Tire Upgrade / Upsize on the Jimny
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 тра 2023
- Trying to get a real world feel of how the different sizes of tires look on the Jimny and the scope of clearing the fenders with a set of 31” - 275/65/R17 BFGoodrich KO2 tires.
The Jimny has very well shaped impressive wheel arches which will happily accommodate the larger tire sizes with a lift kit to aid with the clearance
* Stock Tire Size - 195/80/R15 (Bridgestone Dueler)
* Option 1 with stock suspension - 215/75R15 (BFG KO2)
* Option 2 with 50mm Lift Kit - 275/65/R17 (BFG KO2) - Авто та транспорт
Not many people go to a dealership with a measuring tape and two odd sized tyres. Hats off man. Keep the good content flowing. Cheers
One of the most informative and intelligent analysis of the 5 door Jimny yet, and the thorough work behind the tyre options really help look at the 5 door with much more respect. Thank you Jaideep and team, much appreciated.
This video speaks volumes about your enthusiasm for automobiles. It also highlights your knowledge as you are already discussing tyre sizes, taking them to the dealership when no one has had the chance to even look at the vehicle in detail. And the intention of making that effort for your audience, just to share knowledge, certainly makes this channel stand out from the rest. Keep up the good work! 😊
Thank you
I'm disappointed that he didn't demonstrate it by actually replacing the stock rear tyre with the one he brought 😏😏
@@bokinlego I think he definitely would have, if he could have. At the time when this video was recorded, there was only one jimny being circulated in the showrooms throughout northern India . So I don’t think Suzuki could have allowed people to experiment with the one and only vehicle available then-keeping in mind it was for everyone to see.
@@TreadTrails where can we get the bf goodrich 215/75r15
Jaideep your technical knowledge is too good. Your videos are truly informative then what generally people cover. Thanks for sharing 👍
You are the only positive youtuber on Jimny i'd seen so far. People complain about space frequently but i would always think that they might be wrong. If they are so happy with gypsy why complain this Mountain goat. They should be off buying Hitachi Excavators. You got a point with your enthusiasm. Love your channel.
jaideep sir is a legend in tastefully and needly modifying and collecting cars in india. hats off
You know brother! You are the only one who identified the similarity of the Giminy and the OG Gypsy.
Speedometer!
Touched my heart.
It's somthing for the enthusiastic people.
Thank you
Love the commitment!!!😊
Nice to see your passion for cars.. never seen anyone actually carrying measuring tapes and tyres to a dealer to show such details to the viewers.. good work
Good content and beautifully explained
❣️
Wonderful to hear things that haven't been covered elsewhere... Have booked one too...Am lost when it comes to technicals but had zeroed down to the 215 you mention....The information has been very useful...Thanks
Information that I was looking forward to for a jimny
This is next level. Keep it up brother
One of the very very few people who talk sense while reviewing this vehicle. Otherwise UA-cam is overflowing with stupid reviews. You hit the nail right on the head. Really looking forward for your upcoming videos.
Thank you
One of the best detailed video sir thanks ❣️💪🏼
Now that's an informative video, on point and not mindless jimny bashing.
Been watching videos on the topic of 4x4 / off-roading since I decided to buy one myself. Mr. Jaideep Singh Chahal is probably someone who knows lot about the topic and talks with passion. But then I look at subscriber base and likes and I think .. why? I have a theory; he is like royalty on this topic and we mere commoner like to keep distance :-) -- Love from Maharasthra!
Haha…that means a lot sir 😁
It’s simple. It’s the same reason why close to a billion watch Big Boss and only a handful watch HBO. Crass is mass in our country. And J’s one who serves quality.
Those massive tires and lift kit would surely look great
Yes , can’t wait to see the final outcome
@@TreadTrails me too brother 🤩, looking forward for your future videos on mods.
