Some good advice thanks and very well
Put ,
Glad it was useful 👍🏻
Finally a method feeder 😂
Need to try it again when I have more time!
Good vlog using an underestimated and forgotten tactic , had a friend had a phenomenal autumn using the method in the past 👍🏻
It’s definitely worth using 👌🏼
I've got a couple of those big esp method feeders at home in the shed, pretty sure it's did something similar but it's been that long since I used them I can't remember! Now I've seen this it might inspire me to dig them out again. Nice video shaun and you quality pointing once again 😜🤣🤣
Nice to hear I’ve inspired the king 👑
Quality watch as always very undrated for of fishing the method feeder still got mine somewhere maybe have to dabble again onto the next adventure tightlines look forward to the next video 👊 🎣
Something I’m going to use more, especially on higher stocked venues
Well done, neph' ... a fish.. 🐟 ..and a coffee ☕ while watching sunset🌞 (or at least the tale about the coffee n sunset)... what a trip, eh? That lovely filtered radiation is 8 minutes old from 93 million miles away.. 🎣🚙👍🙂.. yet it's here and now..cya.. luv unca s😅
Cheers S. it can stay that far away, I don’t like it hot 🥵
It works well into the warmer months On well stocked water's. I've been using this method for many years on my local water mainly with mini pellets. I also add a small amount of hemp oil directly into the feeder. This method has resulted in me catching a good amount of the lakes largest residents. Keep up the great work 👍
Thank you 🙏
The method feeder is my go to option just in general, may not be optimal as you said but by god is it simple fishing. Like you, I am also an all rounder, I hunt for the Carp but I'll take anything. A bites a bite. Keep up the good work.
It’s the difference between us anglers and a ‘carper’ 😂
I always carry this. It has done me some nice carp over the years. You can also get a nice bed of bait going using it. Well done for bringing it back up. 👏
It’s a great tactic and if you keep recasting to the same area then you could build up some feed for sure 👍🏻
Great video and a good reminder to me to go BACK to this method! Switched away from this method as I started fishing a lake that this is not allowed. So, change of tactics with pva mesh was needed. Now, this year, I am fishing other venues that do allow the feeder. Blanked on Friday on public water, was thinking that I need to go back to the feeder. It has worked before, it will work again! Thanks for the reminder!
Happy to help 👍🏻 be lucky
In winter the method is a great tactic for a bite, might not be for everyone but it's easy and keeps you active , working the swim can be the difference between a freezing cold inactive blank and something 1/2 decent popping up , and like you said Shaun if you can find em' you could catch a lot of em' .
Thanks for taking the time to make and share the video fella .
Steve M
Thanks Steve, it’s something I’m going to use more!
Always a fun watch ❤
Thank you 🙏
Another tip aswell I like to add another layer of pellets or ground bait to the feeder to pinch the hook bait in between the layers so it’s the top layer that falls off as it hits the surface of the water it’s called a double skin 👊🎣
I mentioned that in the video when casting out I thought, double skinned the rod cast at the showing fish!
I have literally been out and bought some of those feeders today! Can't wait to try them.
Awesome! Hope they do the job 👍🏻
I have used them before.there brilliant.as you say for day session can't go wrong.
Fast way of fishing 👍🏻
Good on you for getting out, and it was about the method not the species so well done 👍
Can’t beat getting out, even for two hours!
