Answer should be 9 because first we have to solve bracket than division and then multiply. Bracket- 2+1=3 Division- 9/3=3 Then, 3into3=9. Which is the answer.

According to the rules of BODMAS first we have to solve the brackets thats 3 then division the answer is 3 and this 3 multiplied by 3 gives 9 . So 9 is the correct answer

Yes Sir... I just searched that why is this rule followed... than there was a moment of shock... I just got to know that the BODMAS method has been removed since 1917... and a new method is being used , i.e., PEMDAS... Its just so wierd that all the sums and problems i have been doing since class 6 are not applicable from 1917... and still this thing is not written in any book
Ha but PEMDAS se bhi to pahle Parenthesis yani 2+1 = 3 and then Exponent (nahi hai) then multiply 3×3 = 9 and then divide, 9÷9 = 1 ayega, ye answer 9 galat la raha hai
@@GyanPrakash-xo5gs in PEMDAS, M and D have the same preference..that means whatever comes before from left to right will be solved first...so since division came before multiplication in this case, it will be solved first...
The 99% who failed in this problem are Dear Sir, his staff and his students. Am I right? Because I don't think that 8th class student will take more than 5 seconds to solve it. Isn't it?
Hy dear sir .... I have find one more option i.e. 3 This is how ~> 9÷3(2+1) 9÷3(3) 3(3÷3) 3(1) 3 answer 😅 Thnku for seeing my comment if anyone had seen 😎😊💞

B bracket () O of yani × D divide ÷ M multiply × A add+ S subtract - Iske aanu saaar hum log bracket ke bad multiply kar sakte q ki f aa rha hai or F ka matlab × hota hai
There is no agreed upon convention on whether multiplication by juxtaposition implies grouping or not. The notation is ambiguous as a result. Both answers are possible. It's simply a poorly written expression written like that on purpose to be misleading and go viral. It's a trick. Modern international standards like ISO-80000-1 mention about division on one line with multiplication or division directly after and that brackets are required to remove ambiguity. Other places you can read about this ambiguity, if you like, are: - The PEMDAS Paradox (a paper by a PhD student on this ambiguity) - The Failure of PEMDAS (the writer has a PhD in maths) - Harvard Math Ambiguity - Berkeley Arithmetic Operations Ambiguity - PopularMechanics Viral Ambiguity (The American Mathematical Socitey says it's ambiguous) - Slate Maths Ambiguity - Education Week Maths Ambiguity Wolfram Alpha's Solidus article mentions a similar ambiguity Matt Parker from the highly respected Stand Up Maths channel says it's ambiguous too as well as some other maths professors on UA-cam.
According to BODMAS, before devision we need to solve for "Of" and if there is nothing between a bracket and a number, then it is considered as "Of". So in this question, rather writing 3*3, u need to write 3of 3 which will be 9. And the real answer will be 1.
Nope we can't, as () becomes × only if in bracket there is one term or the term couldn't be subtracted or added further, 2+1 is a whole term on its own
The older answer is always right bro, even if this so called new system exists it has a loop hole, and that is they consider "Or" ( before division ) As Multiplication ( after division) Which is wrong though both does multiplication but the Or thing is the multiplication we have to do before division

Sir 9 bcz There is a bracket that indicates multiply.
Sir you are right.
Question =9÷3(2+1)
By using BODMAS
B= bracket
O=of
D=devide
M=multiply
A=addition
S=subtraction
So,
9÷3(2+1)
=9÷3(3)
=9÷3×3
=3×3
=9
I have solved this question using BODMAS without watching this video. Like if you have solved this question without watching the video forward.. Also comment💬

Normie hai kya
Ji sahi bat h
Ha but PEMDAS se bhi to pahle Parenthesis yani 2+1 = 3 and then Exponent (nahi hai) then multiply 3×3 = 9 and then divide, 9÷9 = 1 ayega, ye answer 9 galat la raha hai
@@GyanPrakash-xo5gs in PEMDAS, M and D have the same preference..that means whatever comes before from left to right will be solved first...so since division came before multiplication in this case, it will be solved first...
We learnt BODMAS in NZ in 1978. Since learning PEMDAS the acronyms are different... but the method is the same I get 9 using either acronym.
Actually can anyone explain why we are using bodmas instead of normal calculation? What is the use of bodmas here ? Why we have to use it ?
The 99% who failed in this problem are Dear Sir, his staff and his students. Am I right? Because I don't think that 8th class student will take more than 5 seconds to solve it. Isn't it?

Yess
Yes it's true
There is no agreed upon convention on whether multiplication by juxtaposition implies grouping or not.
The notation is ambiguous as a result. Both answers are possible.
It's simply a poorly written expression written like that on purpose to be misleading and go viral. It's a trick.
Modern international standards like ISO-80000-1 mention about division on one line with multiplication or division directly after and that brackets are required to remove ambiguity.
Other places you can read about this ambiguity, if you like, are:
- The PEMDAS Paradox (a paper by a PhD student on this ambiguity)
- The Failure of PEMDAS (the writer has a PhD in maths)
- Harvard Math Ambiguity
- Berkeley Arithmetic Operations Ambiguity
- PopularMechanics Viral Ambiguity (The American Mathematical Socitey says it's ambiguous)
- Slate Maths Ambiguity
- Education Week Maths Ambiguity
Wolfram Alpha's Solidus article mentions a similar ambiguity
Matt Parker from the highly respected Stand Up Maths channel says it's ambiguous too as well as some other maths professors on UA-cam.

According to BODMAS, before devision we need to solve for "Of" and if there is nothing between a bracket and a number, then it is considered as "Of". So in this question, rather writing 3*3, u need to write 3of 3 which will be 9. And the real answer will be 1.
You r wrong
Ans is 9
No , it is considered as multiplication u can search it anywhere you want
@@shahzad3071 no you are wrong
My answer was also 9 . Kidzz question. open challenge completed.
2 minutes silence for that marker
3:15
RIP marker
Not 3:15 it's 3:16 pagalll
But what if there would be X instead (2+1)
Then can we proceed to older answer ?
Its answer is 7
yes
we can proceed
Nope we can't, as () becomes × only if in bracket there is one term or the term couldn't be subtracted or added further, 2+1 is a whole term on its own
The older answer is always right bro, even if this so called new system exists it has a loop hole, and that is they consider "Or" ( before division )
As Multiplication ( after division)
Which is wrong though both does multiplication but the Or thing is the multiplication we have to do before division
They teach the best

yes its very very easy..... infact even failures of maths can solve this
But acording to the BODMAS rule, we should do the work of 'Of' [3 (3)
= 3 of 3
= 9] first.
4÷2 of 2 answer
Let's prove this.
We have studied a property
In this case, 9 ÷3(2+1)
So here 3(2+1) opening this
We get this
3×2+3×1
And now we have 9÷3×2+3×1 so according to bodmas division will be first so 9 ÷3=3 again we have
3×2+3×1
6+3 =9 ..
Hope this will help
@Arpita Chauhan acording to the BODMAS rule we have to do the work of Bracket [B for Bracket] at first
9÷3 (2+1)
= 9÷3of3
=9÷9
=1
Hope this will help
@@arpitachauhan341 Learn the BODMAS rules properly beforehand
