Why is it when people are making a video, 1 they are always breathless(as if you decided to make this video after finishing a 20mile marathon) and 2 trying to explain the valve without being able to remember the parts.
I think your spring is on the wrong side of the flat plate - it's pulling the diaphragm up. The water pressure pushes the diaphragm up and the spring should push the diaphragm back to seal the down tube as the pressure falls - the nut that tightens the spring then controls the frequency of the water 'pulses'.
