As a student, a really love when teachers use touch (and sadly, few of them do these days) - for adjustments, to intensify, or just to "share the love". As a student teacher, it's great to learn about how to use touch on students - thanks for this lovely video!
I Totally agree Gina. There are plenty ways that touch with good intention can be helpful for the student. From alignment, safety, helping return to the present, deepen and more. I do wish that many responsible teachers will use it with compassion and generosity.
Stellar video Doron. As a teacher, I feel like I could watch this video dozens of times, as relearning adjustments, and reiterating the intention of them is something I am consistently desire as an instructor. Namaste.
Always ask if students are ok with hands-on adjustments! I miss that in the video :) Although the intentions might be good, it could feel very intimidating for a person with or without trauma in the past. And start the adjustment when the student exhales.
In revolved triangle anatomically you SHOULD allow your pelvis to move with the twist. If you force the hips square and rotate there is a good possibility of over stretching the SI JOINT. The Sacrum is not meant to rotate in the pelvis AND SQUARE HIPS puts too much of a rotational force
Love the details on the adjustment thank you ❤
Glad it was helpful! Any other specific pose you want to learn hands on?

.......On the SI JOINTS
Thanks..

the twist is coming from the torso....
Yes. it is the thoracic spine that twists. Hips go towards square, but never force it. Keep the movement organic.
I wish when you switched side we saw the other side of her. 💛
