  • Moissanite stones are VERY popular right now for all the right reasons. My question and concern is, will this be the next CZ stone? My concern for Moissanite is jewelers are trying to compare and compete with diamonds. This is a dead end and usually doesn't end well. Let moissanites be their own thing! Thanks for watching

    As a major diamond seller for the past 7 years, us in the jewelry business have clients for all of these stones. The truth of the matter is buying yourself a natural diamond piece is kind of a “I made it” purchase. It’s justifiable for that reason. You have to make a purchase knowing and with the mindset of, I will never resell this again. Why? Because as a buyer, you will never get your money back. I have natural, cvd/hpht, & moissanite jewelry. I personally prefer the moissanite over everything because they shine just as good if not better than the highest quality diamond, but a fraction of the cost. They never lose there shine or quality and last forever aswell. Be smart people, I have made millions of dollars selling these stones and the truth is, its a scam. Moissanite is the way once you have your “I made it” purchase. Any questions or doubts I can go into depth why I say that. Diamonds come in all kinds of qualities. Its a mess really, if your not educated you will get fucked. Not to mention you buy a expensive piece and never want to wear it and flex because of the risks. Moissanite is a percentage of the cost, more shine and brilliance, and will never cause you anxiety if you lose them. The shine will make everyone think you are wearing the highest quality diamonds, no one in the street is going to ask you, hey let me see your ring and use a jewelers loupe to see if its a real diamond. Wear it with confidence, it is superior in many ways.

    I got around 30K worth of diamond jewelry and maybe 5-6K worth of moissanite. I definitely prefer the moissanite. Love the shine and the price. I can afford diamonds just fine but I like the look of the moissanite way better. Also the threat of getting robbed I’d rather lose a 2K moissanite chain vs a 10K diamond chain.

    Idky diamond lovers bash moissanite. He said comparing the two is a dead end for the moissanite and “sinks the ship” referring to the moissanite bc “moissanite are lower value and diamond replica”. Lemme put y’all on game from a standpoint of someone who doesn’t sell diamonds therefore doesn’t have any reason to be bias for either of em for that matter. A) moissanite are only “lower value” in terms of price not quality cuz of supply and demand. Diamonds are more popular, so they cost more. B) moissanite is in fact not a diamond replica like cz, it is it’s own natural crystal like diamonds are, people just compare the 2 cuz they are naturally similar that’s why the common diamond tester will pass moissanite for diamonds. C) moissanites are actually more rare than diamonds being that their natural origin is meteorites, diamonds naturally come from our planet. D) Moissanite actually has 2x more fire, brilliance, AND scintillation than diamonds meaning moissanite is twice as shinier than diamonds which is why you’ll notice moissanite pieces shine more colors than diamonds do. Don’t listen to diamond sellers that downplay moissanite, their tryna get you to spend more money on something that has more hype, essentially making you a hypebeast w/o you noticing. When they say “moissanite is less than diamond” or “comparing diamond to moissanite degrades moissanite or sinks moissanites ship” just means in terms of price which just means moissanite is less popular and it’s cuz they got y’all on leashes. Moissanite in terms of natural properties, in every way aside from hardness actually, is superior to diamond. So go for what’s smart, not what the sellers aka the ones making the money, tell you to buy cuz they don’t genuinely care for you, they care for the money

    Hey, there are a lot of fish in that pond. Nothing can be in the class of a diamond. Naturally occurring beauty. However, for those of us on a tight budget, Moissenite, is the closest thing to a diamond. They will throw as much fire as a diamond and come in at 9.2 on the hardness scale which is hard enough for EDW. A diamond is at 10. So, for some of us budget conscious guys, its a no brainer.

    Diamonds were going down hard in popularity compared to opals in the late 1800's. The diamond industry then spent millions on a smear campaign telling people opals were bad luck, cursed, just a birth stone, etc, to an already superstitious 1800s community. Why? Because opals are more rare, and diamonds are so common they are used for sand paper and drill bits. The quantity released every year is controlled just to keep value up. If they finally take one on the chin from mossianite it would be about time. Supporting industries that knowingly took advantage of people while smearing competing stones that are genuinely more rare and arguably more beautiful should go away in our information age now that people know the facts.

  • @puctbridge
    @puctbridge 11 місяців тому +3

    Synthetic Moissanite & Synthetic Diamonds use a nearly identical process to be lab-grown, the only differences come in the fact that Moissanite also contains some amount of silicon, while diamonds are primarily carbon. Cubic Zirconia is zirconium oxide, calcium, and magnesium, but they have no naturally occurring counterparts! CZ only exists because humans made it to be a cheaper alternative to real diamonds. Moissanite should be thought of in the same field as Synthetic Diamonds, both are created in labs to be identical in composition to the real naturally occurring counterparts, however, Moissanite naturally occurs at such a low rate that it would be unfeasible to attempt to obtain real moissanite. In fact, to purchase synthetic diamonds over moissanite would be quite foolish, because it cost about the same amount of money to produce both! The market has just brainwashed people into believing the synthetic diamond is incredibly valuable because its a replica of the real deal

    Its all based on personal preferences on what you like. I, myself rock silver and moissanite jewelry. There's nothing wrong with pairing a legit solid gold chain that may contain moissanite stones instead of diamonds, regardless if they're natural or lab grown.
    CZs are a whole different thing tho, its basically only for looks not any investment, but of course neither is moissanite or diamonds as well too. The real investment lies in solid precious metals like silver, gold, and those white metals in the platinum family.
    Moissanite is great if you want something that's "almost to that level of diamonds" in terms of the hardness level, but shines harder and better than diamonds, but hey if you got the extra finances to afford diamonds with gold (or silver/platinum), then by all means go ahead and get it.

    It’s easier to find true higher quality moissanite than it is to find true high quality diamonds. Jewelry companies are fooling people telling them their buying “vs” or “vvs” or “si” diamonds when in reality their something completely different. I personally love jewelry, gold and silver are both precious metals and a great buy. I don’t recommend plated Jewelry, either buy gold or silver. If you want rose gold than get true rose gold, I don’t like plated silver, just stick to plain 925 silver for jewelry. If I have a reliable diamond dealer than yes I like diamonds, but recently I’ve been more into moissanite for the shine alone. Do I think moissanite will pass diamonds or come close in value? Noo, but again their two completely different stones, silly to compare them. I’ve shopped HarlemBling for silver and moissanite and have not had issues. I shop my gold and diamonds with jacoje and a local shop where I live. My jewelry sellers are like my barber, I don’t shop around I stick to what works.

      This is a smooth brain take. First of all, the analogy you're drawing between gold plated/gold verus diamonds/moissanite doesn't work. Moissanite is super durable, just like diamons. Also, diamonds don't go up in value like gold does, on the contrary, diamond values have been going down. Diamonds also have no resale value - they are a huge waste of money. Moissanite isn't particularly valubable but you get the look and durabilty of a diamond without flushing money down the drain like you do with a diamond.
