These were the days man... Colin Kaepernick was actually good and didn't kneel for the national anthem, ray rice actually played and didnt beat his girlfriend, Ray Lewis' last game, Aaron Hernandez wasn't a killer off the field, and back when Joe Flacco was actually good...
Kap had a bromance with Crabtree. Unfortunately Crabtree is overrated. There bromance continued the following season when they lost to the Seahawks the same way.
This is the first game I watched on my birthday this year I am a die hard ravens fan, and this is arguably their best game of all time. I hope they make a run this year
"My 9th game is the Super Bowl and I'm a bad ass so I'm just gonna find Crabtree 5 times in a row because that will fool everyone". I never sleep on Bmore. As a Lions fan I'm usually forced to choose a surrogate team by January. It's usually the Ravens. That Flacco just turns into a total beast when the playoffs start. Besides my navy blue Brady jersey- a Black n Purple Lewis jersey and a white Flacco jersey are the only non-Lions in my closet. No QB is better in the clutch than Joe Flacco. I know I will take shit for saying that but it's true. He becomes a man possessed when the shit hits the fan. If he had a little bit more help from his line- he would have won in Foxborough last Jan. and the Colts couldn't have stopped him.
Tony Starks You cant hate on Kap too much for who he threw to in this game at the end. The dumbass Greg Roman kept picking pass plays so Kap kept throwing to his best receiver. That last play where he overthrew Crabtree was such bull.. IF his oline had held more then a half a second he wouldnt have overthrown him. Literally as soon as the ball is snapped someone is passed the line and in Kaps face.
I can hate on Kap all I want. You don't target the same guy 5 consecutive downs and expect to score a TD. The only thing I'll credit him for is not getting picked off by that Ravens defense. Crabtree isn't Megatron, and any pass catcher on your offense is a valid target, that's why they get paid so much. Randy Moss was in 2 of those formations. His hands are FAR more sticky than Crabs, regardless of age, he may have lost a step, but speed isn't necessarily required in a red zone passing attack. Vernon Davis was in there too. When he tried to hit Crabtree the 3rd time I giggled. By the 5th attempt I was already debating what I should buy w the money I was sure to win. They got a free 1st down and everything. He should have took the game into his own hands like he did against Atlanta in the NFCC. He's a good QB, but trying to pass the buck off on the coaching staff is laughable. ESPECIALLY considering how good that SF coaching was.
Great game! A very pivotal play looking back is at 10:25: 31-29 Ravens, 3rd an 9 on their own 21 with 8:35 left in the game, and they call PI on Culliver. Torrey Smith pushed off first, but they got Culliver, and 1st down for the Ravens.
For the Kaepernick supporters arguing that him guiding the 49ers to this Super Bowl is enough of a reason for someone to sign him, remember this game was played over SEVEN YEARS AGO. Hardly any of the players from both teams are still in the league (9 from the Ravens, 7 from the 49ers) and fewer are still starters. Based on your logic, someone should sign Mark Sanchez since he guided the Jets to back to back AFC title games in 2009 and 2010.
It's a combination of reasons. He should only be signed if he can still play well (obviously), but teams will also take into consideration the fact that he once led a team to the SB and played well during that run.
@@mathgodpiextras You may want to reread the part about that Super Bowl run being from seven years ago. Plus, it makes no sense to sign someone who hasn't played a down in 4 yrs. Even a year away from the game is too much. That's why I don't expect much from Aldon Smith and Gronk.
@@finchborat Reread the part where I said he still has to be able to play well and prove himself in camp. That said, experience of leading a team a is valuable asset, no matter how long ago it was.
@@mathgodpiextras If he could still play, he might've been signed after that tryout last year. If it weren't for George Floyd getting killed, no one in the sports media would be calling for him to get signed to a team. Also, that asset loses its value if it's been so long since the team did anything. The "Kaep led the 49ers to a Super Bowl" argument had some legitimacy 3 yrs ago, but that argument has been pretty weak from 2018 on. People also cite his 4-2 playoff record. Mark Sanchez was 4-2 in the playoffs too and his market wasn't all that good when he was available.
@@finchborat I would argue that Sanchez never had a season where he played at an elite level. Kaepernick was elite in the 2012-13 season & playoffs. How much of that player still remains? Time will tell... But I think it's foolish to ignore the fact that teams wouldn't sign him after 2016 due to his political speech & gestures; he could still play. His 2016 stats were decent.
Real zPUNKz Lost Jim and half your team. Now all you have is Kap and Ron Jeremy. Have fun replacing the Rams in the NFC West basement as you watch Arizona become Seattle's new rival XD
RBJR9 Woah woah woah. judgmental much? Not once did I mention I was a 49er fan, I just visualize the niners at least going 8-8 this season. As for the Cardinals they had a great season that ended rather quickly but it's about time they've at least qualified the playoffs. They have a solid team but just like various teams in the NFL they weren't able to get the job done.
A non-biased fan would have said the same thing. If Gore had ran for at least 2 plays, either the 49ers would have scored or they would have been closer to the goal line.
