It was nice to see a case about something different. Usually, it is either a dog bite, car related or landlords withholding security deposit. I also liked that the plaintiff didn't try to sell his vet card.
I hate dog bite cases, you know the verdict immediately 😂 I do love the landlord/tenant cases. The one I hate the most is scorned girlfriends/ boyfriends that want all the money they ever paid while in a relationship.
Plaintiff Veteran: honorable man, competitive . Defendant: Smug, Smirking the Whole Time, His whole demeanor reads “Bully” from elementary school to adulthood.
It's not about his looks but about his demeanor. Everything about it pointed to him being a bully and targeting the plaintiff. That was not a sporting play and in no way was it an "accident".
Lazy cops and prosecutors who clearly didn't want to do their jobs. They had four witnesses that said that the defendant said that he was going to hurt the plaintiff. How much more proof of intent do they need?!?
Bro told Doug he was sorry about but couldn’t even do it in court 💀 and bro called him a lil girl even though he served our country 💀 bro is delusional
"I asked what number so i could yell at the ref. Then I might've said somebody is going to get hurt." Let's put that together, shall we? "What number?! Somebody's going to get hurt!" If that's not a threat I don't know what is
My initial reaction to the case description was that there was nothing the plaintiff could say that would prove a sports injury case. And I was right! What I didn't realize was there would be so much the defendant would say that proved the case.
I've been playing soccer for 41 years (I'm old and I play in an over 40 league now). I've been in both ends of receiving or committing fouls that were a little beyond the idea of fair play (I've never got seriously hurt or hurt anyone seriously as a result of that) . This defendant knew that his intentions were to send the plaintiff (who was a forward) a message on the field. I truly believe his intention was not for the guy to break a bone, however, he never tried to play the ball either and when that happens you truly risk injuring your opponent and now he had to pay for it. Don't know if he'll learn the lesson because it's hard to teach new tricks to old dogs, but $6k is a good punishment for that kinda behavior. Good on the plaintiff for suing, winning and keeping on playing.
I love the way he showed what his perception of it was too that he literally proved he wasn't playing for the ball. If it happened the way he described he put himself between the ball and the player and kept going.... where was he going if NOT to hit the player? In his story the collision happened and he was facing away from the ball 🤣🤣
"They're not choir boys." Defendant's witness is essentially saying, "He deserved it." Almost an admission of guilt in the absence of immediate provocation.
There are ways to get back at a player in a clean way (according to the rules) while simultaneously inflicting some pain. The defendant seems emotionally unstable. It was on purpose for sure
When you walk into a court room with an ego, pride and show no remorse more than likely it will not TURN in your favor. Better Decisions equals Greater Outcomes! Justice Was Served!
He's not talking about American football but Soccer, where bodily contact is NOT allowed, under any circumstance, therefore it was a foul and no wonder the defendant got the red card and was sent off the pitch. The defendant is a bully and I'm glad he lost big time...
@@guhio34any kind of contact that in anyway uses any kind of momentum, even a simple shoulder push is a foul. You can apply pressure to another player forcing them to move, as often seen in the case of corners. Beyond that all contact made not involving the ball is illegal.
The Defendant was SO shifty: hands in and out of his pockets, couldn't stand up straight or keep a straight face... smh lol, I haven't seen someone act so guilty in a while
Men's adult recreational soccer is very rough. They aren't as fast as they once were or as skilled so they try to compensate by being overly aggressive.
I actually played in a coed 18+ soccer team and had to quit because the older men 30 yrs + were upset that i was just really good. I was also the youngest and only black person in the whole league, long story short i had to fake an injury and leave the game early because they were ganging up on me trying to injure me. My own teammates didn’t do anything either which is crazy cuz why are there three grown men on me and i didn’t even have the ball smh
Sorry, guys, there is no tackling in soccer, you can't touch a player without pursuing the ball, an injury has to be the result of pursuing the ball and not an isolated assault. That's why he got a red card: that play is not allowed
My bonus daughter was an incredible soccer player, in a very similar play situation she collided with an opponent and broke her femur. Soccer is a very aggressive sport which involves a lot of trash talking
I could tell the defendant was a jerk the he arrogantly strutted into the courtroom. They sneering glares and laughs while the plaintiff was testifying confined my suspicions.
The disclaimer he probably signed would exempt only the league from any liability, not an individual player who targeted with malicious intent. The defendant is lucky he didn’t face criminal charges. A jury would take one look at him and peg him as the jock who thought he ruled the high school and still hasn’t grown up, 20 years later. He still thinks he’s all that and a bag of chips. 🙄
The defendant even when he's leaving the courtroom *he has that stupid smirk on his face* , like, "Hey! No big deal!" Well, there's always next soccer season, right?
The guy should know which of his clavicles was broken. In the defendant’s demonstration with Douglas, he adamantly states that he ran into the wrong clavicle!
People should not retaliate just because one of your teammates or friends got hurt that can get you in a lot of trouble don’t do it just leave cool off ..plain and simple mind your own business
This defendant wasn't people to believe that he identified the individual who caused a bloody nose and everything after that was just a coincidence? What a lucky coincidence, that he injured the same guy that caused the bloody nose after having identified him.
I can’t believe that the defendant was laughing through the whole case. He ended up saying he was sorry because the plaintiff is a Veteran, but his previous actions say otherwise.
Guess when you’re running your mouth about “someone is gonna get hurt” and then THAT exact person gets hurt, you know exactly that he hit him with such force to cause that much damage that it was on purpose.. and his comments about his niece having hers broken and she didn’t cry that much was yet another insult… Expensive mouthing off and getting back for something that wasn’t even done to him..
Starting at about 2:05 I can believe the defendant did it on purpose and has no control. He biting his lip making all those faces and rocking like he trying to stay in control. An overgrown bully. When he started talking he proved me right. His testimony added to the plaintiff's credibility.
The defendant looks like one of those guys who was bullied or teased about his weight and was insecure and has anger issues that followed him into adulthood
It was nice to see a case about something different. Usually, it is either a dog bite, car related or landlords withholding security deposit. I also liked that the plaintiff didn't try to sell his vet card.

