    Matt is hand cuff Jordan love. Matt is in love with the run game. He and shanahan sometimes get in way of passing game success.

    The Packers faced third-and-five in the final two minutes of the first half. They had three timeouts. They have a dependable tight end. They'd already coughed it up and turned it over on downs. They were driving. They needed at least three points, because the Vikes got the second-half kickoff. So what does Love do? He chucks the ball downfield into double coverage. He seems inclined toward hero-ball when it isn't required. MLF needs to change that.

      If you go back and look at that exact play the deep safety ever so slightly breaks in to the inside receiver and then immediately changes course back outside to Melton. The look the safety gave made it seem melton would have a 1 on 1. With that being said, MLF doesn’t need to be calling 20 yard route trees on 3rd and 5. It was situationally a terrible play call. MLF did that a lot this game

    • @BlessedDelight1
      @BlessedDelight1 17 днів тому

      @ we need to be better at getting smaller gains to open up bigger gains. A great example was the game versus Miami and Seattle. Check downs, jet sweep PA and quick pass screens.

  • @packers12to80
    @packers12to80 18 днів тому +5

    Love has to take the check down passes quicker and stop trying to wait for the" big play" we got talented rbs...let them cook. Stop going thru progressions several times....throw it to that check down immediately and it will be a easy 3-5 yards if not a big play!

    One key thing Love could've done to help the team out before running out the pocket was to just......... move UP in the pocket🤦🏿. He either faded off his back foot OR he dropped back and sat in that one spot. It was a hard watch 😢💚💛 #GPG

    • @sakthithanigai5036
      @sakthithanigai5036 15 днів тому

      There’s a lot of things Jordan love needs to improve at, pocket presence and movement is something he’s quite possibly the best in the league at. I don’t think that’s the issue.

    • @whereswaldo6396
      @whereswaldo6396 14 днів тому

      He does tend to fade away and make throws harder for no reason but at the same time he does have some very good pocket movement other times but I agree with the video he would be so much more dangerous if he scrambled more. I think every qb who is even remotely athletic should add that to their game

    I was thinking the same thing the past few games. Threatening and executing QB runs will be one of the strongest ways to get these defenses out of their bully man coverages. We also need to get away from the long developing plays on third downs for manageable yardage situations.

  • @apope06
    @apope06 18 днів тому +2

    I think j love is being trained as a pocket passer. And I think him learning and building on that style of play extends his career and dominance. They did the same with mahomes. Mahomes is just as much a threat injured in the pocket now. Versus Caleb Williams who is over reliant on the run and can't read a defense.

    Jordan love absolutely is either saving his running for playoffs or he still has the injury in the back of his mind and either it’s prone to get hurt quicker because of how quick he came back to play that might be the reason why he’s still not running we probably are still seeing a 90% Jordan love

  • @paulallen3617
    @paulallen3617 17 днів тому

    Personally I’d have Jordan Run selectively. Playoffs only be thinking 2-3 Runs adding latitude if he goes Divisional or beyond. Many of those runs are him avoiding a sack for a 1 yarder. So Jordan last year was in that 4.94 per carry. Which is actually very good at QB.

  • @patrickmccarthy2050
    @patrickmccarthy2050 17 днів тому

    Jordan has been banged up all year he can pick up some of those plays with his legs yes but if the receivers catch the ball he doesn’t have to run. Let’s see how things go in the playoffs

    You asked a question. The answer is in the last 8 games last season Jordan rushed 19 for 65 yards. He had 2 TD’s but also lost 3 Fumbles. He wasn’t very successful as a whole. It got worse in postseason he had 6 Runs for 2 yards. He fumbled but recovered by GB. I do think he can Run selectively. The first 9 games in 2023 he was much better. 9 games=31X172 yards with 2 TD. 5.5 carry. That’s exceptional

    Love needs a real #1 receiver. He drops back and his receivers if not schemed open take forever to get open. Go out and get a real true X in tee Higgins. All the elite QB’s have a number 1 threat and he’s got who, Jayden reed ? Leading the league in drops?

      That’s why Watson is so important, he’s the only true burner that we have to take the top off the defense, and that open up the offense even more for Jacobs, Reed & Doubs to get going which makes it easier for Love

    It would be dumb to take many chances running in a Week 17 game that means almost nothing when the playoffs are so near. An injury to Love is far worse to the team than a loss

    • @ahastar1141
      @ahastar1141 18 днів тому

      I wouldn’t say it’s meaningless. This would have been a big momentum win for the packers going into the playoffs. I think scrambling for a few yards and sliding would have been low risk

    • @jasonjanisewski78
      @jasonjanisewski78 18 днів тому

      @ahastar1141 I actually think the loss helps them. If MIN gets the #1 Seed, that would have GB going to MIN in Round 2. It doubly works out if GB can raise to the 6 Seed and force a DET/PHI Round 2 matchup

    • @ahastar1141
      @ahastar1141 18 днів тому +1

      @@jasonjanisewski78 I hear you, but if they were to end up the 7 if both they and Washington wins this week, Philly on the road would be a very tough starting match up. Nobody wants that match up, though maybe Washington could feel ok going into that. Losing makes getting to round 2 extremely difficult if they get stuck at 7. Just getting to that MN or Detroit match up would be tough
      If they had won, they’d have been 6 or maybe 5 looking at a TB, Atlanta, or rams match up in the wild card.
      I understand that in the grand scheme it didn’t matter much vs match ups, but I think having 5 losses to 3 teams you will see again in the playoffs is not a great vibe heading into the wild card.

    All the top QBs make back breaking scambles for 1st downs in todays league. It weird thats not in his bag. I havent seen enough of Love to put him on that top tier with todays greats. I need to see him in the playoffs 1 more time.

  • @Anthonysobon
    @Anthonysobon 17 днів тому

    I know everyone hates him now but that was something Rodgers was very good at. It does feel weird when you can see Love is bigger then Rodgers and he was watched him do it for enough time as well. I do think Love is talented but he playing sloppy at times in big games , I do wish The Packers would have grabbed Fields or even Lance just to see but get since Love was already signed.
    The post season will just come down to if he can pull it together or not , when playing good to great he does Give The Packers a legit shot.

  • @jimjohnson7764
    @jimjohnson7764 17 днів тому

    Our game plan relies to much on big pass plays to score. This leads to boom or bust drives where we either score quickly with big plays or struggle to move the ball consistently. We need to utilize Kraft like Brady used Gronk and Mahomes uses Kelce. Like him or not even Brady asked why the Packers don't throw to Kraft more. "I've thrown to Gronk a thousand times". They were unstoppable. You don't need the fastest receiver in the league to score. Watson is injury prone and his speed will diminish over time. Ask Stafford who he targeted the most in SB LVI win. It was Cooper Kupp who was also SB MVP.

    Against these good teams, it looks like the Packers struggle just to make simple plays. A drag route that should be easy 5-6 yards looks hard for them to do. But when those teams play the Packers defense, at times they make it look like one on one drills with no offensive or defensive lines..

    • @JWLSports
      @JWLSports  18 днів тому +2

      I don’t know how vulnerable his knee is anymore. And no one is saying he should be power running like Lamar or Allen. And having a QB run when the lanes are open is different than a rushing attack. Not sure what’s “toxic”
