- Cast and creatives of CBS's "Young Sheldon" (Chuck Lorre, Steve Holland, Steven Molaro, Iain Armitage, Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Annie Potts, Montana Jordan, Raegan Revord, Emily Osment) gather with moderator Melissa Peterman at PaleyFest 2024 to celebrate their show. Topics include: how the idea for a prequel to "The Big Bang Theory" first came to Lorre; why the "miracle casting" of Armitage was essential to the project moving forward; the difficulty of making changes to the narrative previously established on "Big Bang Theory"; how Lorre attracted guest stars like Reba McEntire, Craig T. Nelson, and Wallace Shawn to the show; lessons that veteran actor Potts passed on to her younger co-stars; the upcoming return of "Big Bang" veterans Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik; what each actor will take as a memento from the set; and the panelists' feelings as they prepare for the series finale.
Lance Barber was a perfect George, kind ,compassionate.
Liar that’s what everyone says they say this actor was great for this character
They never talk about when he did guest role on TBBT. I think that’s kinda strange.
My favourite.
@@jillhorvat1730it would be stupid if they did.
He was also Leonard’s bully.
"honey, the tornado took my house" I LOVE YOU, ANNIE 💖💖

Brenda peaked as a Moderator. She nailed it.
Melissa ❤
Melissa Peterman also has her own game show on fox on at 2:30pm-3pm eastern standard time game show person place or thing she also hosts that trivia game
She truly did. As the video went on, I was like, "wow! She's doing a better job than a number of panel hosts I've watched in the past. Excellent! (And, love her hair like that.)"
She peaked as Billy's mother.. her character showed a down to earth strong woman
Melissa Peterman was a great moderator. I loved, love, and will always love her character ‘Brenda’, who was an excellent foil for Zoe Perry’s ‘Mary’.
I am not able to process this. He was one of my most favourite character in life. A brilliant father who raised an exceptional child. A true hero and hardworking man. I really loved him and connected with him. He was a role model for Sheldon and so many other people around the world. I still don't have any words for this immense grief. A loss of an fictional character still gives a scar just like we lost our family member, which says a lot about how much his character meant to me and has always been. He made me laugh and he had the best reaction. The series is already ending but this gives you a grief to another level. George Cooper forever! Love you always man, Georgie Sr. 🥺🫂.
It makes me sad that TBBT made George sound so horrible.
It's a wee bit sad - but it's a TV show(!!)
Ian became Sheldon through the years, intelligence and quirks and all.
The finale was extraordinary, I cried my way through. We all know what a challenge it is for popular series to land well, and I have to say, with the BBT finale and now this one, these producers are amazing. The way Sheldon experiences his father’s death rang so true for many people, with how much we often want to go back to relive the last moments with loved ones more perfectly, I couldn’t believe it. I think I started crying in the first 5 minutes and kept it up throughout that first half hour. So many small moments. What a gift.
I'm 72 and I watch young sheldon every chance I get. I love this show and all the coopers,McAllister, meemaw. All of them.
I love the tone of Lance's real voice. He was my favorite character and I hated that he died on the show!
Young Sheldon is the only show we watch on network or cable tv. As my husband says almost every week “this is the sweetest show on television”. And, I cried during George’s funeral as if I was really there and someone I love had died.
I agree. I've never been a big sitcom watcher. Haven't owned a TV in 40 years. Didn't even know about this show but it keeps popping up on UA-cam so in the last few days I've binge watched clips. Really sweet show - phenominal writers. Writers don't get enough credit.
Hello
that episode made me cry the whole time I watched it. I remembered when my dad passed away 10years ago, and I never got to tell him I love him. and I think that episode was my parting farewell from me to him.
I think so! It's a great show in the last time
Me too 😢😢
I am glad that someone asked how Ian memorized his lines! he has so much to memorize. Imagine being a 9 year old having to memorize all of that !!
He’s a bright young man!
I can’t count how many times I’ve watched TBBT…..it’s been there for me in some incredibly difficult times of my life. The laughter will always be there in my very soul. Many thanks to all of you for this show…..❤️💫❤️
Finding Ian Armitage to perfectly play young Sheldon is as unlikely as finding David Hyde Pierce to play Niles Crane, and both gave existing characters a second life.
My only disappointment was that “Coach” Craig T. Nelson was not on stage with them! I love that guy!😂
So many favorite episodes. The brisket episode is our family's favorite. I still laugh when I see it on re-runs. 'Connie, you evil .....' I also loved the episode where Sheldon put plastic around the garage and suited up in the spacemen outfit over germs. Memaw comes out there with cookies. 'Hey Moonpie.' So sweet, and funny. And then Annie Potts starts laughing. Great TV show. I didn't watch much 'Bang' back in the day, but after 'Young Sheldon' came out I went back and watched all of 'Big Bang'
Also worth noting, Montana Jordan hails from the same hometown (Longview, Texas) as Matthew McConaughey and Forest Whitaker.
