A fourth but more obscure reason to wear a helmet can be observed in the short video below. Watch for falling... Ice?! 😆

What do you like about efoiling over jetski/seadoo?

There's several reasons I like eFoiling more. The unique feeling is a big one. One of my favorite sayings is "The quickest path to Zen is a surfy one." eFoiling allows me to surf water and sky. I can salute the sideways stance in a more three-dimensional plane, flying above the water.
But you can also ride it sitting, kneeling, or laying.
It's even easier to transport and store. Freedom to take it almost anywhere anytime. It's quieter and leaves only a torn ripple in the water.
eFoils are highly customizable with different wings, mast lengths, propulsion types, and board sizes. The ride experience can be changed in a dynamic way to match skill, style, mood, water conditions, etc.
However, jet ski and SeaDoos are better for taking multiple passengers and gear. More utility. They have superior range for greater exploration. Higher top speed.
Jet ski and SeaDoos have less of a learning curve... But this could be a pro or a con depending on the person.
In the end, it's just what each person enjoys and prefers more.
I'd love to try one of the new foil jet skis and other alternative foil craft that are in the works/ coming out. Could have some thrills of both maybe.

if you're at Powell in the future, send me a message on IG and we *might* be able to meet up.
Wherever and whenever you try one I recommend a lesson. Foiling is different from any other water, sport or board sport. If you have previous experience with other sports it's wise to have some humility and approach it with an open mind.
I taught myself. And while previous experience can help. It can also make you overconfident as was my case. But it was still a great experience overall, teaching myself and I was hooked on the feeling in just a few minutes.
