- Dick Hyman performing live in Madison as part of the Salon Piano Series at Farley's House of Pianos. Performed on a 1914 Mason & Hamlin Model CC1, one of only 17 ever made.
He’s a national treasure.
Incredibly, at the age of 88 years able to play with all his inimitable style and flair, a real master.
One of my favorites!! Flawless technique. He can outplay so many pianist in these, his latter years! Outstanding.
One of the best versions of 'Cherokee' I've ever heard.
a veritable Jazz piano History theme and Variations!
We were there, so good

One of the finest pianos built in America. Very suitable for such a great musician.
Legendary, Dick makes superlative arrangements on the fly, its crazy. Fire-ing on all 20 Cylinders always !! Thanks for posting this :) Excellent Piano as well !
Wonderful. I love the tenths in the left hand.
Love Cherokee ❤

Nice Mason & Hamlin the darker American. What year carbon fiber action? Love mason & Hamlin
He kind of rides the clutch. A habit or is he trying to get the una corda sound coming in and out?
It's the improvisation not how he uses the sustain pedal