Montanna,Georgie really has that accent! I love it!
He's a true Texasan.
I loved George Cooper. He took a lot of flack from everyone in the family. A good hearted character. I will miss him!❤
This is gonna make me cry
Lance was my favorite too, Melissa. Then Georgie, then Meemaw. This was one fantastic family0friendly sitcom, even though we rewatch the TBBT all the time. I can see where you wouldn't have had to watch TBBT to jump right into Young Sheldon and understand the storyline.
I loved how Meemaw treated Mandy like her 4th Grandchild and Father Jim made Georgie “Dr. Tire”. What a great show Young Sheldon was. I thought the last 2 seasons were better than the first 5.
I'm definitely gonna miss this show. I thought it was gonna be lonely after TBBT show ended but THIS SHOW FILLED THAT GAP. Hope the writers and producers will create another show to keep us entertained.
this show was PERFECTLY CASTED.
everyone is perfectly bond.
Lance without the accent is killing me
And without his dark hair
Raegan and Annie have such a beautiful relationship
Raegan is such a sweetie. The "I love you" to Melissa when she walked on stage
I needed to see Lance alive... Man did you made me cry.
This show has opened my eyes on so many things
Still in numb shock I will go back thru every year of every other daytime and late night talk show and watch them all over again of this entire cast an era that never should've come to a close
I read that Annie Potts was particularly upset when they told the cast they were ending the show. She felt there was plenty more life in it. It’s true - but the kids are growing up, and soon young Sheldon wouldn’t be so young.
Zoë Perry had the most fantastic looks and resctions!
I think that this group of actors and actresses are some of the best genuine wonderful people cast in a show together (like the friends cast).. ❤❤❤
Love them all but Annie and Montana are my favorite. But all fantastic.
I truly enjoy watching all seasons of Young Sheldon. It is the very first full American TV Shows/Series I have ever watched and fall in love with
I find it amazing that we can be so close to the cast of young sheldon. In the last few episodes I really cried. And I don't show my emotions very often. It was a very special moment. Always will be in my memories❤
I don't think I am ready to watch the finale this Thursday. This is heartrending, indeed. 🥺
I thought it was Tuesday
Lance and Raegan they are my favourite❤
The thing I like about the cast is that they seem like regular, ordinary humans. Not Hollywood stars.
They should have had Billy on the panel ! He was a big part in it as well.
Just watched it in my lunch break, wish ya all the best of luck and success for the upcoming future. It was an honor to watch this great show and I'm already missing it 😢 😭
We are watching young Sheldon from MANILA PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
We all need to get a petition for bloopers and everyone sign it!!!
It's been a fantastic 6 years, I wish it went on longer. The whole big bang theory universe has been a positive light in my life. I hope maybe they have ideas on another BBT show maybe that'd be awesome
Is Branda a comedian in real life??? Love her!!!
Also the Liberian girl and all the teachers in high school were hilarious!
Have you seen the US version of the sitcom Ghosts? Danielle Pinnock, who plays Alberta on that show, used to play one of Sheldon's teachers.
FYI - There was an episode of Magnum PI (Season 1, episode 10 - “Lest We Forget”, 1981) that starred June Lockhart and Jose Ferrer. Both of the actors’ children (Anne Lockhart and Miguel Ferrer) played the characters in flashback scenes.
One of my favorites from Magnum.
Cast was perfect. The guest stars were great. Honestly Chuck Lorre is having a great run. Now the Georgie spinoff. The adventure goes into uncharted territory.
Excellent panel. Love the show. Hoping the next segment of their lives with Georgie and Mandy keeps it all going.
Iain truly is the perfect Sheldon. He’s studied Jim’s mannerisms perfectly
I really hope Annie Potts' character will be in the spin off
Wonderful show! Amazing cast! I love the Cooper family!
FINALLY I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Great cast! And I just love to hear georgie( Montana) talk, love his accent!!
The Coopers are my favorite family
Just saw the finale part 1 today. I AM HERE... always
Finale part 1 has not even released bro
@@theotherone341Finale consists of 2 parts: 11 & 12 is part 1 And 13 & 14 is second part.
Episode 11 and 12 has already been out. Now I am waiting for part 2: episodes 13 and 14
@@Kai-Kaci that is literally not how it works 🤣
@@theotherone341 I put it like that for my mind. Nothing wrong with that for me.
I wished all the professor character actors were there too cause they had Arwin from sweet life Zack and Cody and they had the original voice of Rex from toy story
Ya'll got ME cryin!!! 😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
Who remembers Hanna Montana? Emily was her best Friend on the series.
