I am a small business owner and nowadays, if you own a business you automatically have to become a social media marketing creator as well. I have tried so many lessons and videos before watching this one and everything was extremely overwhelming for someone who has never ever worked on Canva, this has been the best one so far, thank you so very much, I feel a little less overwhelmed and more confident ❤
I'm so inspired by your entrepreneurial spirit, Kate! I've been searching for a way to make extra money on the side, and your suggestions are exactly what I needed. The way you present the information is so motivating, and I'm feeling so much more hopeful about achieving my financial goals. Thank you for sharing your journey and for giving me the courage to pursue my own dreams!
Thanks so much! Can you please tell us how to make a font transparent outline? I know how to add color outlines, but can't figure out how to make transparent, when is necessary when making images for tshirts. Thanks so much!
I understand what you shared but no one talks about saving, opening, closing, etc. Some of the very basic functions that it’s not intuitively obvious how to do. I currently have 8 Canva windows open because every time I click to create, a new window opens…leaving my previous job hanging open. Can you address tasks like that?
Thanks for the feedback - we'll consider this! I know it can be a bit confusing when first starting. Generally as long as you're connected to internet, Canva will save your designs automatically, so you should be able to close them out and access them from the Canva home page. You can also organize your files into folders and sections - I touch on this a bit in the beginning of this video: ua-cam.com/video/DFFgct6gngU/v-deo.htmlsi=YLhaP6rbp-HMe74L
Hi Kate I'm really new to canva and i have just opened an etsy site making wedding items, but I'm struggling with my photos. Sorry to ask but if you can point me in the right direction I'd be very great full. I'm taking clear photos with my camera but when i upload them into canva and add my watermark all's still fine. Then i download the photo to my mac and its a tiny picture in my downloads??? I've done about 50-70 photos to see where I'm going wrong but they are all the same.....then if I zoom in to enlarge the tiny photo in etsy, because I've had to enlarge the download so much they are then blurred if you can help me its just the tiny download bit form canva i think ???? thank you karen
Bookmarked for later! I'm working through the DPC class and got muddled. There's a "watch first" video in the Designing with Canva module that explains all the updates--but I knew nothing about Canva to start with, so trying to keep in mind what's "new" and different from the version of Canva in the rest of the video series in that module is giving me some problems. Hopefully this video will help.
Hey friend! Yes, we recently added that in front of the others for anyone who might be working through it while watching so there would be less confusion since a few things got moved around. Feel free to watch the main lessons first and that one after if that way works better for you! ❤️
I used the background remover tool to isolate the umbrella, and generally you should be able to click on any image and hold the click while moving your mouse, to move an image.
Thank you for your tutorial. But there is no Canva for free. There is a free trial. But not the ability to use it for free. So experimenting with what your teaching was not possible.

Quick question,
If you get added to a team, would you get the pro package automatically or do you still need to pay forbthe pro😊
If you’re added to a team, you will have access to the pro features. :)
Thanks
You’re welcome!
Wish I could slow this down. Lots of info
Hi there, you should be able to adjust the video speed within the video settings. :)
Nice video
Thanks
You completely skipped over how to edit a template. This is my hurdle as simple as it sounds.
Copy right issues?
Say I just finished a project and want to close it and start another. I can't seem to find any squares with an X inside. Can anyone help?
can i import audio
But i thought you cant use canva elements due to copyright issues
At 9:59, how did you move the image freely?
I used the background remover tool to isolate the umbrella, and generally you should be able to click on any image and hold the click while moving your mouse, to move an image.
@@KateHayes For some reason, it started working when I tried to grab it and moving it around last night
Dear Kate I loved the video but it’s still 2024
Yes! We are making it as people look ahead to next year, as many people look to research in the fall for a new business launch in January.

Hey friend, they do have a free forever plan. The free trial I mentioned is to try out their upgraded plan, Canva Pro, for 30 days :)
