Good review! I have driven the Mazdaspeed Miata. It felt more planted on the road vs. early NBs (maybe due to the extra weight, more chassis bracing and an those 17 inch wheels), and one can definitely feel the extra HP as the turbo spools up. Then I got back into the 1999 NB, which (at 200lbs + lighter) felt more fun and playful on its feet. The Mazdaspeed reminded me of my s2000 in some respects (heavier, more refined, more mechanical grip, etc.). Then I realized that the 1999 is the the Miata experience I was looking for--the NB.1 is the closest non-NA experience to the original NA Miata formula. I recently put a Flyin Miata Stage 2 Suspension Kit (Konis, FM Spring and Sways) and it has transformed it into a cornering weapon. I love the NB. It's now sitting right next to my S2000.
@@tmo2798 I'll take 1.6 115 hp NA everyday over any other NA/NB, closest competition would be late NBFL1.8 with sportpackage (6speed/factory bilsteins). I recently purchased a Mazdaspeed (1/4 here in Sweden) and I honestly don't like it that much. I feels like I needs alot of mods to really shine. Also NB has horrible framerail rust, I'll take rear wheelarch rust anyday over the rust from the inside rust in the NB framrails. I've looked at cars without a rustspeck on the outside that has had holes in the framerails.
Great review! I would love to hear your opinion as a car reviewer on what my first car should be because i am a new driver and i'm heavily looking at sports cars. Ive looked at a few cars like the Gr86 and the Brz, but I keep seeing great reviews on the miata and now I've pretty much decided on getting a miata. But which year should i go for? What would be the best and the most enjoyable miata to drive in your opinion?

NAs are overrated. I'll still pick one up if old people held out long enough. NAs aren't as good as the NB. And no. .. They don't look as good. [.]

Mazdaspeed does also come with silver bilsteins and I could assume different springs. Yellow Bilsteins were available as option on the regular NB
@@Infinityl33t You're silly. Methamphetamines are bad for you.
Looking for one of these myself recently! I knew your channel existed but heard more about you with Collector Car Feed, subbed :)
FDs cost lots of money and overheat, then blow up. Or blow up, then overheat. Miata FTW.
Subscribed, these reviews are Just as i want a review yo be.
You just earned a sub, great video man
I can’t wait to see that Blue NB review. Hopefully it’s to the point where you can do a review on it soon.
Great review!

Do you think i should aim for the 2004 miata? It also seems to be a good price

Weird thing to ask but have you reviewed a 2001 Honda Civic ex coupe

I love my MSM, but good lord the stock ECU is trash
I agree but doing the tps mod makes it worlds better.
Explain this more.... my 2004 MSM is having electrical issues... could it be the ECU..? 😧