Going across the state of puniab it is normal to see jeeps, safaris, thars and gypsy with absurd size tyres. They might look odd but i guess they are keeping the custom and mod seen alive in the country. Ive no doubts that we will be seeing lots of jimny with huge size tyres including big rims and low profiles, keeping in mind what is being done with Thar. Exciting times for Indian automotive industry ahead.
Giving us such content is what makes TreadTrails aka Mr Jaideep Singh Chahal special! Thank you so much. Have been waiting for this one since a long time. Hats off
I saw Jaideep in one of Abhinav’s videos about Jaideep’s own v cross.
I am more than fairly impressed with his knowledge & technical know how about 4x4s.
Eagerly waiting to see him do a tastefully done version of Jimny in future.
SAME HERE DUDE, THE INTERCOOMM SYSTEM BEYOND DOPE
Now this is an objective view on this little truck ! Good stuff mate. Spot on about the mk1 Pajero as well.
Thanks a lot ... was eagerly wait for this ... will be looking forward for more upgrades
Fantastic review sir. Easy to imagine what a beautiful project vehicle the mod friendly jimny will turn out to be. Keep up the good work.
My man, the way you have described everyring is truly satisfying and more importantly it is very informative. I have my hat off for this. May Rama bless you
Excellent,review.keep it up.👍
Very informative video which we really needed. Thanks man!
That’s a great coverage on the Jimny. All other reviews are just reading brochures. This one kept me glued. Very informative. Waiting for further mod videos on Jimny so that we can learn for our build.
Regards
Great video, thanks for details
Rhats a quality content hats off to you and suzuki for letting you inside the showroom with that stuff❤
You earned a subscription from my side sir😊
Excellent, loved to watch
Thats a great review on the upcoming Jimny. Keep up the good work
commendable knowledge type of review i love to watch 😊
What a smart person., I was thinking about this lift kit and no one on UA-cam was talking about. 200% on the spot amazing personality
Great content
Need this kind of knowledge
Keep it up
finally some quality content on gimny , keep it up bro...
Extremely informative…great going bro
That's a great, to the point video. Keep up the good work
Yes from you it was much awaited 🎉
Finally, a refreshingly different content especially related to tyre upgrade. Nice 👍. I am considering two options - 215/75 - R15 (Yokohama Geolandar G015) or 225/70 - R15 (Apollo Aptera AT2) as tyre replacements. The latter will be closest to dia of the stock tyre.
Yokohama
Great video, finally covering new stuff.
Waiting for deliveries to start and mods to begin 😊
Jaideep Bhaji Himself is a Beast 🦬, anyways, good video bhaji.
Option 1 with stock suspension - 215/75R15 (BFG KO2)
What a great videos. Reminds me of the gypsy king from my college days which boys used to love with 295 maxxis tyres. Waiting for more content from this channel. You have a new subscriber.
Thanks Mr. Jaideep :) I am planning to use the stock tyres for sometime and then upgrade. Will keep looking for more Mods ideas from you :)
Great technical knowledge
Big fan
Very good explanation.
Keep it up Jaideep!
Great coverage. Waiting for more reviews on possible mods on upcoming Jimny. Waiting for more.
No nonsense
Amazing review
Very good explanation
Keep up the good work
Waiting for more
Waiting for the deliveries to begin and mods to start 😊
Great review
Quality content 👍
Any commitment from MSL or nexa dealer for probable date of delivery to start. All will boil down to the price, Jimny is launched for. Hoping for early delivery, as I booked on the 1st day when the bookings opened on 12th Jan this year.
Wow great technical knowledge 👍👍excellent video loved to watch
Awesome review
Damn I love this information ❤❤❤
Jaideep bhai 27.7 inch looks really a practical mod for everyone who do not want to spend more on the overall modification. Because anyways I see everyone will remove the stock tyres who ever thinks of taking this off roads.
Yes I feel the same too, but there are 2 other sizes that work very well on stock wheels
235/75/R15 and 30x9.5/R15
Those will be perfect upgrade if they are available in India by the time the Jimny is launched
@@TreadTrails nice bro, looking forward for the vehicle to launch, may be after I buy this ScorpioN will be driven less😁
Informative, thanks.
