I love seeing them walk like this.. so much personality and the clothes show better.. and love that the photographers are along the runway.. less about the front row and more about the show
It was a great surprise when I first watched and realized, after that interesting opening, that the show was 90's inspired. The small runway, with photographers near, almost bending over, no celebrity or guests showing, and the models being playful! Well, some of them have no sex appeal at all, but after a decade of training to be robotic and emotionless, we can understand why they are this mechanical, maybe a little bit uncomfortable with trying to be sassy... After all, It's a great show. And I hope we see more of this in Chanel! Grand Palais is great for big sceneries and stages, but we can see more the clothes in this angle!
Honestly this is probably her best Chanel collection she’s done since taking over. Very streamlined and clean, feminine and sophisticated. The clunkers and worst pieces were those blue grey looks. They looked super blah and the color was so dowdy
I liked the grey and blue collection.
Her designs are most probably catered for the mid 40s. Even the models in their 20s looked so old here

I hope they go back to this runway staging. The models came to life with personality and pizazz instead of looking like a hanger or robots.
Maybe it's to stop people from fanaticism over models and distractions away from the clothes, designs and colors.
It’s about the clothes, NOT the models.

They do the runway like chanel in 90s but the models nowaday look like a teenage to compare with supermodel 90s
And most of them don't have the spark as 80s and 90s models. Their turns aren't even as good except for a few like Jade Nguyen and I love the part when Anok Yai removed her coat.

Gorgeous collection! Theme and vibe enchanting. Addressing the remarks about the clumsiness of the models, I got the distinct impression that they were instructed to vie for the attention of the photographers (current cultural structures.) The start of the show is very Victoria's Secret. And if you will notice the music, and the fact that multiple times the models kind of 'ego crashed' with the next 'girl up...' As the show progresses, the models become more 'dressed' and 'status professional.' By the end, with that amazing silk collection, the women had evolved into a powerful, self-possessed, confident, forces of nature. I say BRAVO!
I think it was all intentional to show the progressive evolution and refinement 🌞
As always, Chanel never disappoints, but is it just me or does it seem like more than one model was trying to crash or knock other models down? 🤔🤔 Maybe the runway was too small ...
I bet they are mimicking Claudia's Schiffer walk at 90's . She was really rude with her walking towards other models on the runway . Like she was the only one there. 😏

Can’t blame them looked unnatural because they are not used to walking like that. Models in 90s did twirl, turn, double turn, swing, walk in-pairs, etc in every season, every runway until mid 1990s.
u gotta realize those models are used to being serious faced in a lot of their shows. this was like a time machine to the 90’s! i loved it so much and honestly think they nailed the vibe

As I understood it was an attempt to recreate 90' style. Telling truly it failed. In my opinion. It looked asolutely messy. That crowd that was gathering at the end of the runway couple of times, some girls seemed didn't know how to pose, they almost bumped into each other after posing, one of the models ended up walking into different dirrection, it looked like they were fighting for a posing spot at the end of the runway. So, what was it actually? Sorry, but it really looked cheap. I'm a bit disappointed.

totally agree! Shocked what kind of young ladies they hire. Do they never look the videos of themselves? Most of them had no attitude, no tension, no expression, no ability to walk properly - simply nothing.

Now while the girls LOOK nothing like the 90s model I’m still so happy to see them actually MODELING, and not walking like robots!!
P.S. they all seem to be stiff because they’re not used to having to actually work the clothes and show them off, so many of them seem very awkward. But this is still a step forward or backwards 🤔.
These skinny girls only need volume, glamour hair not 2000s flat iron hair

I think this us her best yet, finally more feminine which I like. The clothes were beautiful & the models (which help sell the clothes) seemed to be enjoying themselves....great show!

They tried to bring the 80s and 90s back but the girls are missing that magic and energy that the models of that era had
Amazing collection. I am in love with everything. And the show itself is touching for taking us in a time machine journey to the 90s, I almost whipped with nostalgia. The only thing missing were some super models from Back then. Naomi, Carla Bruni, Shalom Harlow and Amber Valletta to say the least should have been part of the cast. That would have been special.
It's so funny that Chanel's main channel actually disabled comments for the main runway show and letting all the focus go to the ambassadors at other video!!! Seriously they just cannot accept the fact that this season's outfit is just shitty... I was laughing so hard at the comments saying this theme was so empowering to them in the Chanel channel, I'm wondering where is the meaning of this show?

Collection? oh, that...sure...but didja' notice...the...babes!...those are some real...beauties...wow!
The catwalk setting is much better not to mention you get to see the clothes and hairstyles with much more detail, but its missing stars. The supermodels are who brought the clothes to life and while this girls are lovely, they don't have IT, you even see the photographers lack of enthusiasm, watch any early 90's runway and pay attention to the photographers and you'll see what I mean.
I like the smiles, but their chaotic walk on the stage distracted me. I was focused on their inability to move right. Somebody was waiting the other to step on the end of the stage for posing. I like when it is perfectly choreographed.
