Dermatology is very competitive and it takes 4-5 years after the house job to build right credentials to enter into the training. Recently was talking to Australian dermatology registrar and she was telling me she got into training after 8 years of unaccredited dermatology jobs, publications, masters and aligning great references. Hope this clears the air that it’s not the years but the”effort” required to enter training into highly competitive surgical medical and similar specialties

I'm an IMG who have completed internship in my home country.
I do have completion of internship certificate, but I have only 10 months of internship experience d/t personal reasons.
Would this be a trouble in me getting a PGY-2 job after getting AMC certificate? because I have heard that AHPRA may reject an IMG's application for limited/provisional registration for PGY-2 jobs if they don't recognize IMG's internship from home country.
I'm worried my internship certificate would not be accepted by AHPRA because of it being only 10 months long and not 12 months.

There is no easy or fast way to the top. Better get used to hardships if you do not want a mediocre life. India, US, UK, Australia don’t matter

just have a small doubt thou ... What is the total number of pg seats (India ) or registrarship available for all clinical subjects throughout all hospitals in all medical colleges and hospitals in Australia ( ent,opthal ,medicine ,surgery ,obgy,paeds, orthopedics,anesthesia , psychiatry ,radiology dermatology , pulmonary medicine ,emergency medicine etc ) .
What is the total number of seats and in how many of these seats can a international medical graduates enroll given than they have passed their amc exams and have 1-2 years of general practitioner experience in Australia.
