Not easy but yes: Heat with 140c or until you can detach the ir sensor from the lens module, don’t touch the sensor be very careful. Remember the orientation of the sensor (helps later when putting the flex back). Prepare replacement ir lens and add glue to the four corners then join the sensor and lens in correct orientation. Press firmly and reattach ir flex to pads

if I replace the front facing camera ONLY! (not the assembly just the camera itself) will Face ID still work?
No
yes face id will still work if just changing the front camera but not the dot projector and infrared camera

Note you should heat it from the back of the camera as shown in the video when removing flex cable.
