Great video mate. I think this has been one of the true positives and silver linings of the pandemics. It's important we look for those things at times like this. The pandemic has really made people slow all the way down and stop for a moment. We spend so much of our lives taking 'home' for granted, not appreciating what is on the doorstep. Ottawa looks amazing to me!
Josh Edwards it really opened my eyes to how much we take for granted and taught me that adventure and travel is applicable to wherever you are, not just when you fly across the pond. Appreciate the kind comment my friend and would love to show you around this city down the line!
THANK YOU! I'd been considering moving to Montreal because I felt like Ottawa had little to offer but the past year forced me to actually explore and now I never want to leave
Wow, what a kind and generous comment! So happy that this video could help make you feel this way. Ottawa really is its own little gem and I’m thrilled that some are starting to see it that way :)
It’s definitely the kind of place I would go to for it’s natural beauty. Thanks for outlining the fact that we don’t have to take a plane to travel. This is what I said to myself, I have so much to discover in my country.
Thanks for the video. As a new immigrant currently staying niagara region, I felt Ottawa has good infrastructure and culture among many major city, I seriously considering to move with all of my family for upcoming spring. Thanks for the video, I love Ottawa!
I personally found Ottawa very boring, mostly anti-social, too governmental, lack of attractions as such no wonderland, big zoos, harsh cold weathers, etc., and this is coming from a very social extroverted guy who likes to be a fun welcoming guy.
@@shumayelkhan8154 not the best places bro. I'm not so sure about the other two but in general Canada lacks a social environment. I've heard from my second cousin that when he went to Calgary for engineer job it was a very conservative city, mostly work orieted, lacks social life, very toronto like with its buildings though, and their maybe a few nice destination trips their but not much. When it comes to dating life I would advise aiming for South America, Dubai, Greece, etc.
Try coming to Calgary, you may change your mind, it’s like stepping back in time where no one knows that there’s a huge world that exists outside of Calgary.
Especially if you come with no friends and no family and are new here in Ottawa I got depressed here. Staying here just for graduate then i go back home. Most people here are very anti-social from my experience trying to make neighbours and street friends, etc..
ABSOLUTELY!!! I'm in Greely but grew up in Westport- I keep exploring and finding gems here despite living in other parts of Canada 🇨🇦 have you enjoyed the local area on horseback?
Thanks for the awesome comment! I havent gone horseback riding since winter of 2016 when I was ejected off a galloping horse while on a trail ride. Up until that point I was enjoying it haha
If you like cycling....this town is awesome. East end to west...to mooneys bay for a pick up v.ball game...no cars, all trails. Be positive and you will meet people here, lots of outdoor programs to choose from. Lots to see. Everyone has a cottage....be brave...ask to go with. Lots of canoeheads willing to share. Jus sayin. Lots to do. And i spent 25yrs. In b.c. doing just that...thx. Bro. Sometimes its not the place...its the person!!!!
Very boring since the pandemic and since the Ottawa Senators are not a playoff contender anymore, no CFL and no festivals. I find it's kind of fun to ride an e-bike in Ottawa since there's plenty of bike path. My favorite part about Ottawa would be Canada day, not with virtual.
No, Ottawa IS boring. And you said it, it's the boring people who make up 99% of the city's population who are causing many including myself to vow to never live nor return to it. The conservative mindset is exhausting. It's unfortunate as I watched your entire video and appreciate the effort you put to outline the nice hotspots but at the end, reality check, Ottawa is a boring city.
Shumayel Khan single young man? Don’t stay in Ottawa. Come back when you have a family, safety for the kids , I’m Not sure about those cities , I’ve never lived.
No! Hard no. Personally, I've got roots in Ottawa, I can trace to the first homesteaders in the 1800s. Now, I'm a Ottawa refugee. Living in the North Okanagan, much better.
They’re only blaming Ottawa for being boring, aren’t there other cities? Washington DC is one that I can think of. In Canada, ya got the one the only, Edmonton. Not much fun there honestly. Only thing I can think of in EDM is the West Edmonton Mall and the Oilers.
Another thing....i have a pool. Bbq. nights and great gardens attract folk. Make yourself known and take the plunge....if you build it, they will come! Summer backyardiganery is awesome too. Life is what you make it...srop whining people and bust out of your bubble!!!!

I lived in this City for 4 years (2006-2010) and my only regret is leaving. I love this city
Alo, where is this place located in 3:46?
Probably because you only lived in the best years of the city's existence. After that, it was all down hill.
Where is that at 4:55 please?
Found it. Saw your waterfalls video. Chutes de Plaisance in QC
Eremite yup! One of my favourite spots around. Thanks for taking the time to watch!

This city is has potential, they just gotta add more entertainment, because it’s hella boring. Also they need to build more malls.

Yes i agree
As a city, the lion's share of it's development has been suburban, more specifically: suburban sprawl. Suburbs are cultural ghettos.
