Tubular Bells. One of my favorite albums ever. Great deck too.

The Dolby switch is set wrong. It is Dolby 'C" when it should be Dolby 'B"

Well, most pre-recorded cassettes of the seventies aren't recorded with any Dolby. In the 0:50 the user disabled the filter.

What are those numbers 1-2-3-4-5 to the right of Cal on the display?

TBH I prefer CR-4 over DR-1, this was Nakamichi's last decent cassette deck. Not in the same league as CR-7 but it's pretty decent with the lastovers of bias and level calibrations left. Don't get me wrong DR-1 is also good but this got most of the essentials left in record.

The CR4 also featured a head assembly similar to the one that was found in the CR7/Dragon. The CR4 has a gear assembly at the head's azimuth adjustment which indicates that the head assembly might have also been used in higher-end models like the CR7.

I wish mine was in such great shape. Nevertheless it's great cassette deck.

Yes, this video has very bad sound, it was made with and old photo camera and had lots of background noise. need to do a new video with direct audio input from the nak to do justice on this brilliant machine. Thanks
