- My team of 7 racing pigeons came home and brought more racing pigeons with them. At first, I thought that the large flock was just passing by, but then they started circling the area. I definitely didn’t expect to see something like that, but I enjoyed watching them fly though! 👍🏼🙂💪

lol hey that happens to me once in a blue moon also. That’s what they call stock banging in New York and New Jersey, they fly their birds together and see how many they can pull from the other lofts.
Stock banging?! Wow that’s nice name haha! Yea it caught me by surprise when my birds got back man. A flock of 30 plus birds showed up! 🤷♂️

They came back and both of them were wounded! Btw, have you tried tossing your birds? I think that might help them fly longer and farther. What do you think?
@@gpsloft5868 I haven't tried tossing yet because I thought I had to wait until they were ranging for 30 to 40 min. before I do that. Last season things went more smoothly. I don't know what's up this year But i'm about to strangle some birds! haha. They did slightly better today but I am now on the roof with the flag - no fun this way bro. You think tossing will help?

But yeah, if and when your birds come home late from a toss they had flown before, it’s because of that, they fly into other groups of birds and waste time flying in circles. The sorry ones will land and the good ones will ignore them and fly straight home.
That’s a good point brother! My two birds are back now btw. Both of them are wounded smh. Well, I’m just glad they made it home. From the way it look I don’t think I’m going to have enough birds for the race in September. 😕
@@gpsloft5868 you don't need too many birds to win, just 5 good birds and you can still get to the top of the list. teach them to break away from other birds constantly and you'll be ok.
