Keep sharing your daily meal recipes ; being Asian (Korean) American and learning Mexican and Japanese through both of you is such a joy . Your international travels, educational and cultural sensitivity is a breath of fresh air . The sky is the limit.
You guys are so understated and it's refreshing. I love the um-hum stamp of approval. Both of you are so chill. Much appreciated. I hear you. I grew up in this area and got to eat in a budding Vietnamese town in South Seattle. I lived for years across from Franklin High School in Mount Baker. Maybe you know the area.
I can honestly say I have never had Vietnamese food. I wonder if these Vietnamese restaurants were there in the 70's and 80's? That was when I lived in Seattle. Thai, Italian and Mexican food. You guys made that sound so good , now I have to find a Vietnamese restaurant.
I live in Renton. They have a Taku restaurant in Seattle....LoL. This is for Jocelyn. One of the best Mexican spots is Carnitas Michoacan up on Beacon Hill. To good! Enjoy your visit!!!
The Vietnamese food looked incredible that fried shell wrapped in lettuce awesome now got to go down to Seattle to try it I live 69 miles north of Seattle, Book it !
Pizza go to spots: bar del corso (beacon hill), Stevie’s (burien), Windy City pie, moto pizza( if you go at 4:30pm you can see if you can order a pie without having to wait 2 months), post alley pizza, and pizza pulcinella
This hits the core of my ❤. Vietnamese food will always be my #1 Vietnamese is my Heritage and very Proud. ThkU 🙏 ps. I JUZ LOVE TO COOK N LOVE DELICIOUS FOOD. ❤ x 💯 from Savannah Georgia USA
Love the videos and also this extra channel is awesome more relax. Thank you. If you guys go to Los Angeles area there is a place in lawndale near El Camino College name pho Hong long that's my go to pho place. Oh the spring roll is the best.
Should come fish with Heroes On the Water while you're in WA. We take local Veterans, First Responders and family members out Kayak fishing. We provide all the gear, snacks, drinks, and lunch. We also provide the fishing license for the day for all those participating and volunteering. We recently upgraded our Fleet to Hobie kayaks.
My mom makes the best Bun Bo Hue, you guys are welcome to come over ANY time! We do homemade banh bot loc too! Never mind my last name, it’s my married name..I am Vietnamese 100%. Hit me up when you’re back in the Bay 😊
The procuitto and arugula pizza at tutta Bella is amazing. The original location is near the bun Bo hue place in Rainer. Check out the pho bac. They have a pho with beef rib. Mike Chen hit that and it’s good. It’s in china town. If you want a bowl of amazing soup. Check out 19 gold in Fremont. The mala tang surf and turf. It’s amazing. It’s Vancouver bc Asian level quality. Check out 10 second noodle in Bellevue. The crossing the bridge noodles is out of this world.
I live like 3 mins from that bun bo hue restuarant and I've never tried it before. Definitely gonna try it soon. I would recommend big Mario pizza, calozzi, burbs burger chinatown has lots of good asian restaurants, also you guys should visit capital hill forsure lots of restaurants and places to visit.
Omg y'all were just in my neck of the woods! I see a lot of people recommending Tutta Bella and they're yummy, but my fave pizza spot is definitely Lupo in Freemont! They do sourdough pizza and make their own chili oil 🔥
Serious Pie has a few locations. Best pizza! Owned by famous Seattle chef Tom Douglas. Lupo in Fremont and Bar Cotto in Capital Hill both have amazing pizzas too.
I am also not a fan of american breakfast. I love a good soup for breakfast instead! (currently eating a ramen at 7am lol) Thanks for sharing; I live in Seattle and am sick of spending too much money trying to find a decent meal, so I've kind of given up and just cook at home except like 3 meals a month. It'll be nice to try these spots out since I trust your palette. : )
Hey - Been in that area off MLK a few times, there's a deli and a decent dim sum place next door in King Plaza. I've been craving bun bo hue lately also. Gonna have to try that place! Peaceful travels!
Zeke's Pizza is pretty good. Local with some variations you won't find at other pizza places. They have several locations in Seattle. By the way, your opening shot was on I-5 in Tacoma, Taku and Jocelyn in my hood!
“Blood Cube” those are pig blood. Cambodians eat them with rice porridge. Come out to Long Beach to Cambodia town and try the house special rice porridge at Phnom Penh noodle shack or their second location in Cerritos Ricestring Noodle Shack.
so cool that you guys are eating something besides the typical pho, summer rolls and banh mi. i wouldn't expect anything less ;) i'm east asian but i don't think i could eat bun bo hue because of the coagulated blood. i'm not very adventurous when it comes to those things. everything else sounds good though. what does banana blossom taste like? i really want to try those tapioca dumplings filled with shrimp.
Uwajimaya! I love that place and I think it's better than Marukai and Mitsuwa in Cupertino. I haven't tried any Vietnamese restaurants in Seattle. Amanda & Felix Eats (from Hawaii) also featured Vietnamese restaurants during their visit to Seattle recently and it all looked really good. BTW, I know you don't go to any East Bay eateries, but if you're ever in the Concord area, you should try Veggie Today. It's a Vietnamese vegan restaurant (I'm not vegan) that makes the best banh xeo I've ever had. They also make the best egg rolls, too. Their bun is also really good.
@@TaklyntheWorld - I've loved it ever since I went to Thailand as a colleges student. Most places in the US can't seem to get it right, though. There has to be certain balance of broth/gravy that is thick enough to coat everything, but thin enough to be slurp-able. The egg noodles need to be thick enough to not just become a ball , but thin enough to eat. The mean should always be stewed to "bone falling off" tender. The flavor should be rich, deeply flavorful, spicy, and a little sweet. And it should always be served with pickled mustard greens, sugar, lime, chili, and shallots. Pop Pop nails it! It's perfect.
Where did u go for that ube coffee I live like 40 min from Seattle
Coffeeholic! Sorry, there was supposed to be text saying each location but for some reason it disappeared in the export. 😅
@@TaklyntheWorld awesome thank u. Also ur videos are great. Hope u 2 enjoy Washington lots of great places to fish and eat.

