I grew up in this area and got to eat in a budding Vietnamese town in South Seattle. I lived for years across from Franklin High School in Mount Baker. Maybe you know the area.

I live in Renton. They have a Taku restaurant in Seattle....LoL. This is for Jocelyn. One of the best Mexican spots is Carnitas Michoacan up on Beacon Hill. To good! Enjoy your visit!!!

That's probably the best Bun Bo Hue place in Seattle. Pho My Chau and the dessert place below them are also very good and authentic.

There is a place in Eastside SJ called Boda. They have really good pho and clams with black bean sauce. Yummy 😋

I can honestly say I have never had Vietnamese food. I wonder if these Vietnamese restaurants were there in the 70's and 80's? That was when I lived in Seattle. Thai, Italian and Mexican food. You guys made that sound so good , now I have to find a Vietnamese restaurant.
You need to try vietnamese food! It's some of the best cuisine out there.

Love the videos and also this extra channel is awesome more relax. Thank you. If you guys go to Los Angeles area there is a place in lawndale near El Camino College name pho Hong long that's my go to pho place. Oh the spring roll is the best.

The burger at Taurus Ox is supposed to be something special. It is a Laotian place.
I’m a Lao person the burger is good but their thom khem is super tasty. It’s like fancier than traditional Lao food but it’s really solid

Pizza go to spots: bar del corso (beacon hill), Stevie’s (burien), Windy City pie, moto pizza( if you go at 4:30pm you can see if you can order a pie without having to wait 2 months), post alley pizza, and pizza pulcinella
Kia ora Taku and Jocelyn. Vietnamese food is one of my favourites, especially with rice noodles. The soup flavours are so yummy.

Omg y'all were just in my neck of the woods! I see a lot of people recommending Tutta Bella and they're yummy, but my fave pizza spot is definitely Lupo in Freemont! They do sourdough pizza and make their own chili oil 🔥

Hey - Been in that area off MLK a few times, there's a deli and a decent dim sum place next door in King Plaza. I've been craving bun bo hue lately also. Gonna have to try that place! Peaceful travels!
I am also not a fan of american breakfast. I love a good soup for breakfast instead! (currently eating a ramen at 7am lol) Thanks for sharing; I live in Seattle and am sick of spending too much money trying to find a decent meal, so I've kind of given up and just cook at home except like 3 meals a month. It'll be nice to try these spots out since I trust your palette. : )

Should come fish with Heroes On the Water while you're in WA. We take local Veterans, First Responders and family members out Kayak fishing. We provide all the gear, snacks, drinks, and lunch. We also provide the fishing license for the day for all those participating and volunteering. We recently upgraded our Fleet to Hobie kayaks.

That bun bo hue spot is legit. I live 3 minutes from there. The best pho in Seattle is at Sup Shop. It's near where you ate pho.
the parts with the one sided audio left only audio channel is driving me nuts, but other than that looks delicious
I live like 3 mins from that bun bo hue restuarant and I've never tried it before. Definitely gonna try it soon. I would recommend big Mario pizza, calozzi, burbs burger chinatown has lots of good asian restaurants, also you guys should visit capital hill forsure lots of restaurants and places to visit.

The procuitto and arugula pizza at tutta Bella is amazing. The original location is near the bun Bo hue place in Rainer. Check out the pho bac. They have a pho with beef rib. Mike Chen hit that and it’s good. It’s in china town. If you want a bowl of amazing soup. Check out 19 gold in Fremont. The mala tang surf and turf. It’s amazing. It’s Vancouver bc Asian level quality. Check out 10 second noodle in Bellevue. The crossing the bridge noodles is out of this world.
Dantini Pizza in interbay is the best pizza I tried.
“Blood Cube” those are pig blood. Cambodians eat them with rice porridge. Come out to Long Beach to Cambodia town and try the house special rice porridge at Phnom Penh noodle shack or their second location in Cerritos Ricestring Noodle Shack.
i'd eat your blood cube any day of the month including those days.

Serious Pie has a few locations. Best pizza! Owned by famous Seattle chef Tom Douglas. Lupo in Fremont and Bar Cotto in Capital Hill both have amazing pizzas too.

Zeke's Pizza is pretty good. Local with some variations you won't find at other pizza places. They have several locations in Seattle. By the way, your opening shot was on I-5 in Tacoma, Taku and Jocelyn in my hood!

so cool that you guys are eating something besides the typical pho, summer rolls and banh mi. i wouldn't expect anything less ;) i'm east asian but i don't think i could eat bun bo hue because of the coagulated blood. i'm not very adventurous when it comes to those things. everything else sounds good though. what does banana blossom taste like? i really want to try those tapioca dumplings filled with shrimp.

I went to a pho spot in South Lake Tahoe while visiting Cali and it was a 3 hour wait so needless to say i didn't get any pho 😢
Tutta Bella has really good neopolitan pizza. It's located in the columbia city neighborhood.

Next time try Bun Bo Hue with the Pho noodles, it’s absorbs the broth better and I prefer the texture over Bun. And Yes I’m Vietnamese.

Uwajimaya! I love that place and I think it's better than Marukai and Mitsuwa in Cupertino. I haven't tried any Vietnamese restaurants in Seattle. Amanda & Felix Eats (from Hawaii) also featured Vietnamese restaurants during their visit to Seattle recently and it all looked really good.
BTW, I know you don't go to any East Bay eateries, but if you're ever in the Concord area, you should try Veggie Today. It's a Vietnamese vegan restaurant (I'm not vegan) that makes the best banh xeo I've ever had. They also make the best egg rolls, too. Their bun is also really good.
The japanese markets in Seattle and LA are so much better than the bay area ones! Ours are way too small.