Always look forward to Tuesday i been on the bank today and blqbked not even a liner so those tips you gave in the video thank you I am going to apply to my fishing and hopefully have one out great video keeps me motivated tight lines 👍
Awesome, good to know it was helpful 👍🏻
I was out on the bank using this technique today! (Blanked 🤣) I’ve had my pb on the method feeder tho I think it works great in the summer to, clip up n use the feeder like a spod lol my mates were gob smacked, big carp don’t recognise a method great vid bro 👊
It’s an underrated big carp tactic for sure! 👌🏼
I do like my Tuesday evenings.... A fishing bloggers video release.😊 I use method feeder on 1 rod and lead clip on other. Always catch more carp on the method feeder rod... Up to 18lb so far.... With a rug made with guru ngauge 12lb line 😊
It’s a great tactic 👍🏻
The good old method feeder one of my go to rigs but I don’t use match feeders I used carp ones much bigger a lot more weight and more bait onit 😎👍🏼
I’ve got some Richworth originals with the plastic wings and zip ties 😂 they did the job in the 90s 👊🏼👍🏻
Great video and advice as always I use bread and sweetcorn on the korda one does well if you find the fish can't wait for the next one
Classic combination 🍞 🌽
Thanks for the reminder I use to use the fox 3 veined method feeder using dinomite black method mix with crushed hemp the trick I found was to in the liquids that go into it but make sure it's ready by making it haft an hour before you use it I did need to add water as the match went on to keep it sticky so it stays on the feeder during the cast
I made the mix up before leaving the house, think it had soaked it up and dried out a bit which is why I didn’t have that stick to it, need to keep it damp next time 👍🏻
Been fishing the method for years and had great results on it them only downside is can't really fish them in water over 8ft as the bait won't be on when it gets to bottom
I’ve used them on big reservoirs for bream in depths of 15ft and still work well, just need to use a denser mix and double skin.
you missed a carp jumping btw lol. awesome vid
What! When I was filming? 😳
Great idea use to use method feeders a long time ago are a great tactic what feeders do you use , great video 👌🏻
Esp carp feeders
@ thanks
I think you will find the method feeder comes from carp fishing and was adopted by match fishermen. We were using the original method feeder for carp fishing over 20 years ago. They just went out of favour with carp fishermen due to limitations of what you could use on them. As opposed to a bag you could fill with hard pellet, crushed boilie, PVA friendly particles, maggot etc. things you can't really load a method feeder up with.
The original method feeder was a carp tactic, but the flatbed feeder was designed for the match market. I used method feeders back in the 90s at linear Fisheries before it all went day ticket, used to catch loads of carp on the margins under arming a method ball out 👌🏼
@@TheFishingBloggers the match fishermen took the idea and improved on it no argument about that, the flatbed and hybrid feeders are fantastic I use them and if you got the fish feeding confidently because of how to load them you can catch fish with no bait on the hook done that on heavily stocked commercials lol. and I remember the big coconut method feeders we packed loads of vitalin on and banged out. as I said the reason pva bags and mesh took over in popularity was simply more options of what you could put in them that wouldn't stick to a method.
@@stevep119 vitalin - shame it got discontinued, used to fill the river in with it and the carp loved it!
@TheFishingBloggers it was fantastic stuff basically meat flavoured maize and you could go to a farm feed store and buy a 20kg bag for like 9 quid back in the day carp loved the stuff
@@stevep119 it was mega 👊🏼👍🏻
Has my secret finally been exposed lol. I dont get time for much fishing nowdays but always have the method rod out for a chance of a pb barbel, tench, bream, carp. My pb perch was on fish pellet method.
It’s a great tactic, I love it for general fishing when targeting bigger tench and bream etc. definitely has a place in carp fishing!
What length rod are you using and what reel are you using please?
I think a half boilie stringer is very effective this time of year
Can’t say I’ve used one since the 90s, was always effective back then!
Great edited vid, subbed and liked... question... are your hooklengths ready made.. i.e. shop bought? If not do you have or does anyone know a video showing how you can make such suitable mono method feeder hooklengths ?? Maybe you could make such a video please?
My carp rigs are all tied myself, I only use pre-tied match rigs for smaller species as it gets a bit fiddly
old school
I thought the flatbed was quite a modern tactic, original method feeder was popular in the 90s
Nice1
Cheers 👊🏼👍🏻
awsome video Shaun. used to love method feeder fishing good fun🎣
Great on higher stocked venues
ive been doing it years i was a match angler now carper
It’s such a great tactic, do you use it for your carping?
Better a Bream thank a blank, especially in Winter
100%
Bream don't count as a blank saver ffs 😅😅😅
Yea they do in my rule book 📖
