Great presentation. One question though. If you want to show the temperature values up to a certain grade, how can you do it? I Mean to set-up a max. value different than the one resulted from the calculation. You have max 1. but I want to see just up to 0.5. Thank you.
I want to simulate the temperature analysis of solar plate front surface after spraying water over it. What should I do will it be the same way as you have done in this tutorial.
Hi, if you have to simulate a simple led heat sink how to apply a resistance in the external surface due to the paint surface? Why in my test laboratory the painter heat sink work better than the raw heat sink? ...thanks
Generally, there is a parameter called "nonstructural mass" inside the material data, this is used to take in account things such as coating and paint and additional small elements that cannot been simulated. Maybe there is something similar to consider the resistance due to paint. Check the manual of your software. Otherwise, I advise you to do some testing to understand if this is something that can be neglected or not.
Do you know how the heating works if let say i have two plates separated at distance x, plate A is 22degrees and Plate b is 100c.. how do i see the final heat distribution?
I believe that face select is the default. Try switching to edge select by clicking the box with a highlighted green edge on your toolbar. (Should be around the top-left). You can also use the hotkey (Ctrl + E). Hope it helps.
@@shakenbakeoutlaw396 I had this problem too. I fixed it by clicking "Surface Body", then changing "3D" to "2D". After that the edge selection worked.
@@Feaforall but why at time = 1, the boundary conditon temperature = 1, reduce from 22 to 1. I thought this is steady state means that the boundary condition does not change with time?
The bsest tutorial out there, i'd say. There's a lot of videos but no one explains what they're doing. Could be successful if you carry on with this and make more ansys tutorials. :)
Thank you so much! This software is not intuitive or straightforward and I was feeling very lost before this video. Super helpful!
Thanks Sir ! I have a question. How can I do the material properties like density change with temperature ?
thanks a lot sir. it really helped me getting started
My steady state thermal option is missing from the Analysis Systems. Any thoughts why?
are sizing mesh options u change not available in 2021 version cause i couldn't find so pls help

thanks for your efforts....you are simple and clear go ahead

Thank you for your tutorial. It is very helpful. Anyway, how do add custom materials?
it was a really amazing and wonderful tutorial. really informative

Painted heat sink especially in black colour will help in absorbing the heat from the source. ( black body- radiation concept)
thx alot it was very helpful tutorial but if i want to expose a constant magnetic heat flux how can i do this? and thanks in advance
This is the video i am waiting for
thanks for your video, i learned a lot
Thank you for your information!

And me please
can u plz update the video using ansys spaceclaim ??
you can select designmodeler as shown in this video by just right click on the optin named 'geometry'
Superb tutorial.
For some reason I couldn't get my convection edge to work, once I selected convection it would not allow me to select an edge, only a face.

@@markfindlay4669 as soon as I clicked convection edge selection was grayed out and not an option...
Same here! I just couldn't get to select edge only

thanks for this tutorial
Great tutorial. Cheers!
Thank you
I don't understand the tabular data. Why time[s] = 0 ; temperature = 22 ??
That’s the initial temperature boundary condition.
@@Feaforall but why at time = 1, the boundary conditon temperature = 1, reduce from 22 to 1. I thought this is steady state means that the boundary condition does not change with time?
error comes in solver output and evaluate the result not come in the menu.