Everyone seems to forget the blackout in this game. I live in CA, where everyone is either a Niner or Raider fan (some Rams and Steelers)... And EVERY niner fan tells me they were a play away from winning. The truth is Baltimore's momentum was killed after that rigged blackout. The NFL knew that people would change the channel and stop watching the game. They had to do something, and that was the best they could do, to hope for a Niner comeback.
Just think: the 2012 ravens had to get thru the manning led broncos in the divisional round AND the Brady led patriots at home on the afc championship to get to the super bowl. They were NOT losing.
To the people calling holding on that safety play, yes there was holding, but Ravens were genius for doing that. Obviously if your holding it makes blocking easier, so they did that to give the punter more time in the endzone to run the clock down as much as they could, if they didn't hold then the play probably would of been shorter and the punter wouldn't of had as much time, so they held to give him more time. Now if they called the penalty then either A half the distance to the goal replay 4th down, and in that scenario 49ers would of just declined it and it would be as if it never happened. Or B which is probably what would of happened is that it would be an automatic safety and the clock would of just stayed where it was and the penalty would of just been on the kickoff and again he would of had to return the kick for a TD in order to win with only a few secs left. So Ravens were genius for that, because again it wouldn't of made a difference in either case.
That's what i said in part B, it would be automatic safety but the clock still would of ran down to the few secs that were left and yep they were genius for doing it!
Baalke and Co. not only got rid of the Niners' best head coach since Seifert, they also let most of the team's best players leave through free agency, and helped push others into early retirement (see: Patrick Willis). I mean, out of Crabtree, Boldin, and Gore, they couldn't keep even *one* of those guys?
You missed some amazing years with Reed and Lewis. Amazing defense and pretty solid offense back in the day. This year is making me pretty happy and reminding me of these glory days.
It’s laughable that Kaepernick can’t be on a 2019 roster, when he was in a Super Bowl, while there are still a few starting QBs in the league that are clearly worse than him.
This was in 2013. It's 2020. He was terrible in 2016 when he last played. Teams put up with headache players and media distractions when there's enough talent to offset it. No one would want to deal with this mess from a backup QB. Not to mention, Kaepernick has no desire to play as he's more concerned about being a SJW martyr.
I’m just saying there are teams that could use him and they have had players far more controversial than Kaep. Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt are on rosters for worse things and could be cut without it affecting their seasons. It’s just wild that assault is more forgiving than kneeling during a song. Steelers probably even lost out on a playoff spot by not signing him.
@@gorrow1990 "Kneeling during a song." The National Anthem isn't just a song my guy. It symbolizes everything the fathers of our country fought for, everything they did just so we could be free to do what we want. Playing the National Anthem before a football reminds everyone that without the sacrifice they made, we couldn't play this game today. Also, Nick' creates so much drama, it's like putting Antonio Brown at QB. Not worth it. It'll split the team apart. It worked before he knelt for the anthem, not after.
It’s a song with plenty of symbolism but at the end of the day a song is what it is. We could do without it. I don’t care much for the open expressions of supposed patriotism. Patriotism is doing what you believe is right to improve other’s lives, not saying how much you love the current state of the country even when there are obvious things that need to be changed. And it was actually a veteran who told Kaep to kneel instead of sitting on the bench like he planned. Him sitting would have been a worse look IMO. I don’t get the AB comparison at all though bc AB messed up so he had he might be incarcerated soon. The worst thing Kaep did was peacefully protest.
xA P 0 S t A TE - I’ve always wondered what REALLY happened. Pretty suspicious about the timing of it. And I just KNEW at the time that it was somehow going to help the 9ers comeback.
I'm a giant fan but flacco IMO is underrated.he doesn't put up great stats and he's an ok season qb,good enough to get u to the playoffs but when he gets there he can get u to the big game and win the SB.hes been to 3 afc title games 10 playoff wins, played good enough to make the SB in 2011 and is a road warrior.also best win pct for first seven years for an qb I heard.and no the d didn't carry him that year he had to put up points to win.over 30 twice and he played luck brady manning and 49ers d clearly he needed to play well which he did or else they would've lost lol
Extremely underrated, but it can't be helped. People have a clearly defined image of what an NFL QB should be. Often forgot, Flacco's last three postseasons: Dropped Lee Evans TD Pass and missed field goal on back to back plays that could've beat New England in New England to advance to Super Bowl. The very next season, beats Andrew Luck, Peyton in Denver, and Brady in New England, beats top ranked 49ers defense to win Super Bowl, last season, Beats the Steelers handily in Pittsburgh, was up 14 on the Pats in New England twice, skewered their secondary with Revis and Browner. Lost a great close game, despite having literally no healthy DB's on defense (which made New England's two comebacks inevitable) and gave the Ravens a chance to win late. If that resume was attached to Brees/Rodgers/Manning/Brady, would be well documented. That's literally his last three postseasons.
I know the 49ers lost this game, but Colin Kaepernick was able to actually WIN in the playoffs while Lamar Jackson is 0-2 now in playoff games during his career.