Totally! But I personally LOVE dog cases 😅
Yes I appreciated that it was something different.

So scary how old the defendants are and how they’re acting. People like them are the parents of bullies.
Right! I'm sure he is on the sidelines at his kids game screaming at them to hurt the other kids
Sure are.
Typical soccer-players
💯 Exactly.
*@stellas1125* Dishonest and cheap soccer-players. That's why so good to watch a good professional players ana their awesome games.
100% believe the defendant has an anger/ violence issue. He is a ticking time bomb. His demeanor in court gives it away
Agree...There are fanatic ass sport people...My opinion is when people are overboard sporty, they have nothing else going on in life...Sad
He really should have been criminally prosecuted.
I'm surprised he didn't punch Doug.
He's frigging CRAZY and a BIG MISERABLE LIER...
The way he was laughing let me know he’s guilty with no remorse. Definitely was being childish and petty.
💯 That's what I thought. The guy just looks like a bully.

He absolutely did it on purpose. He just didn't bank on getting sued and losing.
The defendant is straight vicious and violent. He needs to be banned from all games.
Bully’s tend to think they are the smartest ones in the room, which they are not!
The judge didn’t even rule on the defendant’s ridiculous countersuit 😂
I love Douglas. He's always so graceful when assisting the judge.
Me too, plus of course he's great looking, and hasn't aged a day since the beginning, check his closet for the painting 🤔

Proud of the Judge for making the right decision!
the defendant laughing about the situation is very telling..
6,000 dollars isn't even close to what I believe the plantiff deserved. He's going to be dealing with issues from such an injury his whole life.
Wait for those cold days.
So what? He’s playing a competitive semi-contact sport. There are implied risks. And….he’s….still….playing
