First one, guy in the red is on his phone. You're in a nice boat in the Atlantic Ocean and you're doing the same thing you could be doing on the toilet at your house. Sad.

At least the first boat has the fenders ready for any UFO that may attack them on the port side and plenty more on the bow if the attack continues. Lady appears to be fine; she’s on her way phone on the way back. Just because you CAN go out in those conditions doesn’t mean you should, especially on that top heavy Greyhound bus.

I think he was calling the Coast Guard to get him the heck off that crazy captain's boat.

I'm from Germany, far away from our coast, but I'm thrilled how many boats in sunny Florida are named 'Smash the like button'.

I knew that was an expert captain. Can tell by the fenders hanging over the sides.

Rather incredible how so many of these captains seem to be going out boating without checking the weather/wind conditions beforehand only to have to turn back!

100k plus worth of engines on some of these more like 150k 180k but the thing is these are full on race worthy engines. They have to be in a boat. There is so much more resistance to move a boat than car and you tend to stay high rpm, come out of the water and grab an extra thousand rpm back and fourth all of the time. That’s why a 500hp outboard is 40k ish

Yeah, and used outboards are a crapshoot. I spent 6K on a 10 year old Merc 115.

Love how they all gun it until the first or second wave crushes them...rule of thumb if the wave is higher than your bow turn around..

2nd captain looks like he was purposely just trying to get a charter group wet... Very dangerous to being doing that with people inexperienced on the water, especially in a rough and busy inlet without life jackets... but hey, let's hope for the best and natural selection takes its course 👍

How far out do the boats have to go before the crazy waves stop and the water smoothed out?

I suppose you could say the Captain in the second video is being reckless, however. What is wrong with the adults clinging to the bow rail? 😆 PS watching these videos has changed the way of judge those who boat in the N.W. 😉

Do outboards ever fail due to rough seas or water seeping in? They seem more durable than I would have expected.

Yes... engine trimmed so high it was cavatating.. almost exposing the prop. Hi might have been trying to trim the bow up for the incoming waves.

First boat.... some of these boats are big. But theyre still bay boats. Heavy.. underpowered. Designed to have big roomy cabins and hold a lot of people. Not designed to take you out a rough inlet.
Second boat. Proof that having the money to buy a boat doesnt qualify you to operate it. Anyone with kids on the bow like that while underway anywhere any time is an idiot. In the inlet its criminal.
The big center consoles are made for this. Lots of bow flare to cut and push the water out the sides. Once you get out into the deep water it smooths out. The inlet is shallow. The rollers from the ocean get pushed up into steep breakers. Wind. Tide. Make it change all day long. It looked like a beutiful day. Probably hot and still in the intercoastal.
You need to be able to handle that water if your going out. It could be calm as glass going out. Come back in 2 hours and have to white knucle it back in.
Its a shame but most of the people on this channel are totally unprepared. A lot of the boats are pigs designed to be slow and comfy in the bay.
A lot of "captains" belong in the bay.

The first two were hard to watch. First one, woman can't sit in a seat right and needs rescuing... So pathetic. Second one, captain endangering that many people and encouraging kids to make dumb decisions. If they get washed overboard, you can't even help that many. Brainless.

Using your phone number to get authorization is also used by social media companies to link to other peoples contact list. That’s how they figure out that Joe is in Sally’s contact list and they make the connection between the two and they start building more recommendations people you might know