I do
I do, my first Disney celebrity crush I was 8-9yrs old when it was released/aired
I'm 24 now man time flys
Yep, liked her better than Miley tbh.
she was so good on the show
I wish for Season 13 of the Big Bang Theory
I wish most of the cast from TBBT like Kailey Cuoco as Penny appears in the final episode. I wish to see Leonard Cooper, Sheldon and Amy’s son
Kaley not kailey
Love you lance ❤
I'm the one who started watching Young Sheldon first then the Big Bang Theory later. I found Sheldon is a fascinating character and now I'm a big fan of both shows. Each Sheldon has their own distinctive on-screen chemistry, we can't argue who is better, just simply love them both.
Well done on many levels. a classic
really love this family...i can't move on after finish all series
Lance Barber is my favourite in the show Young Sheldon. Lots of love from India😍😍😍
MUCH more appropriate that Annie thanked the writers! It came over as SO patronising when Iain did it.
Well he is young
This whole episode was so great and Linda the scientist is super cute and it was so great to see the whole cast of Young Sheldon❤
I love Zoe Perry's legs
I wanna watch more your scene I like it so much and always watching it.
What a cast! ♥
Interesting at 26.47. it's as though they were trying to get Annie to say her favourite guest star was Reba - but she went for Craig T Nelson!
I loved this show and TBBT! Wonderful TV!! 💖
There are other characters that played a big part in the series' and character's development and maybe should have at least warranted a mention - Isabel May as Veronica Duncan, Mckenna Grace as Paige Swanson, Wyatt McClure as Billy Sparks, Wendie Malick as President Hagemeyer, Doc Farrow as Coach Wayne Wilkins, Rex Linn as Principle Peterson, Ryan Phuong as Tam, and many others.
I hope the producers will do a special on the last table read and a special with all the writers - the writers really did an AMAZING job.
There is a video on UA-cam of the last Big Bang Theory table read. VERY emotional. Maybe we'll get a video of the last Young Sheldon table read.
Ive been in love with Annie since she picked up the phone and barked "what do you want" in ghost busters...it was wonderful to see her again in a series with depth of character. Gonna miss her if she doesnt show up in the Mandy and Georgie spin off...which was not at all talked about here.
I watched this great serial show during a difficult period for my family, which also culminated in the death of our grandmother at the end of the series, for me this is a special series. My grandmother died the day I received my bachelor's degree and I couldn't even make her happy about it. My inner Sheldon has lost, not his father but meemaw. Legendary series, as a native serial too. This American story means so much for me. From Russia with love
Watching Young Sheldon in Netflix and love tbe story ❤
I miss the family dinners when I was growing up-and all through high school. We all had our places at the table.
54:35 The sweet, sweet look of total embarrassment on Regan's face after Annie told that story, like... I can't 😭😭
That's the best story in this whole video...
When i was little i would play with my grandma's arm skin also lol that is too funny 55:40
I really enjoyed that
"She can't do it, she's like 12" PLEASE LMAO
😢the Coopers will always be a favorite family….
I would not have watched all 7 seasons of YS if it wasn't for Annie Potts as Meemaw. She was a hoot.
🇱🇰 i love yong sheldon. That is nice show.
Anyone remember melissa Peterman from Reba when Abc Family was Abc Family like this comment
Yes watched Reba

This is the only show iam watching over and over again in netflex.
We may not see another show like this again.
Facts
Georgie and Mandy will have their own show.
I love all them awesome
I’m so surprised that Lance doesn’t speak with a Texas accent when off-screen!
I want what Iain and Reagan have as they have a wonderful bond as Reagan said herself that they are so similar and are like twins
Can't believe it's been seven years already
It’s Wonderful I’m 63 watched on you tube shorts. I never watched Big Bang. Keep Reba and Dale.
I'm a season behind...on purpose...I hate commercials, but... I'm having the hardest time thinking of watching the last two episodes...I just cry thinking about it. I'm not one of those people....but they have beautifully created an show that moves people.
Annie Potts is beloved.
I’ve watched this incredible interview done by Mellisa Peterson asking each character( person) about whatever questions that’s probably on her paper she’s got in her lap. 👍😀This is really good! Watch/tune into this.
This show is the best
Lance Barber is so shy compared to George Cooper
lovely family❤
There’s alot of really interesting questions & answers that they shared with us (everybody) that Mellisa came up with for every single one of these people. And I’m really gonna miss this series as well. They given a real chit-chat about their (past) series, this is well worth the time spent. Enjoy.
Mary is and always will be my favorite Cooper 🩷
Im not crying you are
this is so cute i'm smiling so hard i love thisss and themm
IVE BEEN DREADING TO SEE THIS
Me2
Where’s Billy Sparks?
Will need to wait a long time to see this last season in the UK!
I love Zoe
I asked the question many times, but there was no answer. Why did the writers make Cooper Sr. to die? For what?
