She didn’t rush to dating him. She didn’t even think of him like that before the feelings started setting in. And even if she did have feelings for Simon before, he was with Clary and when they broke up, she wouldn’t have intervened. Izzy doesn’t mess relationships up.
Just because he didn't do it in the books doesn't mean he wouldn't do it here. There's been different events that changed everything. I can see him doing this here because he trusts Izzy. I love the books (in fact I have the Fearless rune intertwined with The Dauntless symbol as my tattoo) and I think the show is amazing, the cast is great and they work incredibly hard to bring the characters to life. But I always look at the movies/show as an extension of the things we didn't get to see in the book. So for example in the book there may have been a discussion off the pages where Jace cryptically explains to Izzy that he has feelings for Clary. We would never know because it's not mentioned. Just saying.
Him and Izzy are like siblings so it kinda makes sense that he’d open up to her about it everybody does XD like how Alec asked her for advise about his first time with Magnus and about how Alec asked her for advise because he wasn’t sure how he felt about Magnus
I too don't understand why the writer had to pair Simon and claire things could have been between Jace and Claire. They could have known they are not brother and sister and mingle again.the chemistry between them was so great then why entry of another man or women

She actually does she just doesn't like breaking up people's relationships. Her dad did that to her mom and it hurt her a lot because she knew about it. Seelies are master manipulators. They may tell the truth but it's for their own gain. The Seelie Queen did that to prove a point. Nothing else.
This show and the books don't make sense to me. I suppose it's because Cassandra Clare ripped off the Harry Potter series and jam-packed it with idiotic character tropes.
