- Multiple myeloma is a type of cancer that affects a type of white blood cell called plasma cell. It is a relatively uncommon cancer and the lifetime risk of getting multiple myeloma is 1 in 132 in the United States.
I’m 48 and a white female. Learned I have this rare cancer after I hurt my leg hiking. Went to dr after it hurt few months and was shocked to be told I had cancer. I was n the best shape of my life I thought. Anyone can get this. If u have bone pain that doesn’t go away insist on getting checked with x ray

@@Prachi..75 first x ray. They saw something then sent me for MRI. This then biopsy of the spot they saw . Hope u r ok xoxo
my dad was diagnosed when his kidneys failed. he died 10 months and one week later. many docs saw him and nobody caught it.

My wonderful mother saw à lot of doctor and no one put the correct diagnostics until it was late

Got me worried now as I have back pain but I expect it's muscular but I have a rare T Cell Lymphoma too called Mycosis Fungoides which has had advanced to stage 2b, the beginning of the aggressive malignancy,by discovery.The Mycosis Fungoides very nearly cost me my life leading to an amputation and it's reported that those with it are much more likely to develop another,or more, blood cancers.
