    Thank you! I just started at a local grocery store today and there is a lot to do when you stock shelves with products.

    Great video teaching the basics of stocking and product rotation.
    Pretty great music in the background as well.

    You want the oldest product out front so the shelf life is longer

    Yeah. Def. Agree, some people think it takes too long but I think it's better than doing everything fast even if it's just to finish your shift, I think it's worth doing rotation 100%

    Here where I work we put the older in the front so it’ll be bought up and not expire and the fresh in the back if that makes sense

    • @riverview9320

      Yeah - he said "the fresh in front" - I think he meant: to keep from expiration old things move to front...

    more stores should follow similar standards. I found a couple 2022 dates and a 2021 date in the past 7 months in a local store, doesn't take very long to check. Checking is also important because products that entered your store more recently can still be older than what you already have in stock meaning you should push what's on the shelf to the back. It is rare but I have seen it, mainly just in products with a longer shelf life

    If you worked a a grocery store just two see what people are buying the most of , bought stock in that , would that be considered insider trading ?

    • @James-eq8cq
      @James-eq8cq 3 роки тому +5

      No, you'd have to be dealing directly with the companies that are making those products. Grocery stores are just middlemen with merchandise. If a lot of customers bought Coca Cola drinks, that might not directly translate into changes on stock price. But, if a top manager from Coca Cola told you that there was going to be a shortage in Coca Cola products because of a potentially poor deal gone south and you decided to short shares (sell high and buy low), then that's insider trading.

    I remember I got fired for the dumbest reason, my manager wanted me to put the boxes on the floor and then stock them while they are on the floor so I had to bend over and over and over again hurting my back, so I put the box in my left hand and stocked with my right hand, he caught me doing this multiple times even tho I told him my back was killing me, he fired me that day, now this is where the story gets interesting my manager was real gay and I kept wondering if he was making me bend over so he could see my ass or is it the actual way to stack things? (Im probably overthinking) but I am not willing to break my back over $11 an hour 60 hours a week. 😒
