Let's talk about Cat. Chris mentioned this the other day-something isn’t right. What do we actually know about her? I think she’s a chameleon. Did you notice any emotion or connection from her towards her parents? She was dismissive and cold, especially towards her Dad, and gave almost nothing to her mum. She even told her Dad to leave her alone, when he tried to comfort her. The way she whispered to Freddie-that’s the real Cat: cold, calculated, and likely manipulative and that's what he would have got any time she didn't get her way. Freddie is starting to see it too; he said she’s just portraying the kind of girl she thinks he wants. I’m really glad he saw it, as most wouldn’t. I think instead of being on the show, she needs therapy because she isn't good for herself, let alone anybody else.

9:16 I agree Blair. I am empathetic to Catherine’s situation, I can’t imagine being adopted and having to live with that knowledge. However, she was adopted at a very young age and seems to be loved by her family. If those scars are upsetting her so much that she takes it out in hostility towards others, she needs to go to therapy to deal with those issues. Childhood wounds are real but she needs to make the effort to reckon with them herself, no one can “fix” her or give her enough reassurance to ever fill the sinkhole she has inside her. A loving relationship can help but Freddie seems to have been as nice as he can to her and she still nitpicks every little issue and bringing up issues she knew would turn her.

THANK YOU 🙌 I am adopted and I really hated this whole narrative of "Catherine is mean because she's damaged from being adopted" Look- as an adopted child, there will always be a part of you that will feel abandoned no matter what, BUT it then depends on what kind of up bringing you have from there. It looks like she has parents who love the crap out of her. Some people have a terrible experience with their parents and then feel even more alone. Personally, being adopted and unfortunatley, not having the best experience afterwards made me very empathetic to how someone else feels due to my actions, because I was made very aware at a young age that people have the power to really hurt you and I never wanted to make anyone feel hurt by me. A lot of adopted people I know are extremely considerate of other peoples feelings (similar to my perspective) so this whole narrative was very annoying to watch.

100% with Blair. She was picked. Read adoption stories. Especially black kids, disabled kids, imperfect kids. She was picked at 11weeks old. Probably everybody wanted her. She needs to stfu. Some kids get traumatized from dressed, paraded and then rejected over and over. Some are fostered and that go how it go. She needs to actually try gratitude.
5:08 maybe Nicole’s dad travels for work or has serious commitments he agreed to before Nicole started this process. Benaiah’s family is not there as well so maybe they can have a renewal or their own wedding down the line.

Freddie deserves better, catherine is insufferable
Catherine should use this opportunity not just to talk about her feelings around adoption, but maybe by launching a platform from which to start a dialogue around adoptees their bio birth parents and the family who raised them. It’s not always such a cut and dry experience.
Glad Freddie is free, and I hope Catherine finds piece.
I would much rather Catherine spend her time with a counselor (individual and/or family) unpacking why "I was adopted" is the only answer for any negative emotion or behavior, as well as what the family has told themselves and the dynamic they've established around her being their chosen girl while she seems to feel (or tells us she feels) about abandonment.
Can you guys please try find a way to watch MAFS South Africa? It's so bomb and I'd love to hear your views on the couples and their situations😂
