Hi Trev & Sue, Tuscany is so beautiful, those vistas! And all those buildings and the architecture, I could look at that all day. I love the alleyways and the statues...the 3 legged lamp post was very cool. Bet you had some good food there too. Take care, Debbie - BluWave Odyssey
Hi Trev, sorry to hear you have been poorly, hope you are all recovered now. Luca looks a lovely place to visit, Tony has a cousin who lives there. Take care, really enjoyed the video x
Thanks Julie, had very bad day and it took a few more days to get over it but everyone was supportive and it didn’t spoil the holiday (I hope 😊) Tuscany is beautiful and we only saw a fraction of it. I think we will have to go back 😃🚐 Trev
Well that stinks you got a little ill on your trip. Stinks to be behind schedule. Nice drive. Love all the old buildings! Think that might be the best part for me if I ever went to Europe. Hah those little streets are funny! We have alleys bigger than that lol. Haha the stairs. You sound like me. Huffing and puffing and being upset about another flight of them lol. Oh that's a shame that Sue had to stay behind. But good idea about switching off so each of you get a chance to explore. Such a great day! I would have guessed it was more than 2 hours. You took in a lot.
We loved Tuscany and could have stayed longer as there was so much to see. It’s beautiful in parts of Italy with countryside and historic places too 😃Trev
Another lovely video thanks - and very well done for getting up all those stairs in that heat 🥵 Glad to see you’ve made a full recovery Trev. Looking forward to the next one, Debs x
I’m sorry to hear you were unwell, I’ve only ever had food poisoning once after supermarket hot roast chicken and I was so poorly. I must admit I feel a bit guilty because my first thought wasn’t about Trev, it was who emptied the cassette 🥴. Glad to see after your illness and challenging journey you had a fantastic time. Thanks for sharing.
Guess who ? It was me that emptied the cassette 😝 Don’t ask me how I did it, but I managed it. Just walking to the chemical waste point was a challenge. The drive to Italy was the hardest of all the travel days. We didn’t enjoy the drive much, the motorways were so busy and lorries aggressive. We were glad to arrive at Barco Reale in Tuscany 🙂 Trev x
Not nice when your ill on holiday hope you recovered OK trev what a loverly camp and town everytime I see a bell tower reminds me off ww2 films the Germans always in the bell towers lol great vid all the best donny
Took a few days to get back to my old self Donny. Really appreciate your kind words. Yes the old buildings definitely remind us of some old ww2 films 😃 Thanks mate 👍🏻🚐 Trev
Beautiful views of the distant mountains and city. Love that cathedral. Those old streets were definitely made for horse and buggy😁 Thanks for the great tour.👍💕😊
This area is packed with history and beautiful places to visit. We could only choose a few and our favourite Florence is in Friday’s video. It’s awesome 😃👍🏻 Trev
What an amazing trip. I have always wanted to visit Italy. Beautiful views and scenery. I loved that cathedral. Wonderful tour. Thanks so much for sharing and taking us along with you. Great video!
Thank you Angela, Italy is a beautiful country with so much history. We just saw a little of the Tuscany area and on Friday’s video we show our day-trip to fabulous Florence 😃👍🏻 Trev
The dogs were always our number one consideration during the heat wave. We felt we made the best judgement by keeping them in the shade and cool area on the campsites. Thanks Terry 👍🏻😃 Trev
Sorry to hear you have been ill Trev but glad to see you up and about now. I think you managed those roads very well as they looked very scary to me. Another great find with the site though with amazing views from the swimming pool. Fantastic architecture in Lucca with a new find round every corner, very interesting. See you on the next one and thanks for sharing your trip
Thanks Jane, we loved Tuscany and the car rental was key to getting around and visiting the little historic places. On Friday we have a video from Florence, our favourite day trip 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev
Well done on doing all those miles that you've been doing, on unfamiliar roads, some of those roads looked hair raising. Don't think I could keep that pace up. That town looked very atmospheric.
Thanks Bob, it’s been a tough schedule and we have made a couple of changes as it was becoming very tiring. The places we have visited have made it worthwhile but it’s definitely been a challenge 😃👍🏻 🚐 See you both at The NEC 👍🏻💕 Trev n Sue
Many thanks for this Trev and Sue. The town with the towers in the distance at 13.30 is San Gimignano where we stayed at the end of August. The campsite is about a mile out of town and a bus service take you to the town which is now a world heritage site and where not a lot has changed since renaissance times. Well worth a visit.
Thanks Gordon, Sue went there with Kev and Tracey for dinner but I stayed behind as I was still suffering from my food poisoning episode. It took me several days to recover and I regret not going, however it gives us a good reason to return 👍🏻😃🚐 Trev
What a beautiful place and lovely look around - views looked amazing - you could see how hot it was and imagine it makes it difficult going in the heat. Hope the dogs are managing to keep cool enough and great idea to do shifts, we tend to do that (generally rather than always hear related 😀) . Enjoy the rest of your break, all the best, David & Rachel 👍
Thanks David and Rachel, it was intensely hot and not possible to take dogs with us to some of the day trips. We took great care to ensure they were kept cool as they are like me… getting on a bit 🤣🤣 Best wishes 😃🚐 Trev
Hi Both, This may be a dated video now but I wanted to ask how you managed witht he dogs in Italy - I've heard they need to be muzzled at all times when out ? - public transport - can they travel on buses and trains etc?
@@Simbadsdad Hi Paul, we walked our dogs on campsites and in the local streets without muzzles in Italy. At no point did we use one. We rented a car in Tuscany so we didn’t need to use public transport at all. We drove to the cities and parked in the car parks and walked into the city centres. It was so hot in Italy when we were there in early September that we took it in turns to stay at the van and look after the dogs so we didn’t take them with us most of the time. In San Marino and Garda we got taxis and left the dogs at the van for short periods as it was cooler there. So I can’t answer whether dogs are allowed on the busses and trains. You may find it will vary from place to place. Hope that helps 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev

Another beautiful day out in Tuscany. The sunshine and the history is mesmerising and we could have spent so much more time exploring there 😃🚐 Trev
Those stairs would be a oh hell no for me! Way to high and way to open! Lol. And if you had issues, I'd probably have to go up sideways. 🤣
I was puffing like a steam train at the top 🤣 Showing my age but couldn’t resist the chance to see the view 😃👍🏻 Trev x
Lucca looked lovely. Take care Gill
Lucca was a close second to Florence which is on our next video 😉 take care 💕 Trev n Sue
Never been to Italy, but it looks lovely. If we ever make it there, I'm going to eat lots of sirloin steak, so I can stay extra days😉
I definitely should of had the snails 🤣🤣 Trev

Thanks Mark, the Tuscan hills are beautiful and the historic cities and old towns are amazing 😃 Trev
Beautiful region. Great vlog. Kev got it right 👏it's Lucca not Lucker 🤔
Kev is very knowledgeable about Tuscany and was a really useful guide during the tour 😃🚐 Trev
