In 1988 my companion and I were let into a Sandy, Utah home where we started teaching someone who feigned being interested in the Church. During our presentation the investigator started throwing a bunch of anti-mormon talking points at us, things I had never heard before. My comp and I went home and prayed for guidance. A few days later we returned and answered our investigator's questions/accusations, speaking only the words that came to our minds. One week later my comp and I were in a Deseret Book. I started looking through Gilbert Scharffs' book "The Truth About the God Makers." To my amazement I found in that book all the accusations our investigator had been making. It was obvious he was using "The God Makers" against us. I was even more surprised when I read Scharrfs' response to those accusations. By following the Spirit my companion and I answered those accusations in the same way they are addressed in the "The Truth About the God Makers."

Your fake investigator used a rhetorical debate technique called Gish Gallop = a voluminous listing of deceptive claims, spurious arguments, half-truths, misrepresentaions, and out-right lies designed to overwhelm the opposifion and to pursuade uninformed listeners. Democrat polititians and leftists corporate media use the Gish Gallop on a regular basis. Moses calls it Bearing False Witness.
The CES Letter (which is a collection of Reddit subscriber complaints) is an example of Gish Gallop. The Saducees and Pharacees routinely Gish Galloped Jesus, but He was wise to their tricky technique.

Lamanite here, looking at the gospel from a lamanite perspective is amazing. How I was introduced to the Church in South America was an incredible miracle. Also, reading the inspired book " a marvelous work and a wonder" by Legrand Richards, it's a great help that covers all aspects of the Gospel, the Holy priesthood, the new Jerusalem, the true Authority and all God's orderly lay out of His plan on the dispensetions.
Now that I look back, I got just amazed how my God never took His Holy Eye from me. Here I'm with my eternal family, also my son is serving a mission now and has been very successful taking the light of the Gospel to many lamanites as well gentiles(another prophesy and promised of the book of Mormon) All for the glory of God and His son Jesus Christ. The knowledge I've gained wouldn't be ever attained somewhere else. Being in the misonary work, I've seen hundres of miracles if not thousands. I've seen people being converted and direct into the church by even personal Heavenly experiences ❤❤I witnessed myself many of those miracles.

Brother David. IMHO, one of the greatest books outside of the Standard Works to help Latter-Day Saints be ready to give an to answer the hope we have is the classic, “A Marvelous Work & A Wonder,” by the late LeGrand Richards. He knew his scriptures and was a venerable Apostle of The Lord. I used to love to hear him speak at conference.

Good morning David! Good to see you! My Dad had Mormonphobia because he said they will take all your money! So glad I discovered the Church in my teens and waited 5 years until my parents deemed I was an adult and could make my own decision to be baptised. Being a member has always been a great blessing to me. Despite periods of wandering around in the mists of darkness, I always stumbled back onto the strait and narrow way!

I know personally that the story you told about the young girl getting baptized for the dead is a true story. Long ago when I got my Endowment in the LA Temple, we first started in the Chapel, we heard a few faith promoting stories and the story about this girl happening in the Los Angeles Temple. Years later I met this girl, now a married women and she told me this story about herself.

Speaking of Mormonphobia, a buddy of mine grew up in Southern California. He and his family are all members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Growing up there were 5 boys in the family...
According to my friend, every family in the neighborhood sent their kids to hang out with the Moss family, after all, these boys were great kids, they set a great example, and stayed out of trouble...
However, according to my buddy, the neighborhood parents would say, "Go play with the Moss boys, but don't ever go to church with them!"😂

I joined the church at age 10. I declared the gospel boldly. I experienced scorn from children and adults. I had a friend who's teacher lowered her grades because she was lds. In order to get along in this world I learned to keep my mouth shut and share my testimony with actions. Sharing the truth never worked. I was told I was a liar trying to trick people into worshiping Satan. I respect your opinion and I hope it works, in my experience most people's minds are made up. Those of us who have been members a long time can't handle any more assaults.😢

Very understandable reaction. But I am glad those sister Missionaries were there to do their best to share the truth with me. It saved my life. It is love...to risk ourselves to try to help those who are lost...even if we have to suffer a lot of rejection and abuse...to find the ones that will respond.
I think even if we find it hard...to obey D & C 123 is STILL the call of love and of the Holy Ghost:
11 And also it is an imperative duty that we owe to all the rising generation, and to all the pure in heart-
12 For there are many yet on the earth among all sects, parties, and denominations, who are blinded by the subtle craftiness of men, whereby they lie in wait to deceive, and who are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it-
13 Therefore, that we should waste and wear out our lives in bringing to light all the hidden things of darkness, wherein we know them; and they are truly manifest from heaven-
14 These should then be attended to with great earnestness.
15 Let no man count them as small things; for there is much which lieth in futurity, pertaining to the saints, which depends upon these things.
16 You know, brethren, that a very large ship is benefited very much by a very small helm in the time of a storm, by being kept workways with the wind and the waves.
17 Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed.

