- I wanted to build an Airsoft VSR based Sniper platform for when using my HPA SSG10 wasn’t an option.
I picked up an old stock Cyma CM701, in amongst a huge second hand sale I purchased (This video is on my @CammanExtra channel. I then went about purchasing some of the best upgrades on the market for the platform. The performance after I’d installed them all blew me away. Check out my highlights from Free Fire Zone Airsoft.

I have been playing airsoft for 5 years. I have played a lot with both snipers but also with AR. All the weapons have been from Novritch.
My question is what type of weapon do you like best, sniper vs AR? Why would you choose one over the other? What are the pros and cons?
Because I can't quite decide for myself what I like best. So would like to hear your opinion.
Im the guy in the first clip. I legitimately never felt those shots unfortunately. This is why i dont get mad about headshots. When walking through brush it can often be very difficult to notice a single BB. Is what it is.
Thanks for your comment, this is why I don’t like to add any ‘hit markers’ until a hand is raised or called. You just never know the circumstances whether a shot has been felt or not.

Canadian is too, but depends what community and company you role with.
Thats so true, it's a literal fight every other time you shoot someone because they either don't call hits or they get hit in the chest, flinch then proceed to say "no he intentionally shot my face/nuts" like not one person can play an honest game without being some self destructive kniving lil cheat that expects to WALK INTO THE LINE OF FIRE and Gerd mad that they can't stay in game long enough to take someone out so they stop calling hits all together or the good ol "I HIT YOU FIRST I SAW IT" sportsmanship is the exact reason I host my own milsims over a span of 8-9 camp grounds up north where we all camp and play with close buddies and no cheaters. I've had as big as 35 people come to a game and not one complained or tried to cheat. Yards are overrated especially in AZ 100% recommended host your own games much more fun
Its largely field dependent. My local has an amazing community built around it. Another field I go to sometimes, bad sportsmanship, lazy ownership, favoritism, overcharging,... list goes on. UKsoft looks like a treat from the US side though.

Buy natural Raffia and a cheap jar of Coffee. Make a large bowl of black coffee with entire jar. Insert natural Raffia into giant cup of black Coffee. Leave for a while, maybe an hour or so. Strain off the Raffia and leave it to dry.

Looking at all the nettles....wondering how the players that aren't gillied-up manage to deal with them? Bad enough when its berry brambles.
I’m not a ghillie but I barely ever feel nettle stings when I’m in my BDUs, don’t know what its like for ghillies though. i was thinking the same thing the entire time while watching
What would you say is your average engagement distance? As I know the lenses on the cameras make the distance look greater
Whenever I play with him, and when I used to snipe most encounters were within 80m but it can range from anywhere from 0m-90m depending on the field you play
For me a fairly safe distance is about 30-40 meters & no closer unless it is with a side arm

How can u tell if they are on ur team
At a distance? Good question. But in general, they have color markers to determine teams.
This is prominent in a lot of CamMan's gameplay vids.

If I may ask, what gear do you use? Especially regarding the goggles and the ghillie jacket?
CamMan - do you wear extra protection under your outer gear? I've heard that nettles can get you even through cloth.
Would love to see a sniper only match where you guys go camping out there for a couple of days until there's one sniper left, where everyone has the same gear more or less with some MRE's, would either be really interesting or sleep inducing.

You need to try the Flux magnetic trigger unit for the VSR. Put one in mine last week 😮😮😮, very nice.

Cam sits on top of scope. The cross hairs are visual effects added in editing.
Do you not have poison ivy and stuff like that over there? I'd be terrified to crawl through brush in my state for fear of getting poison something lol.
It’s very tame in the UK. A lot of the green foliage you can see is stinging nettles, but they’re not much to worry about when skin is covered. The only poisonous snake we have is an Adder, which is pretty rare. Then there’s the general ants, wasps, ticks, mosquitoes, but they’re not really an issue.
@@airsoftcamman Oh man, I am in Iowa, USA and here you can't really crawl around in the brush like you get to. Poison ivy, poison sumac, and poison oak are everywhere. Some aren't allergic and it doesn't bother them, others like my spouse, need shots to get rid of it lol. Thanks for the reply and have a GREAT day sir!

Nice shooting! I have a question. My VSR10 has some outer barrel wobble. Would it help to sand down the outer barrel so the screw lines up when it is tightened as much as possible. If this makes sense..

Snakes are very rare to find here in the UK, I’ve lived here my entire life and have never seen one in the wild
I guess there are some positives to living there after all. 😅 I had to catch and kill a western diamondback rattle snake at work a few months ago here in Phoenix, Arizona. It was the 4th or 5th snake I've run into at my job in 8 years.

I absolutely loved Airsoft but I started to feel bad about playing something that's really playing war. Pretending to be something your not. Since the ukraine was I stopped because its really taking the mick out of the guys that have to face death every day. Nothing is good about war so why play it. Your not special forces on a night time mission behind enemy lines ? Your dave that works in a office . I in the past would say all the normal arguments to defend it calling a sport a healthy get together. It's a piss take on people that have and are doìng it for real. Buy the time your read this another one would have been killed in a terrible way. If you find me saying this offensive then you really need to grow up.
Honestly, settling conflicts with airsoft over actual lethal warfare would be hella better, since it lets you appreciate the equipment and tactics without actual mortal danger as opposed to just accidents causing injury.
@@TheBanishedWind I'm sorry about my rant. My older son did two tours of Afghanistan and bit buy bit he's been telling me things ! Then you put the TV on and all you seem to see is war everywhere. Sad times and I think it just got to me. It's a shame because I loved airsoft but right now it feels kind of bad. Id never tell others not to play because I'm not like that so if others want to good of um.

Yeah it does suck but I find sports like airsoft and paintball give a place for such knowledge and tactics without needing there to be such awful situations and conflicts.
I liken it to FPS multiplayer games.
