I have a doubt sir When we substitute the values from question to mirror formula in u and v we use sign convention in other words we use coordinates rather than distance Now in this question should I use coordinates or the distances Plz clarify my doubt Plz reply I'm waiting Tq for this video 🙏
We'll have to use sign conventions, yes . If you want to understand why we use it twice(i.e., once while deriving the equation and for the second time when solving problems), there's a video by Khan Academy that explains the exact same thing as well:)
There seems to be a minor fault in the reasoning. What you claim to be a general formula is obtained by applying the sign convention (taking u to be negative) and then when you derive the lensmakers formula you substitute the virtual object distance ( which is on the positive side according to your sign convention) without changing the sign. I'm sorry if I'm not clear enough!!
@@vishalsaxena2355 Sign conventions convert a general formula to a specific formula and vice versa. For example, when solving a numerical, we want a formula specific to that particular numerical (for example, convex lens). So we take our formula (which is a general formula) and apply signs while substituting. Another example is while deriving things. When you derive a formula (like in this video) you derive for a specific case (like convex surface and the object being in the rare medium giving real images - like in this video). Again to convert this specific formula to general formula we apply sign convention. Hope this helps :). Please feel free to ask more doubts
Truth to be told ,this explanation is so much easier than how it was explained in class.
You made it so easier for me to understand .Thanks !
Yes 4 saal baad bhi 🙃
This person makes thing's so easy !
Thank you sir
Your explanations was so amazing and it helped me a lot to study easier and I hope u make many more videos like this
this is sooo easier than any other thing a saw thank you soo much !
amazing video. watching all the way from RSA. thank you sir. helped a lot!
you are my fav!! u explain with such simplicity (n voice modulation, lol) its the BESTTT
Sir ur teaching is awesome
Could do the derivation after hearing it once 🍾🍾 thank you ❤
Amazing explanation. Thanks a lot😀
simply superb!!
i am seriously your great fan...........thankxxxxx
Nice. Boht mast tareeke se samjhaya
You explaination is good to understand tq sir
Very clear!
Thank you so much sir you made too much easy this concept for us 😃🙏
Superb bro 👌👍 I have become your fan
Deo Glorias. Thanks a billion sir.....
What a great explanation
1:12 there is no bending of light..still it is considered refraction because light travelled from one medium to the other..
thanks for posting this!
should we use Radian or degree as unit when calculating this?
If you make an approximation SIN(i) = i, i should be in radians.
LOVE FROM INDIA❤
In which app you do this
Thanks for the wonderful explanation
Very nice I understood v clearly 😀😀😀😄👍👍👍👍👍👍
refraction at single curved reflecting surface
Where I can get this
Thank you so much ...
So helpful for ma...studies ...
Well explained sir !
Which software are you using.. pleas reply
Thank you very much for Crystal clear explanation
This was so helpful, tysm!!!
This is the best
a big thank you sir
while making the formula we use the sign convention and put u as -u. But when we attempt numerical, we again put u as -u. Why is it so?
It made me easy😎😬
thank you so much .....that was super useful
Thx very much bro ...
Very nice video
Please Comple whole class 12 cbse syllabus as fast as possible
Very helpful
Thank you so much
Thanks sir...super explanation
Nice explaing
Why u took only tangent not done or consine
Thank u so much! ♡
Masterpiece sir
Thanks
I have a doubt sir

Plz clarify my doubt
Plz reply
I'm waiting
Tq for this video 🙏
Yes, we still have to follow the sign convention.

So is your doubt for this video or for the video on lens makers?
@@KhanAcademyIndiaEnglish Both, actually. I have doubts regarding the sign convention actually.
@@KhanAcademyIndiaEnglish I too have doubt regarding this that when to use sign convention and when not.
@@KhanAcademyIndiaEnglish plz clear my doubt

really nice
Tq sir ....
Thanks a lot
Thnx
Superbbbbb sir tq
Thank you
👌👌
Nice
👍
Can you please please please also upload videos of last chapter of class 12 India, i.e. Communication System
So this means that it would give approximate value of location of image, while mirror formula gives exact location?
Nope bro it all depend on how much denser it is.
Sir,why you donot gave Hindi or Bangla versions? From Bangladesh.
Physics is full of approximation and assumptions..😂
😢
One suggestion: Stop the fake accent maybe
😂😂😠😠😠
Why is he trying to imitate Mr. Khan's voice? That's just not alright.
This is the Khan academy sir