Ray Lewis last game Super Bowl a good way to bring one home on his last season to the greatest linebacker of all time see you in the hall of fame👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Same for Peyton Manning 2015
Too bad for randy moss though
This was a very memorable super bowl. Entertainment at its finest. But heartbreaking as a niners fan.
lol i remember going to my family's house that day and they were all 9ers fans out of nowhere. it was one of the biggest bandwagon moments i ever witnessed so when the ravens won i was so happy lol
Everyone started wearing 9er hats out of nowhere quick
they been wearin 9er gear all day from the bay to l.a , and the diego bay..and jerseys ..mostly the hall of fame one
Faiders fans are funny
There so Many Bang-wagon Patriots Fans
i was one of those bandwagon frisco fans. jumped ship as soon as this game ended! good riddance!
I miss that Ravens .. please come back
Oh we did
Brad Krauss oh no you didn’t
Jacoby Jones was a MADMAN this game. Dude really strapped on the jets for the big game
The 49ers would of won the Super Bowl if Kapernick gave the ball to frank gore or run an QB sneak at the final drive.
Too bad he loves Crabtree too much, which cost us the nfc championship the following year....

Who’s here after watching Jacoby Jones Bleacher Report Untold Stories Interview
The most memorable Super Bowl for me and I was cheering for the Ravens in this game even though they defeated my Broncos in the playoffs that year
Amazing season. Tough losses, our owner Art Modell died, but we still made it to the playoffs. Beat the great Andrew Luck and the Colts in the wild card. Beat Manning and the Broncos in the divisional round (one of the greatest games ever). Beat Brady and the Patriots in the AFC Championship game.
Before the Super Bowl Torrey Smiths brother died, Ray Lewis announced his retirement.
First Super Bowl where the head coaches were brothers, we became the first and only team to beat the 49ers in a Super Bowl.
Amazing performance by Flacco and Jacoby Jones. Ray Lewis ends his career with another Super Bowl. Only sad this is that Patrick Willis retires without a Super Bowl win because he deserved one.
I Still Feel For #82 T-Smith's Brother, Who Died at The Beginning of The 2012 Season,
Right After The Raven's Team Owner Passed Away Before The 2012 Season & The Ravens Winning SB 47 Over The 49ers,
Brought The Hardship of Pain,
Easy to Live With & to Continue to Play Football in The NFL & Evan I Can Admit That The 49ers Got Screwed Out of Winning SB 47.