This story was related to me by a LDS.
His then-branch president related he was studying to become a minister.
One day, the missionaries knocked on his door.
He invited them in and asked difficult questions that the missionaries had a tough time answering.
At the end, missionaries bore their testimonies and ask him to prayerfully read the Book of Mormon - another testament of Jesus Christ.
They came back on another day.
They didn't know what other questions he had for them....
He had read the Book of Mormon, he asked them how he could join the LDS church.
He was humble enough to read, ponder and pray to the Father, in the name of Jesus Christ concerning the Book of Mormon.
In this condition, the Holy Ghost answered his sincere prayer.

Hey David, as part of this series can you address the desire of many Christians of an easy path to heaven? The idea that all you have to do is “confess Jesus” surely must be among the reasons people don’t want to look at our church and is a money-making point for business-Christianity. A gospel that requires little is more appealing than one which requires everything.

David, I received a message from an Evangelical lady friend in Nairobi, Kenya. She called the Prophet Joseph Smith a "womanizer" for being sealed to multiple women, yet she did not mention anything about Solomon and David who truly" had many wives" . Why are Christians and Evangelicals still read their scriptures in the Holy Bible. They say nothing evil about ancient prophets who lived milennia ago but are swift to chide and poke fun of modern day prophets. Why should brother Joseph and his successors be held to higher standards while these ancients prophets who made mistakes, sometimes serious mistakes walks away scot free. What a glaring hypocrisy by Evangelicals who refuse to look at the truth. David, these Evangelicals are "the offenders of our brethren". Again, thanks David for the videos you post. Keep on doing the work of God and do not let these Evangelical/Protestants bring you down.

One of the things that I've learned is that; the majority of Christians faiths don't have a minimal comprenhesion of the Spiritual world. They talk just about heavens or hell. But as we gain more enlightening which by the way we have a lot of it from the bible ( like the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, Jesus explaining to the thief on the cross that evening of the crucifixion and then explaining it the differences on Sunday to Mary Magdalen that He how He had not yet ascended to Heavenly Father, plus also revealed to Peter that he went to the spiritual world to preech to those who were captive. also 2 Peter: and for that reason He went to preach the gaspel so they coud be jugde according to the flesh..etc). What we can see there in that place is that (and must be so) a spiritual social relationship, a spiritual citizenship social activities on which they may be granted some information from this terrestrial world and even they can be allow to see us and send massages. They can use the channels that are appoved by God. As with the angels when come with a mision doesn't they? Dose not Elijah returned to talk to Jesus and also Moses came to talk to Jesus at the night of the transfiguration? And so did Moroni, Gabriel and many others. So Paul talk about this too.

    @sukt00;A great question!
In Mormon theology, the "burning of the bosom" refers to a personal spiritual experience or feeling that confirms the truth of something. However, Mormons also teach that feelings can be deceiving.
To reconcile this, Mormons believe that a burning of the bosom is not just a fleeting emotion, but a spiritual confirmation that comes from the Holy Ghost. They believe that this confirmation is a calm, gentle, and peaceful feeling that can be distinguished from fleeting emotions.
Mormons also emphasize the importance of seeking spiritual confirmation through prayer, scripture study, and seeking guidance from church leaders. They encourage individuals to carefully evaluate their feelings and seek a witness from the Holy Ghost, rather than solely relying on emotions.
Additionally, Mormons believe in the principle of "study it out" (Alma 17:2-3), where they seek to understand a matter by studying and pondering, and then seeking spiritual confirmation.
    Does that help clarify things?

David, if you’re so inclined, one argument I repeatedly encounter is that our faith is built on “feelings” - that the burning in the bosom, or just a witness as I understand it, is not how God operates.
The argument, depending if you’re Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant, being that you look to either logic and tradition to discern truth or the Bible - but either way the heart i.e. our own thoughts or feelings are deceptive.
This is a topic I intend to read more into and ask the Father, but I thought I’d ask how you worked that out?
Your videos are great and much appreciated! Thank you

I'm not David but I once found these three Bible scriptures:
      Luke 24: 32
And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
      Matt 16: 17
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
      1 Kings 19: 11-13.
11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

Many members are not willing to speak about the gospel as you are suggesting David because of fear of offending friends and family, and not confident to explain LDS beliefs from the Bible. We ought to be more courageous and bold, as what we have is not ordinary.

It's understandable that you believed what they said about this Church, you had never heard what we really believe, only what others had told you we "really" believe.

A good video idea would be to watch the James White video and respond to the claims one after another.

In non-COJesusChrist-of-LDS Christianity, once a person prays the sinner's prayer and recieves Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, into their hearts, can that be undone or lost? In their belief, can that salvation be lost to them, ever? Can they do something bad enough or are they just saved?

Just saved. Once saved always saved. Could some denominational differences.
I respond to that Are You Saved? I say “yes. 40 years now. Once saved always saved”. They cannot refute that. I was protestant who accepted Jesus. But found the true church. So both saved and LDS technically.

I would rather err...on the side of being "too kind"...than on the side of being unkind. But I get your point. I would hate to be in their shoes...they have a lot to answer for...the sentence for those who "stumble the little ones"...is quite clear.

Who are these Evangelicals really serving ? Certainly not our Lord and Savior Jesus and Savior . Satan is their shepherd and they are hearkening unto their true master,s voice.
