- Be'lakor time! What can I say about this guys... I love them. I love their songwriting, their chordplay, their lyrics, Kosmas' brutal voice... It's a band with a very unique style. Probably my favourite band.
Venator is the first song of their second album, "Stone's Reach". I've heard it millions of times, so it was easy to figure it out by ear. Being almost 10 minutes long, I was too lazy to record several takes so I recorded each track in a single try. Mistakes are over there so don't be hard on me :)
Enjoy!
As always, all credits goes to Be'lakor, I do this for fun and I don't take any profit of this:

The best cover ngl
This cover is incredible! I'm so glad I stumbled across your video~. I've also been binging Be'Lakor and plan to eventually learn their material myself among other songs from metal bands -newbie guitarist here-, so this makes me even more excited for whats in store!
Keep up the good work, my dude!
That comment makes me feel so proud of my work! Thanks! Please subscribe or check out my channel to see all my work ;)
How could this not be awesome. Good to see you uploading! :)
very good bro and great band these austranlians guys ! Greetings from Colombia
Gracias por comentar! Glad you liked the cover :P
Killer cover of the greatest MDM band and the best song in their catalog. Well done!
This is a high quality cover for sure! Thank you. Good job!
Thank you! Be'lakor is a tough one for figuring out by ear, so your comment makes me so happy :)
I'm not a musician at all, but for as far as I can hear, you play this song very precisely, all notes are played exactly in time. Besides that you play transitions (between notes) very well. Be'lakor has sharp rhythm, I mean that in their songs main theme suddenly starts and stop and you certainly can follow it. I like your From Scythe to Sceptre cover too. Thank you!
Great cover dude, didn't hear any mistakes here
Glad you liked man, thanks for watching!
My man, you've got talent. Loved every second!
Smooth,Flawless, You are good man!
Can you share the link of guitar tabs that you used please...
Dude, sick cover. Job well done.
Amazing!
Brilliant!
Pretty well done there, sir
Excellent job man! Well done!! Also my favourite current band.
yo dude, excellent cover! But hey, I've been trying to find a full tab for this song, but I couldn't find a decent one, been wanting to play this song. Do you have any tabs or know where to get them for this song?
Very good.
Wooow!! Ficou muito bom cara, parabéns!! \,,/
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for your comment!
Such a nice cover!
badass
Solid cover man 🤘🏼
Nice job
What tuning is your guitar in??
great job dude lul
Amazing cover of a great song! You didn't make any mistakes, awesome guitar playing and tone. I want to try and figure out how to play the song, with your video, could you tell me which tuning this is played in?
Thanks man, I'll be really happy if my cover helps others to play! The tuning is D standard (DGCFAD).
Jesus Checa okay, thanks for the help man, keep up the great work!
I'm happy to help! You might also want to check out From Scythe to Sceptre, I put a tab in the description of that one.
Jesus Checa I've watched that one already, also an amazing cover :D but I didn't see the tab, I'll check it out! Thanks for the recommendation.
Anyone knows the scale? Natural minor in B?
I'd say it's a D minor scale, but I'm not very expert in music theory so maybe I'm wrong. Also, Be'lakor likes to include non-scale notes in some phrases so it's a bit misleading sometimes :P
It's a D minor scale but with a few extra out of scale notes added in
Benjamin Brown.
Natural or harmonic?
Natural with an added b5 it seems
Nice cover congrats! I am known as "Be'lakor cover hater >:( >:( >:(" because people somehow can not play songs of Be'lakor by ear and as an honest musician I don't like what I hear if it is wrong. I don't see any mistakes in your notation, just 1 little mistake in the play. Very good job in there! However Be'lakor always use D drop tuning if you want to play just the right way. Also I talk to Be'lakor from time to time, they love seeing their songs' covers from fans. Keep these covers coming!
Wow thank you for such a honest comment :) I knew that they use drop D tunning but I thought they also used E standard in some songs (scythe to sceptre), or standard D (countless skies), so thanks for letting me know. As I'm not using tabs but learning by ear, I preferred to keep with my standard tunning.
@@JeMaCheHi E standard in From Scythe to Sceptre is correct :) However in Countless Skies they still use Drop D. As you can see in live concert you can not change the tuning that much. Drop D to E standart is okay but changing all the strings like Drop D to D standard would make the tuning off-tune mid-song. Also it would take time so crowd might lose their interest. Anyway great job. I encourage you to check out my covers too. :)
@@1sloanin belakor ile nasil konusuyorsun? meraktan soruyorum

What is the tuning
Do you have tabs dude? Please send it if you can, give me reason to live
Sorry man, I just learned it by ear :( I think you will be able to figure it out by looking at my fingers or something :)
Well, I'll try. Thank you for such perfect cover, it gives me a chance to learn one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands)
So honoured to help others to figure out and play awesome songs like this! Also thanks for the comment, you made my day!
