I am in the same boat, over 30 and unemployed currently. Also being very depressed and feeling useless. I think its better to be patient and when time is right it will happen.
I am so sorry that you are going through a tough time! Exercising will help to some degree due to endorphin release and enhanced serotonin but obviously depression is a very serious condition! What is your support network like? That is so important! I was lucky enough to never experience unemployment throughout my working life so can’t imagine what that must do to your self esteem not to mention your motivation! I just happened to stumble on this. I am a counsellor so do let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Take care!
Hey Sophie, I’m really sorry you're going through this. I’m 21, and I have anxiety. My self-esteem has always been low, and it’s gotten worse lately because life hasn’t gone the way I hoped. Even though I’ve been trying hard, I’m not getting the grades I want in college, and I haven’t found a job either. I just want you to know you’re not alone, and I truly hope with all my heart that things get better for you. If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be this: don’t be too hard on yourself thinking you’re not enough, because life is 90% luck.
Sometimes the world seems a daunting place. But keep positive things can change on a dime you come across as a capable young lady good luck stick with it.
I don't know why the algorithm sent me to this video, but I'll take it as a sign to send you good vibes and best wishes for you. Things go rough and they always bounce back. But it might be a bit. I'm sorry this is happening.
At least you're not single. Things would be worse for you if you had no one, and if no one wanted you. Consider streaming on Twitch, whether its playing a game, or doing IRL content, or cooking, or ASMR. Girls make a lot of money streaming there. ☕
Have you tried applying to schools as an exam invigilator ? I am going to be working for one school admittedly 30mins drive away and only at min wage, but another school wants me for an interview there just 15mins away. Meanwhile, I do online technical courses via my LinkedIn monthly subscription to increase my skillset.
@@Sophwaffles 1.Reliable 2.Pass DBS check for criminality 3. Attentive. 4. On time. My last school was a 20-something well tattooed chap, nicely dressed who when not invigilating was working nights unloading lorries in Grimsby so besides passing an interview at the school, that's about it and you look like a good candidate. Now is Mock season for exams.
Maybe have some children. That's a more rewarding job than these dead end ones. Then you also have time for creative pursuits at home. My mum raised me and still had time for her painting.
@@Sophwaffles Oh right, fair. That seems to be the trend these days, esp in the West. My point was just in response to these contract jobs you were taking, that raising a child can be very rewarding, takes you out of yourself and orients you to living in the present and towards the future. You also learn a lot about yourself. It's like watching a genetic bit of yourself grow up in another person.

@@GlamPatrisha Im sorry to hear you’re struggling too. I like to believe things happen for a reason, but it’s hard to be patient!
sorry things are so hard atm. I have MH issues to so understand. Keep going, you're clearly intelligent no doubt people will see that in an interview!
@@Sciencehub_channel Bless you, I’m beginning to question my intelligence as I’ve been let go from a couple of jobs now!😔
@@Sophwaffles having a super overactive mind makes staying focused and making a routine really hard. Please don't think it makes you unintelligent!

Thank you for your comment.
Luckily, I do have a great support network and people who really care about me.❤
@ That’s good to hear and so important to have! Take care and I hope things start to improve for you soon!

gl with things. everyone goes through sh*t in their life.
On the bright side if you keep hitting new lows eventually you'll end up on the other side in Australia.

Oh that sounds interesting! What kind of skills or experience do you need to be an invigilator?
