Wow that's cool! Yes you're right! So often I went walking out in the daytime heat and NOBODY was outside! Only me silly enough to do that 😂 But you're right, at night - much nicer and really beautiful! Hope I can go back one day
I enjoyed that, keep them coming. $25 is cheap and it looks like a clean and nice enough room. I got tickets for the Munster v. Connacht game on the 11th May in Limerick. The cheapest Hotel I could get was for 300 EUROs a night and I would have to book for 2 nights. $25 sounds better.... When you say Western Toilet, what would the alternative be like ? In France they have these ones where there is just a hole in the ground and you are supposed to squat. Not my kind of Toilet. What does Tier 3 mean ? Mmmm, not so sure about the cat in the resto. Safe travels.
Yeah man squat toilets are the alternatives! Most public toilets are squat toilets here - although there will often be like 3 squatters and 1 sit down toilet to choose from. And yeah I definitely can't complain about the prices - far cheaper than anything in NZ
Oh yeah and cities in China are ranked in a Tier system - like big places Shanghai and Beijing are at the top, tier 3 is more like a medium-ish sized city
I would like it to be noted I watched this whole thing, and enjoyed it. Winner, winner Chinese dinner was a Highlight. That and seeing the bog in your hotel room. Tier 1 stuff that!
Ha .... Western toilet.....cos I know what the alternative is 😳🙄 Really enjoying these 3 episodes of your trip to Xiangyang... I guessed what the "martyrs" were going to be, that statue at the bottom looks a lot like the one in Tiananmen Square.... Smog is smog, for sure...
I liked that city the best. Street vendors, what was the guy with the noisy machine making? Noodles? You were right about night time being better, it was!
Yeah man it doesn't feel as "plastic" as some other places, feels pretty real. And if I'm not mistaken he's using rice to turn into a kind of crispy treat thingy
@@TwoCentsOnTour I used to live in Glasgow and it was like that. Edinburgh was the glitzy plastic city. I wondered, I went back and looked more closely. They would have been MegaNoodles! Next installment sounds interesting!
@@zworm2 yeah man it's one thing I both like and dislike about China. The development is crazy fast, but some of the cities end up feeling pretty much the same cos they're just all big new buildings. I always find myself drawn to the older areas with a bit more character

Isn't it quite interesting to experience small city in china? what's considered as small city just feel like normal big city in other part of the world..... and when we actually come to the big city in china for the first time, the sheer scale of the city and the people are just..... fabberglasting!
100% man - some people I talk to outside of Hubei have never heard of this place. And yet yeah, It's double the population of the biggest city in my country 😅
Yeah man as far as I'm aware it's not actually an official thing. But EVERYONE talks about it. People in Wuhan always talk about "now being a Tier 1 city" as opposed to a Tier 2 etc. I think it's mostly about how developed a place is
@@TwoCentsOnTour Cities are categorized based on their economic strength and size. Coastal provinces often have multiple economically developed cities, while inland provinces lag behind in terms of transportation and trade conditions. In order to reduce the attraction of coastal provinces to the population of inland provinces, inland provinces typically allocate more resources to their provincial capital cities. Therefore, the first-tier and second-tier cities in China are primarily the capital cities of inland provinces and the top 2-4 cities in terms of economy among coastal provinces.
@@pizzamonster8216 Yes, they would chase you out and ask you for it forcefully, yes I am serious. The first time i arrived in US (Long time ago), I wasn't aware of the tipping culture. After asking for the receipt and left the money on the table (for the food), I walked out casually and like 20 steps later, the waiter screamed at me and told me that I haven't left any tip. I was confused and argued back and forth for a while then I finally agreed on 10% extra. I was pissed (I'm sure she was too at the time lol) because I felt like I have to pay extra for something that should be included in the food price. It was later that I figured out that it was the norm in the states & the waiters have to earn their living from the tips. Basically in US, many business owners would pay the waiters under the minimum wages.....
thanks for keeping the videos going ...
think this is still your trip a year ago. The neon lights will drive me nuts, but each onto his own.
Yeah man still from a year ago!
I think you passed my apartment 😂,welcome to my hometown ~it’s a good choice to take a walk by the riverside after dinner,we like to do it too😁.

I've become more jealous as this series has gone on only to here you tell Tony you're going back now, damn it's a year already!
Yeah man crazy it's been a year aye!
Will we see new videos on Jiangsu while you are still in China? Or do we have to wait till you come back to NZ?
Probably have to wait for me to get back and edit them aye 😅 The travel part is the fun part, the editing less so
dude I'm feeling so weird seeing my sweet hometown on UA-cam haha
Haha hopefully more people go to visit, I really enjoyed it!

Love this blog. Hope you're having a good time this time. You didn't get to speak much Chinese on camera.
No not this time 😅 I tried to make conversation with the lady at the restaurant, but she wasn't in the mood

I wasn't ready for this one to end seemed really short. The lit up area looks a nice place to take a few pictures but not to live.
Only cities with subway have share-bikes which are meant to help you get to the subway stations.

The Crown Plaza where I was is $80 USD, but a very nice place. I liked Xiangyang, maybe I was not looking for money..😉

why not try XiangYang spicy beef noodles with yellow wine , that's really delicious than Wuhan
