Normally dance about Devi means normal audience expect a powerful Durga running all-around and killing monsters. Infact we don't have to. For Mother Goddess it is a left hand job. She kills them cool and relaxed. Priyadarshini ji is Goddess of bharathanatyam, specially for people like me who lives outside India and want to be a dancer and teacher in Bharathanatyam. I appreciate you Devi Priyadarshini ji. You are the all time Best. Maa Durga bless you with long dancing life.

Looks like a collage of pallavis from several compositions of various composers. I especially liked Sri Dikshitar's Ardhanareeshwaram aradhayami satatam in Kumudakriya ragam, followed by one in Ghanta Ragam. The abhinaya for the Shyama raga portion was also superb. Smt Priyadarsini Govind is very fortunate that she is blessed with a slim and petite figure, highly appropriate and desirable for Bharatanatyam dancing. The accompanying musicians have performed admirably. On the whole, very good performance, and quite pleasant to watch.

You used the word "desirable" which means only slim/petite is desirable. Making all the dancers above who were dancing queens as undesirable. Stop propagating unnecessary views on women figures or fat shaming.I forgot to also add balasaraswathi who was neither slim nor thin who accordingly to you had an undesirable body for a dancer!

Just for an additional information she has composed this entire performance herself and then it’s been used by others for their own performances. What is portrayed here is mixture of poignancy, profound brilliance and altogether her thoughts of looking at the composition since art is subjective it’s always open for criticism from well knowledgeable audiences. Having said all this her age, music’s intensity etc is just so unimportant that her own interpretation steals the show.

shruti suresh she is not wasting music..... though I won't blame u 4 thinking so.... u may assume it like that but the efficiency and the effortless grace that she brings into the dance is something we as master level bharatnatyam dancers dream of....... I don't think you hv experience as a dancer but take it from a girl who's been trying to achieve that level of performance for nine years now. also if you must know she ( priyadarshini govind ) is the director of kalakshetra . please feel free to google her.

Dance dance piece looks so plain and simples needs more grace and movement, i suggest more glucose drinks, boost and complain should be taken everyday before dancing so Priyadarsini Govind can improve better
