Review : An SR20 Swapped Nissan Bluebird? (Datsun 510)

This 510 is a rare and exceedingly unique car unlike any other. She is the true definition of a Japanese Classic, from the classy leather interior to the subtitle antique white paint job. The SR20DE power plant takes this ride to new levels all while maintaining an OEM look. Feeding the SR is a 19-gallon aluminum fuel tank located in the trunk with an in-tank pump. It has the power to keep up with modern traffic, unlike the original 1.3 L engine. The 3.9 gears help to keep the revs at a reasonable level at highway speeds. The suspension has also been updated so that she rides and corners effectively, it just works! She sits on some beautiful 14" Formula One aftermarket wheels wearing 185/60 Hankook Optimo tires. Steel braided brake lines combined with Wilwood brakes up front give you all of the stopping power you need. The interior features some nice BMW E30 Recaro front seats for a comfortable ride as well as a factory look.

One of our Datsun friends had a 68 bluebird 4dr sedan he brought to a Datsun car show in Oregon to sell it. He had just imported it months before, had a L13 with column gear shift didn't run but we all got into tinkering with it and got it running before it went to it's new owner.
