      Natesh S Have you seen Venus? She's been nothing but gracious.

    • @natesh999
      @natesh999 7 років тому +7

      I never said they were not gracious, so is Nole, Rafa, Murray, in fact if you remove the odd outliers, most modern day players can be easily classified as gracious. But I am not talking about just being nice here, its his personality and way he honestly answers everything without any affected mannerisms. I guess that is why he has more fans and support than any other player around ...

    • @solomonvisigoth3356

      +Religious-Democratic Socialist first volley rafa wins a lot because his top spin approach shot already set it up. But federer,,even without a powerful approach shot, he can volley amazingly both first and second volleys.

    • @solomonvisigoth3356
      @solomonvisigoth3356 7 років тому

      +Religious-Democratic Socialist lol you must be on crack, kid. Rafa better at volleying? Have you watched him won a volley to volley rally? Those volleys that you consider good were after approach shots where the enemies were on the other side of the court, those were easy volleys. Rarely! I understand why you think he is a good volleyer, but to say he is better than roger is out of this world. I would maybe consider your point had you said Zverev is superior.

    • @TheAsianDude888
      @TheAsianDude888 7 років тому +12

      Federer did beat Zverev, who is the person that defeated Murray. So in my opinion, Federer would have gotten to the finals regardless.

    • @DaProHobbit
      @DaProHobbit 7 років тому

      Zverev played the match of his life against Murray though, he was extraordinary. Murray could've beaten him on any other day. Congrats to Federer though, another Nadal-Federer final would be amazing.

    • @samy29987
      @samy29987 7 років тому +1

      Murray was too passive. He let Zverev come in and be aggresive at any time he wanted, because his style is more of a baseline grinder that occasionally goes to the net. His passing shots weren't on point therefore Zverev took advantage.
      Federer is another animal, because he likes to put the pressure on you almost every point he can. He likes to go to the net with almost every ball, whether its of his serve, of a return, of a good shot, or a slice. That means Zverev had to pass and DEFEND against Roger most of the time, which is not his style. That is why Roger outplayed Zverev. Murray read the match the wrong way, he played with fire trusting his defensive skilss and got burned.
      Like Sean Barber said. Every match is different, every day is different, every opponent is different.

    Glad to see Roger back in a GS final after 6 month off, that's amazing.
    Very strange match today, Federer played well in the first two sets then he literally stop playing, making tons of errors and his backhand was terrible.
    The fifth set could have gone both ways, but there Roger was stronger on decisive points.
    Federer will need to play far better in the final if he wants to win his eighteen major.
    Come On Maestro !

      +computermaster Roger has a record of underperforming in finals in recent years, so not sure why you seem so confident

      Besides Roger underperforming, he knows this is one of his last chances to win a GS, so he'll have even more pressure now that he is in it. Alongside that, if Nadal reaches the final, he will try to make it physical and with long rallies to wear Roger down. I don't know why Fed fans want Nadal in the final. Besides ''nostalgia'', the matchup is even worse now that years have passed, since Federer's physical condition is not the best, he can't cover all the court and can't defend the same as years back.
      I don't know how everyone is so excited and confident Roger will win if Rafa goes through. I'm rooting for Dimitrov all the way, and if Rafa wins, it's game over.

      Dude, Nadal never lost against Federer in Australian Open. What makes you think Fed can do it now?

    It is good to see Roger acknowledging not only Rafa's greatness, but also addressing some facts about their H2H beyond the simplistic view that Nadal is a better player, because the numbers favor him.

    A statue needs to be erected on this man's honour before he even finishes his playing career. We're looking at a living, breathing legend.

    I must admit I never really liked him as a person, but he is a fantastic player. What he said about my hero Rafa, made me like him a bit more. Thank you Roger! But still, I would love to see Rafa win the title! ( If he gets to the final!)

    I find tennis players are honest in their interviews, but unlike NFL and NBA pro players, they get the interview and press thing down...much smoother...