Great mod analysis.
very nice and very well explained🙂
Thanks a lot now more excited for delivery of my car
235/75 r15 with iron man lift kit, air filter upgrade, ecu tune is sufficient I believe to get decent mileage. Good video buddy. Awaiting the mod video.
Great explanation. Kindly do a detailed walkaround video and other mod potential of the Jimny. Great video
Do a video on turbocharger kits for the jimny 😋
Great explanation
Your reactions now that the prices are out?
Thanks for the tyres bit in the video. Couple of questions there... Would an R16 fit on the stock rim? Which one would to recommend?
Very informative
Excellent and meaningful review of the Jimny, will look forward to the video with inches tyres
Thank you , yes will upload soon
Great modification analysis. Waiting for the jimny to hit the road and the mods that will follow. Glued.
Awesome
What a great analysis veer! I really wanted to park my Gypsy, along with the Jimny in the dealership for the best comparison. 😂
Also, 30 9.5 R15 would also be a great tire size for the Jimny with a 2" lift kit.
Keep up the good work! Your channel will definitely grow into something big! 💯
Hahaha, I just hope we start getting 235/75/15 and 30/9.5/15 in india too
Super sir great work
Very good information. How do you correct speedometer reading, for bigger tires? Can it be recalibrated?
Amazing 👍
Would love to see how the jimnys are customised by you. Lot to learn. Keep up the good work.
Looking forward to seeing your upgraded Jimmy's. How much would Ironman lift kit cost and is someone importing that in India, do you know if 3 door lift kit would fit in 5 door I mean if there have been any changes due to extended wheelbase.
These are the Good Option for Jimny
225/70R15 - Apollo AT & AT2 series
215/75R15 Ultramile AT Bull & MT Bull
Yes the sizes are right but I would really not recommend these tires.
Much better options are available
Do consider the Goodyear wrangler AT/ST
You really walked in with 2 tyres options thats equivalent to spoon feeding for your audience ❤hat's off
And yes people are annoyed as the height is low but they fail to understand it keeps the centre of gravity low so even after a lift and upgraded tyres the driver will be confident to take steap obstacles
Exactly, a low cg vehicle with a good ground clearance is the best overall package
I'll be following this shit.
One can vision what monster can be made out of jimny. But all will boil down to the price it is launched for!
Amazing
Great content
How do you plan to counter the sluggishness that may come along with those 31 inchers?
Good job
Hi sir, big fan!
Hi Jaideep! Do you know if it's okay to put a 235 without a lift kit? Or will it touch the tub?
In addition to purpose, one upsize tyres will also improve the slightly flattish looking side profile the long wheelbase Jimny with stock tyres.
Off topic - will be rather interesting to see how the Jimny fares in the Himalayan raids. Sure the old devil - the Gypsy, creeping up in the rear view will without doubt make some Jimny crews nervous.
Hats off to this guy bringing dirty offroad tyres inside the showroom😆🤣
Someone had to do it 😁
This will, however screw up the mileage, but then those going in for these mods probably don't really care.
If i install 215/75 R15 then how would it impact on milage, kindly answer sir ❤
What do you think about the 225/70r15 apollo AT’s ?
Jimny would look damn good with 31/10.5 tyres ❤
Jaideep Bhaiya please let me know about the costs of upgrading the suspension lifts and tyres. Have booked a Jimny as well would have to save more money for the upgrades . Looking forward for a reply.
Owwwww! I want one!
Sitting on the fence for the 5 door thar. Your build might just tempt me into owning the jimny. All the best 👍👍
Get the Jimny paaji, ideal vehicle to use at the farm too 😁
@@TreadTrails waiting for a test drive once you get yours modified. 😀
Nice 👍
Gypsy lovers are going to love the Jimny!
Waiting for the deliveries to begin and mods to start.