I'm watching today because this was the best night of my entire life. I was there :) my first ever Ravens game and what a game to attend :)))
That was a heck of a game. Everyone played their hearts 💕 out. No shame to no one. The black out wasn't expected but somehow was a nice touch, in retrospect.
Gvvv.
lights dont go out this game is a blowout
The fact that two brothers coached the Teams that played a superbowl is incredible. Like I can only imagine how christmas or thanskgiving dinner is like. Just now it cannot happen besides conference championship game I guess ? Lets see
These were the days man... Colin Kaepernick was actually good and didn't kneel for the national anthem, ray rice actually played and didnt beat his girlfriend, Ray Lewis' last game, Aaron Hernandez wasn't a killer off the field, and back when Joe Flacco was actually good...
Who cares if he kneels or not thats his decision stop being soft
#RavensNation Brazil!
i'll never forget that punter became a LEGEND by taking that safety
Why didn't they hand the ball to Gore at the end?
One yard makes a difference.
exactly
I don't even know my self lol Seahawks did the same thing tho
Kap had a bromance with Crabtree. Unfortunately Crabtree is overrated. There bromance continued the following season when they lost to the Seahawks the same way.
Brandon Bryan so did the cards in SB '09
Such a good game. So underrated.
Sometimes i watch this game for that good nostalgia of early 2013
This is the first game I watched on my birthday this year I am a die hard ravens fan, and this is arguably their best game of all time. I hope they make a run this year
Idk I think the mile high miracle was the greatest Ravens game of all time. Still to this day the best playoff game I've ever witnessed
"A man possessed when the shit hits the fan"
I love you
Tony Starks Although I am obsessed with the Ravens, my NFC team is the Lions and I foresee a great 2015 season for both teams
Ql00 lplaceylki
Great memories, I almost cried lol #RavensNation

Great game! A very pivotal play looking back is at 10:25: 31-29 Ravens, 3rd an 9 on their own 21 with 8:35 left in the game, and they call PI on Culliver. Torrey Smith pushed off first, but they got Culliver, and 1st down for the Ravens.
Me coming back to this game in 2021 realizing how many great players were on that field like bruh oh my gosh
Should have gave it to Gore 3 times down there
8 years later, there could be another epic SB battle between these 2. Go Ravens!

I’m a ravens fan and he sucks
When I saw that opening kick at the start of the third quarter all those years ago, I screamed.
Best play I've ever seen on live television.
Still my favorite Super Bowl to date. I'll always treasure this one.
IF KAEP RAN THE DAMN BALL WITH GORE WE COULDVE WON AND BE A 6-0 TEAM!
But you're not and you'll be lucky to even get 6 wins this season.
RBJR9 Doubt it.
If the power never went out, the margin of Victory would have been bigger. That killed all the Ravens momentum
Jacoby Jones doing the Ray Lewis dance is my all time favorite moment as a Ravens fan
2020 and the niners are STILL Choking in the Super Bowl
Everyone seems to forget the blackout in this game. I live in CA, where everyone is either a Niner or Raider fan (some Rams and Steelers)... And EVERY niner fan tells me they were a play away from winning. The truth is Baltimore's momentum was killed after that rigged blackout. The NFL knew that people would change the channel and stop watching the game. They had to do something, and that was the best they could do, to hope for a Niner comeback.
Lol shut up
There wasn't a blackout in the Seahawks and Broncos Super Bowl so ur argument is invalid
+Ali escheik But wasn't that game outdoors???
They should've done it for the Broncos and Seahawks super bowl because they was the worst Super Bowl I've ever seen in my life.
"they called buffalo wild wings" LMAO
2024 anyone?
Nope. But the forty whiners choked away another SB 🤣

Ray Lewis is such a man. Love him
It’s laughable that Kaepernick can’t be on a 2019 roster, when he was in a Super Bowl, while there are still a few starting QBs in the league that are clearly worse than him.
most*
This was in 2013.
Colin Krapernick couldn't win the big one... haha but this game was awesome
Maybe that's why he didn't stand for the national anthem.

Had to rewatch this… RIP Jacoby Jones! This game was one for the books!
I say that all the time if one of the elites did what to he did eve hone would give them their due but not flacco.great comment my man
+Top_Notch_Sports Thanks.
Our hall of fame defense carried him every year