You need to try vietnamese food! It's some of the best cuisine out there.
Miss Seattle. Loved there for 7 years.
I live in Renton. They have a Taku restaurant in Seattle....LoL. This is for Jocelyn. One of the best Mexican spots is Carnitas Michoacan up on Beacon Hill. To good! Enjoy your visit!!!
one of my favorite restaurants! Thank you for showing this place love
There is a place in Eastside SJ called Boda. They have really good pho and clams with black bean sauce. Yummy 😋
You said Bun Bo Hue right too. First Taku, now you. Impressed Jocelyn. 👏🏼👏🏼 ☺️…. You know how many non viets mess up those words??
No she did not lmfao 😂
@@MyspacHor911They said it with a southern accent. It's legit.
Great video Jocelyn & Taku! Love pho and ramen, have to try me some bun bo hue for sure.
Thanks for sharing!!!
Thats the 1st place I tried pho before, many, many years ago. Vietnamese buddy took us there, and I've been hooked to Vietnamese cuisine ever since

Big Mario’s for pizza, and also check out Gourmet Noodle Bowl for Taiwanese Beef noodle soup!!!
You guys should hit the green river/duwamish it ends in seattle and this year has been crazy for salmon, biggest run in the pasy 15 years

That's probably the best Bun Bo Hue place in Seattle. Pho My Chau and the dessert place below them are also very good and authentic.
Will have to check pho my chau next time!
Love this Seattle series. Subscribed :)
Pizzeria Pulcinella in Renton/Seattle location (Rainier Ave)
Im so envious of yall two because yall both hit the jackpot with each other lol. Japanese and mexican are the best foods imho. Love the vids!

Kia ora Taku and Jocelyn. Vietnamese food is one of my favourites, especially with rice noodles. The soup flavours are so yummy.
That bun bo hue spot is legit. I live 3 minutes from there. The best pho in Seattle is at Sup Shop. It's near where you ate pho.
Sourdough Willy’s across the water in Kingston…well worth the ferry ride for the pizza!
Roccos pizza on 2nd Ave is fire! They have interesting flavors, their banh mi pizza being one of my favs :)
For the bun Bo hue place (I’m a local) it is not fish balls. It is pork balls called mop. 😊
The procuitto and arugula pizza at tutta Bella is amazing. The original location is near the bun Bo hue place in Rainer. Check out the pho bac. They have a pho with beef rib. Tutta Bella has really good neopolitan pizza. It's located in the columbia city neighborhood.
I love the Masonry in Lower Queen Anne for Pizza.
The burger at Taurus Ox is supposed to be something special. It is a Laotian place.
I’m a Lao person the burger is good but their thom khem is super tasty. It’s like fancier than traditional Lao food but it’s really solid
LOVE laotian food. We'll need to squeeze that in at some point before we go back to the bay area.
Co-signed. Burger is life changing!

Funny I thought I saw Taku at SeaTac this morning driving but doppelganger 😅 didn't know you're here, have fun
I enjoyed this video style. Maybe also because I’m biased with viet food. It’s the best 😁

The japanese markets in Seattle and LA are so much better than the bay area ones! Ours are way too small.
I totally agree with you on that.@@TaklyntheWorld
Blotto in Caphill for Pizza!
Check out Huong Que deli and cafe. Best banh mi bo kho. It's right there by that bue bo hue
you should try cooking this so we can learn!
I went to a pho spot in South Lake Tahoe while visiting Cali and it was a 3 hour wait so needless to say i didn't get any pho 😢
Their combination pho is good there too
If yall come to San jose, I'll show you a hidden bbh spot 😊
You're in Seattle. Dangit. I have to work
I'd love to meet you two. You coming up north to the Marysville area.
What part of Seattle are you all going to, would love to meet the both of you.
the parts with the one sided audio left only audio channel is driving me nuts, but other than that looks delicious
You guys have to come to orange county, ca for some viet food!
Next time try Bun Bo Hue with the Pho noodles, it’s absorbs the broth better and I prefer the texture over Bun. And Yes I’m Vietnamese.
Tutta Bella is the first certified neapolitan pizza. They have a few branches now.
The bun bo hue didn't die....it multiplied 😂😂😂😂😂
Hey buddy
How long u gunna be around seattle
I live in tacoma I would like to meet you
S/T Hooligans for the best gumbo, hush puppies and fried chicken. Owner is a Filipino brother from Guam. Try Bar del Corso for pizza.
