- The plaintiff is suing the defendant, her former friend, for defamation of character because she claims the defendant posted online that she had a sexually transmitted disease. The defendant regrets what she wrote online about the plaintiff, but she insists she only did so because the plaintiff posted inappropriate photos of her. The defendant is countersuing for defamation of character.

I was thinking the same thing! First of all, herpes is an OVER stigmatized disease. Everyone in the medical field knows this and it's because of people like him. He kept going on and on accidentally further stigmatizing it and talking about how horrible it is to have it. whether she had it or not, she works in the medical field and probably knows this.

My only issue with the planiffs story was toward the end she said some girl that she didn't know sent her a inbox. If the girl didn't know her how did she know how to find her on Facebook or any social sites? If she didn't know you she would not know how to find you to send you those pictures? Yes the defendant was out of line,but didn't make any logical sense to me.

I wouldn't do that like I wouldn't help everybody but people that I trust that I know it's not going to do me the way that this defendant did the plaintiff yeah I would help out because at the end of the day I have people help me out so why would I not give back people who are so easy to be like well there's so many negative people but then there's so many good people and they get left behind they get looked over and that's not fair to the people who are doing right who do need help and will help back out and do what they need to do so that they don't have to be in that situation again and they're grateful and they're doing what they need to do there's people out there that's willing to do those things but there's people like this person here who wants to mess it up for so many others I'd rather help the people who need help and if I do end up with someone who doesn't need my help I know to never help that person ever again that's how I see it

I don't fully agree with the conclusion. However, the law is the only reason why the plaintiff wins is because she definitely started it by posting a nasty picture of the girl online, knowing she did it with mal intent considering she had the girl blocked from her page. She just didn't say her name, so the girl retaliated but mentioned her name. I don't think that she was ungrateful at all and she should be given credit for her speech and saying thank you to them publicly. Mathis should've really took into account that the plaintiff started it the internet disrespect but only won because she didn't mention her name. The plaintiff started off crazy and I wish the defendant was heard a little more.
