think they will grow I I wrapped their trunk with burlap in the winter ?
In that cold zone, you’d want to grow Russian Pomegranate. I’m in Missouri zone 6b and have successfully grown in ground with little or no protection.

You have similar taste buds to Gary from Laguna who rates Ariana better than Parfianka. Thank you for vid!
Great video! Very insightful.

title says it include "Angel Red" but not found in the video.😧
You missed it: #0 at 14:35. It got some votes in the Favorites at the end, too.

I have a Utah sweet and I prefer this over the store ones and over parfianka. Parfianka is too tart for my taste.
Is the Utah sweet the same as the a.c. sweet?
Love❤
