my issue with most air purifiers is the gaskets are usually open cell foam type which I have to believe passes some small amount of air between the filter and case. a high CADR is largely defeated if some particulate near the floor is getting sucked up and kicked into the air. some of the holmes filters have a rubberized gasket, which is why i've been using those in spite of weak airflow and less than ideal filter changes, etc. i've had to use foam earplugs as shims on the non gasket side of the frames in order to get the right amount of pressure on the gasket.

I asked them about this. Their reply was that it takes the "pressure off of the filter." I Honestly feel they don't understand air purification. People with severe asthma and allergies need a machine that can keep the pollution levels to zero in their living space without making too much noise or use too much power. I agree with brands like air pura, aller air, austin and iq air. Gaskets can help reduce that number much better. Also, for people with MCS, can't have any off gassing as those particles can cause allergic reactions. There is a reason those machines do cost a lot. They are reliable, they can save lives, and they are efficient. While I do agree that this company is trying to make machines affordable for those who struggle and make us aware of sketchy sales tactics, I will say they might be missing a few points.

@@artofverity8791 Some high end machines have rubber seals on their filters to prevent any air from slipping through the other end. Like a seal on a n95 mask, it prevents any dirty air from getting through the other side. A lot of cheaper machines don't have this feature and can release dirty air because of the lack of a seal. Some will refer to this as a "sealed system." Vaccumes have this too. Sebo is one of those brands. Austin air, IQair, airpura, aller air, allen air, oransi, all have these seals. They are good if you have somebody who suffers extreme allergies and asthma, or you work in the medical field as many of these are used in hospitals.
