It can be tricky learning from books, specialy plural. When I started was so little on playing and Lenormand, specialy bc I was abt 13 or 14years old and I spoke only my native language, so I had to just go into it! Every day do the simple spreads and you will learn talk to the cards, write a diary. Thats the only way to learn. Or as me nowdays I got intrest in tarot and I watch, read everything but Im not practies it. What is ok too. You learn a lot a diffrent stuff by the way, hisory, astrology, qabala,etc. As long as you have fun!

I would like to know how you use directionality. In a GT how do you interpret the card above, below, left, right or diagonal? For any card. Which card has different meaning depending on direction?

I only use directionality in the sense that - in general - the cards are mostly read from left to right in sequence and only if directionality is confirmed or makes sense by the original way of reading Lenormand, otherwise I do not give priority to it, because in my opinion, this is up to a certain part a modern tradition and can often mislead. ( to me, for example, is not important what direction the person is looking at) I was taught that all cards that are around another card have more effect or less effect on them, which is determined by the meaning of the different cards that are close to each other. there is not always a certain card to pick out only because it touches another - mostly in a GT every card is important, even if it might be out of reach and does not touch a card we see as important to touch. hope I could answer you question.

Away the Fox has the effect that there is nothing wrong, so the effect of the Fox to the other cards and to the GT is a kind of positive or less important. With certain themes or questions it can be important to look at what is around the Fox, for example if you search for the truth of something or the truth of a situation.
